Engine has began working rough in idling, rpm bouncing on the low speed and traffic. Check engine light is on. So far, I have seen too many people experiencing absolutely the same issue with 1.8t engine with low mileage driven

The vehicle is known for intercooler icing and Volkswagen dealerships don't want to do anything unless they can replicate it. After driving in cold weather and starting the car up again the intercooler has water build up from condensation that can potentially hydrolock or destroy the engine by pumping water through it.
Went to start my car and car would not start. Called local vw dealer. They thought I should try to get a jump for the battery. I knew it was not the battery, as it is a new car. They suggested I call vw roadside assistance, which I did. The car was towed to the closest vw dealer. Was told the car was in hydrolock and ice was found in the hose and intercooler. After removing the glow plugs, ice was also found in the cylinders. In addition, ice was also found in the oil and oil pan. I was told by the service manager that this was a known issue for vehicles in the northeast. The "fix" was to install an updated intercooler, pressure sensor and valve in the front of throttle body. My concern is that if this is a "known issue" why is there no recall. Also, I feel that the engine has
The contact owns a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta. The contact stated that the heater and the defroster were inoperable. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the heater core was replaced; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to another independent mechanic, where it was determined that the vehicle was designed with a silica bag near the coolant reservoir, and the silica bag had ruptured, causing silica to leak into the engine compartment and to clog the heater pipe. The mechanic was able to flush out a significant amount of silica; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that she resided in a small country area, where it was significantly cold, and the defroster and heater failure had reduced the contact's ability to see the roadway while driving in co
Car began using excessive oil in last year. Started about 60,000 miles. Currently 69,000. Today would not start and no low oil light. Checked oil and low. Any help as what to do? Thank you

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 Volkswagen jetta. The contact noticed that fuel leaked onto the ground. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the transmission oil cooler seal needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The dealer (norm reeves Volkswagen superstore irvin, 20 auto center dr, irvine, ca 92618, (866) 938-3392) confirmed that there was no recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the contact to call NHTSA. The contact referenced NHTSA campaign number: 14v182000 (power train). The approximate failure mileage was 70,000.
The vehicle skipped regularly when leaving a stop light. After a long trip requiring a significant amount of stop and go due to holiday traffic, the check engine light and hybrid malfunction system error lights came on. When I took it in to be checked, the dealership informed me that the transmission would need to be replaced. This seems to coincide with the errors that were part of a safety recall for other vw jetta hybrids made in the same year as mine. However my vehicle did not fall under the same recall. The vehicle has less than 60k miles. I have done my research and it does appear that other 2014 jetta hybrids have similar issues and are also not covered under the recall.
Hello, Recently error codes P309D and 01314-013 were detected via a code reader. Translation of codes indicate Powertrain System and/or ABS ECM. The vehicle will lose power upon downshifting which requires the engine turned off and back on. Once the car reaches normal operating temperature, the issue does not occur. In addition, the Hybrid System is not available. The monitor indicates the battery is being charged. The battery will discharge power, but not to the engine. Not sure where it goes. Finally, the loss of the Hybrid System has resulted in a lower miles per gallon from 45mpg down to 29mpg. Vehicle is available to inspect. Loss of power puts me at risk. The issue has not been confirmed by an Independant source including dealer, police and insurance company. The vehicle
Tl* the contact owns a 2014 Volkswagen jetta. The contact stated that the vehicle was driving sluggish and was slow to accelerate in any gear. In addition, various warning indicators illuminated. The contact was not able to drive over a certain rate of speed. The vehicle drastically drove slowly and then raced into third gear. The dealer diagnosed that the fuel injection may be at fault, but provided no specific diagnosis. The failure continued. The dealer stated that the o-ring needed to be replaced. If that did not provide a solution, the transmission may need to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was invalid. The failure mileage was not available.

Rust-rotted fuel line clamp failure released gasoline fumes: I smelled raw gasoline fumes after opening the right passenger door to let out a passenger after driving about a half a mile from a cold start. A mechanic traced the fumes to a rust-rotted clamp on the fuel line that was allowing raw gasoline fumes to escape. He said the clamp was on the passenger side 'on the line that goes to the injector fuel rail near the firewall.' I collected part of the failed clamp from the mechanic. It appeared to be rusted and of an inferior material not appropriate for safe use on a fuel line. I have photographed it from two angles.
Heating for car cabin. My car is a 2014 and this year in the middle of winter in chicago. My heater gave out. I have no heat. There is a recall for the same default part on the vw passat tdi but not for the vw jetta tdi, even thought the problem and the solution are the exact same.
My car's transmission oil cooler is leaking transmission oil all over my car/under my car. My mechanic diagnosed the issue. I took it to vw dealership for another diagnostic only for them to not fix the car after 700.00 and I was told the car was fixed until I drove it 10 min down the road and the car was smoking and leaking oil everywhere. The car almost caught on fire due to the leak.
I moved my car from the front of my home to the back and when I tried to shut off, the key broke off in the on position. I had to get pliers to remove the key. I had another key, so I didn't think much about it then. Then a few months later it happened again. They key was stuck in the on position and would not shut off. The key did not break off, so I had to let the car run. I had to get my nephew to come over and he had to disconnect the relay and disconnect the battery. We could not get the key turn back to the off position. I called the dealership, and they told me I would need to have it towed and they would need to take a look at it. I went on the internet to see if this was a common issue and it was, but none of the solutions would work for this make and model of my vehicle.

First owner, brought brand new, serviced the car every 5k, current 61000 mileage, no prior repair or accident. Nov 16, 2022 Jetta’s engine light went on suddenly, next day engine light off, then it went on and off for a couple of days. Drove to the dealership Nov 21, was refused to check as they're too busy; drove to AutoZone Nov 22, did a diagnostic check, trouble code P0131 (power train system) and 02214-002(Anti-lock Brake System), suggested replacement of an Oxygen sensor. Four days later on Nov 26, drove at the parking lot at low speed between 10-15 mph, the car suddenly stalled for the first time. Was able to drive 1.6 miles back home at very low speed. Nov 28, 2022 Dealership was fully booked; was able to drive the car to a close-by shop who said could fix it. The independent shop

suspension 1 complaint shown
I have a 2014 gli autobahn with the paddle shifters and the sports mode option. Today I engaged the sports mode option and the vehicle's RPM were almost redlining but it will take awhile to feel the shifting on the trans. I am worried that this may be a problem to the trans on this vehicle. The second problem that I am having I believe is the suspension due to the smoothness of the vehicle is no longer their. I have not taken the vehicle to the dealership yet but will soon. Please advise if any others have complained about the same issues that I am having. Thanks. *tr
brakes 1 complaint shown
When driving at highway speeds the brakes seem increasingly ineffective. I was in a fender bender due to weak braking in an emergency situation going approximately 60mph at a seemingly reasonable distance. There were absolutely no skid marks or tire squeals. It seemed that the harder I pressed the brake pedal the less effective the brakes were and I believe that brake pedal actually hit the floor. I have noticed the brakes felt spongy before when braking heavy. I have also noticed that when the car sits for an extended period of time the brake pedal feels rock hard for a little while after starting up. Does not feel safe! *tr
