2014 435i, charge pipe broke leaving me with no power. Cars behind me had to brake to avoid hitting me as I tried to accelerate onto an onramp
On 7/9/14, I backed our new 435i up to our garage (outside for the night). The garage door was open, and the warning system let me know that I was close to our lawnmower. Once I was close enough, I put the car in drive to straighten out the car, and immediately the vehicle attempted to accelerate to full speed. I was already on the foot break, but the car would not respond. Our driveway is concrete and quite slick. The rear tire spun uncontrollably, created a cloud of smoke, and left a pile of tire debris behind the vehicle. I hit the kill switch and refused to drive the car further. It is now 8/9/14 and we still don't have a resolution. We wrote a large check as a down payment for the car and are making payments on a vehicle we do not possess. I was told the vehicle would be insp
Charge air pipe for turbo exploded at 30k miles, complete shutdown on hwy into protect mode lost all power.
There is a major design flaw on the BMW 435i 2014 to people who live where there is rain. I was pulling into the parking lot of my company and there was a puddle from the ran maybe 5-6" (not enough to penetrate the doors and wet the inside) . I drove through the puddle and the engine hydrolocked causing the engine to have to be replaced. I was told by the service department that the car is low to the ground and that the air intake is on the front grill at the bottom. With this car being low, how can anyone drive in rain in an area where water accumulates? I was never warned or informed of this situation. I have worked at my company for 16 years and have had over 6 cars and have never had to worry about any puddle at the driveway of my business. This is absolutely ridiculous. *tr
My vehicle has 64,000 miles and I was exiting the driveway and accelerating up to 45mph when all the sudden I encountered a complete loss of power with sounded like a bang in the engine. My car immediately slowed down to under 30mph and started shaking. Luckily I was only 2 minutes from my house. I believe this part should be recalled because looking at all the complaints with other owners they have the same problem this is a plastic piece that under where in tear and pressure which is designed for it is failing. Some of the stories I've heard are pretty scary also like people being on the highway in this happening.
Separation of turbo charge pipe causing loss of engine power while in motion. Vehicle mileage at the time was 21,340.

While driving at moderate acceleration I heard a pop and felt a large decrease in power. Looked under hood and saw an obvious pipe broken off. Took it to beverly hills BMW.advised it was the 'left charge pipe' and to find out its the very few things not covered in ca emissions 7 year/70k warranty. Seams fairly common. Estimate $1,313.14!
On two occasions, january 2015 and may 2015 my 435i stopped while I was driving without any warning whatsoever. The first time I was crossing a very busy 3 lane northbound road to get to the left turn lane when without any warning the car just stopped. They was no engine light on dash. I was lucky that I was not hit as I didn't even have the opportunity to brake, to indicate to drivers behind me that I was slowing down. The lights, chassis stabilization and drivetrain malfunction came on the dash. Two pretty serious problems without any prior warning, a police officer got the car started and I was able to drive about another mile before again it just stopped. Warnings about the fuel injection and engine overheat came on in addition to drivetrain and chassis stabilization. The car

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 BMW 435i. While driving 35 MPH on a two lane road during inclement weather, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact was on a winding road and was able to coast over to the side of the road, which was extremely difficult. A warning light flashed for a drive train malfunction. The vehicle was unable to be driven and was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump assembly needed to be replaced. The contact was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 15v189000 (fuel system, gasoline). The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 22,000. I was driving in a city residential area, going about 35 MPH when the car stopped after sputtering a couple of times. No warning at all but there was a message on the dash, "drive train malfunction". I coasted to the side of the road, a grassy area just barely off the paved road. It was located on a curve. At the time, there was a thunderstorm with lightning and heavy rain. We were extremely lucky that that the car was not hit by traffic coming up behind me. BMW mechanics replaced the fuel pump.
My car had a strong odor of gas after sitting in my garage on days where the gas tank is full. I took it to the dealer and was told the gas tank has a leak. The issue from the dealer is: "fuel pressure sending unit which is not available separately from the fuel tank unfortunately." this is a car that was not yet 5 years old and has 33,400 miles. The car has not been in any accidents. It does not seem correct that a non-replaceable part fails on such a lightly used car. It also seems like a safety and emissions issue the manufacturer should fix. I have reported it the BMW north america but they do not accept it to be a design or manufacturing flaw and seem to feel the safety issue is my issue to deal with. I am reporting this in case it is a common problem on 2014 BMW 435i convertible gas
My 2014 BMW 435xi stalls on while driving without warning. The same issue was reported on NHTSA campaign number: 15v189000 for my vehicle model and year. When I input my VIN for the recall, the fuel pump issue isn't shown. For this reason, bwm will not pay to replace the fuel pump. My girlfriend had the same issue on her 2013 BMW 328i and BMW replaced her fuel pump and the problem was resolved. I believe the clean point established by BMW for this fuel pump issue wasn't correct or bad parts were still in vehicles outside of the clean point. My car has stalled on the highway while driving at least four times. It's not safe because the traffic around me has to avoid my car until I reach the side of the road to stop. I usually just turn the car off and wait a couple of minutes, rest

With only 14,500 miles the brake rotors are scored and stop distance has increased substantially. Brakes also very noisy. Dealer has told me because of high carbon steel in the rotors, they rust easily and are prone to scoring if not driven every day.
