In motion normal driving 45-55 MPH under acceleration on long on ramp to interstate. Reached a ramp meter. Accelerating form ramp meter, I noticed increasing power loss and could not reach highway speeds. All warning lights appeared (TPMS, traction control, transmission issues, etc.) I instantly merged right with flashers having to avoid another on ramp of traffic. At very rough idle I could not accelerate beyond 1100 RPM I tried moving again as the transmission seemed to work but very rough idle and again, would not go beyond 1100rpm. It was towed to shop. They notated "catastrophic turbo failure on both banks". They said it was due to a common problem they have noticed of an oil check valve filter screen. I recently had an extended warranty service done by dealer. Knowing the va

Vehicle stalled during highway driving. Failed to restart. Towed to a dealership. Diagnostic showed both turbochargers need replacement due to oil starvation caused by a design flaw.

My family and I were driving back home from a 5 hr trip when my car stalled completely on a 4 lane freeway. We stopped at-least 4 times during the trip and the car started with no warning/symptoms or check engine light at all. No hesitation on the power while driving. About 1 hour left until we get home, we hit traffic and luckily we decided to change 1 lane to the right from the farthest left(fast lane) before hitting a full stop. That moment, car stalled and it won't let me restart the car. I have no idea what is going on as I cannot even turn the car off/on and the electronics won't work on me as well. I am now completely blocking the 2nd lane from the left of a 4 lane freeway with a 70 MPH speed limit. Luckily I am not alone in the car and my dad is closely following behind us to help

We leased an Audi s7 which we were not made aware of having a fuel line issue at any time during the transaction. The dealership mentioned they were detailing the car and getting it ready for us. When we went into the garage to see the car, it was not being detailed, but the back seats were removed and gas was being siphoned from the vehicle. We were shocked and asked the service technicians what the heck they were doing. We were told that they were performing service to make sure the vehicle runs well. This was very deceptive but since we had already signed the contract, we gave them the benefit of the doubt. The car has smelled like gasoline inside the cabin since we leased it. It has made myself, wife, and other family and friends nauseous on numerous occasions. I reported this to the k

The adaptive cruise control and Brake asist features are only working occasionally. Some times it switches on and off DURING traffic while the car is moving. This is a severe saftey issue IMO and needs to be taken care of by Audi.

Turbo wheel sheared off the shaft and stalled the car while driving at < 5mph in parking lot. Unable to then start car and move it - needed to be pushed to one side to await the tow truck. There were no symptoms or warnings or CEL prior to the failure. Others have reported same failure at higher speeds or even on highways. This failure mode is dangerous and could result in loss of vehicle control. Audi should be performing a recall on this for all the vehicles they install this engine model into. I was only recently made aware of the ability to report this issue here, hence the delay in my doing so.

Driving on the highway during a road trip from florida to wisconsin, our engine stalled while coming to a stop. We managed to get it to an Audi dealer and it was determined both turbochargers were broken. Both shafts had snapped and the car was un-drivable leaving us stranded in georgia. This is a design issue for the 4.0t engines and vw/Audi has refused to implement a fix beside the oil screen band-aid. The oil screen, since it is not serviceable, will slowly accumulate debris and restrict oil flow to the turbos and cause them to be starved of oil. Simply removing this oil screen would be a suitable fix but Audi has refused to acknowledge their design is faulty. This failure could be extremely dangerous if they were to cause the vehicle to stall at speed or worse, have the engine ignite d

The ECU control module Is a known problem with this car by a great amount of owners. It is such a problem that the car part is on back order for weeks at a time. The biggest issue about this is that the car just randomly doesn’t turn on and randomly shuts down on the roads, freeways and even U turns. It can potentially lead to critical injuries
