I was driving my car when our of no where, the power steering stopped functioning and two messages started to flash on my dashboard: "Steering Assist Fault Service Required" and "Service Advancetrac" This was very dangerous as I could not steer the car. Once I was able to get the car home, I scanned it and received these two codes: "C0051 Steering Wheel Position Sensor" "U0420 Invalid Dates Received from Power Steering Control Module (PSCM)"

While driving on the highway, I noticed a "hitch" in the steering. The car would wander one way or the other and when I attempted a normal, minor steering correction, the wheel would hit a "hitch" which would require a little more of a tug to get past the "hitch". It became a real issue to drive the car in a straight line without zig zagging down the road, because minor corrections could not be made without a tug. When I got off the highway onto two way traffic, the issue was more concerning as tugs were needed to be made to keep the car from pulling towards the road centerline into oncoming traffic, then back towards the ditch. The "service advance track " and "uphill assist" warning messages appeared as well as the traction control off icon. The Ford garage indicated the Power Steering C

I started the car and had to warning lights come on. One warning for steering assist fault, and the other for service advancetrac. I read online that Ford is recalling cars same year and model for the same issues. But no recall for mine - why??
I purchased the car from Carvana in February of 2021. 2 months after purchase there were issues with the steering. I brought it to a mechanic to find out that the bolts had corroded and were completely sheared off causing the steering gear motor to be seperated from the steering gear. I found that this make and model (and year) of my vehicle is well known for this exact issue and was subject to a recall in august of 2019 (recall number 19V632000) however my VIN is not flagged as having this issue (which it clearly does as i cannot even drive my car now). My car was originally sold in Michigan and according to the carfax has remained in areas where road salt would be an issue for the bolts in question. I have contacted Ford and been told there is nothing they can do. It is now a very
Power steering stops suddenly after advance trac warning appears making car dangerous to drive. Occurs both stationary and while driving. Power steering and advance trac stop working.
Loud creaking sound which sounds like parts breaking from lower front area of the car when the steering wheel is turned most of the way to either the left of the right. Ford dealership says it is a sign that the rack & pinion will fail. Sudden loss of the power assist could surprise or overpower the driver, leading to a crash. Breakage of the steering gear might cause loss of steering functionality, leading to a crash as well.

A part for my cars 'shifting cable' has been recalled several times, prior to the recall I had to personally pay out of pocket to replace said shifting cable. At this time my car continues to have severe/dangerous shifting problems. Ex: when I'm driving and it's needs to shift gears the car jerks incredibly hard. When I stop at a stop sign and attempt to accelerate I get nothing like the car has shifted to neutral. Pedal to the floor car will not go. As you can see this can/could cause a severe wreck, hurting my self my children, and other drivers. This part I can not afford to replace as every time I take the vehicle to Ford the piece that has been recalled is not specifically the problem but in the same area. I'm at a loss on how to handle the situation. I'm reaching out with great conce
Bushing with transmission cable came off, with it in gear, even tho shifted into park, its a known recall on other models but this one is not recalled, and I had to pay for this to be fixed. Not right

Tire in for service, firestone rep stated lug nuts need to be replaced, they are "mushrooming" which could cause an inability to remove the lug nuts in case of roadside emergency.
Tires wear out prematurely at 20-25k miles in my case every 10-12 months. Tires have been replaced every 10-12 months since car was new. This is not normal by any means. Someone is going to have a blowout due to the extremely fast wear on the tires. This could severely injure or kill someone. Tire picture attached is one year old and has been typical of one year tire wear since car was brand new.

Engine- I notices when im at the stop light turns green my vehicle take a few seconds to accelerate, it makes a horrible pull straightforward motion. I notices the body paint chips horrible in odd places on the vehicle.
I drive a 2014 Ford fusion se with a 1.6l ecoboost and a 6 spd manual transmission. It had approximately 40,500 miles at the time of the incident. Upon reaching a speed of 35-40 MPH while accelerating (I shift at 2500 RPM's) I heard two chimes similar to the chimes the car makes when I start it. Once the chimes finished sounding my instrument panel went black except for the needles which all came to a rest into the "off" position". They still remained lit. I had no dashboard lights. My car lost power at the same time and the steering became slightly harder than normal. There was a very small amount of throttle response and then no response. I was able to coast onto a side street where the car completely went dead by the time I came to a stop. Before coming to a stop my brake pedal pushe

Early on in ownership and under heavy acceleration from a dead stop, the front tires (goodyear eagle 235/45r18 98y) would lock, hop, skip until acceleration reduce. As of mid-december, under even light acceleration from a dead stop going up hill, the front tires would lock, hop, skip. The dealership confirmed the existence of the problem 11/24/2014. The dealership tested the issue per Ford motor company and found that fusions with the same tires produced the same unwanted results. Though Ford motor company is aware of the problem, it will not authorized tire replacement to Ford fusions with the eco-boost, 2.l engines vehicles. Ford's position, according to the dealership, is that the mounted goodyear tires are sold as "sport" tires and as "summer" tires. Virginia has four seasons and

My engine light came on. Code is PP0456 - evap leak. Dealer found that gromet/seal on tank is failing. This part is not serviceable, so the entire fuel tank needed to be replaced. After dealer discount, the cost was $2242.24. Dealer is Larry H. Miller Ford, Mesa, AZ, phone (480) 530-9600. I have owned many Ford vehicles since 1978 and never experienced such an expense. In my opinion, this is a design issue since the rubber seal is not serviceable. This experience is causing me to lose faith in the Ford brand. Is FMC willing to assist with this expense? Please note - this vehicle has only been serviced at the dealership.

The contact owns a 2014 Ford Fusion. The contact initially discovered that the engine was consuming an excessive amount of coolant. There was no warning light illuminated. Upon inspection, the contact discovered that the coolant level was low; however, the contact later discovered that the coolant level was low again soon after topping off the coolant reservoir. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. Upon inspection, the contact discovered that coolant was leaking into an engine cylinder. The dealer was notified of the failure and was given an estimate for a diagnostic test. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NTHSA Hotline. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 108,000.

The first time I drove this car on less than one inch of snow, it slid through turn. I was driving west on hwy 30 at around 40 m.p.h., slowed and entered turning lane to turn north onto hwy 21. When I brake, car slid so I applied brakes a little firmer. The ABS were active and making the bing-bing-bing noise they make, but car slid through northbound lane, stopping finally with car over yellow center line of southbound hwy 21 traffic. Thank god there was no car sitting at the intersection, because I would have hit their driver's side. I have had zimmerman Ford in cedar rapids, ia look at my brakes twice now, with no resolution. I even replaced tires after this event and had one of their servicemen tell me they had the same issue with his fusion. He too, replaced the tires, which had no eff
