While driving the vehicle and making a slow speed turn into a drive way, the wires in the clock spring portion of the Driver airbag were severed mechanism. This has caused the car to no longer have airbags on the Driver side of the car. Volkswagon has recalled some of the car in this model year, but they continue to say my vehicle is not affected. When this happened, I had less than 90,000 miles on the car. I am unable to fix this defect because of the cost and honestly, I shouldn't have to as Volkswagon knows it's an issue and has made recalls of their cars, but they don't include my model year. This is wrong, as the issues I am having are the EXACT SAME AS THE CURRENT RECALL. The recall needs to be expanded to more cars in the 2014 model year. There is no way debris should be able to en

Vehicle engine abruptly stopped running on roadway. No prior symptoms. Would not restart although starter properly engaged. MIL light did not illuminate prior to stoppage. BlueDriver device showed no stored codes. Tow required. VW dealer service department was backed up and stated they could not even begin diagnosis for 2 to 3 weeks. Independent service technician diagnosed problem as failure of fuel pump control module and replaced the module.
Heater not blowing hot air. This seems to be a major problem and vw even recognizes the issue. This should be a recall warranty item. Here is a link provided to what I have found. Https://f01.justanswer.com/kyleskrautcar/1c235176-e1b5-4388-847a-18433040b6b5_v801601.pdf

Purchased 2014 fully loaded passat on 10/26/13, safety issue with car due to my 1.5 hr daily commute. Extremely poor quality when using bluetooth through care stereo, not recognizing names on iphone 4s causing driver to remove eyes from road to look up number which is a major distraction especially during night driving. *tr
I have a 2014 vw passat-car went in for a recall for airbags. (vw is saying that it is not takata recall) at the time my car was taken in, there were no problems with it. Had the recall completed and maybe weeks later my clock spring goes out (took a right turn, heard a click, and the "seatbelt airbag malfunction" light turned on) all the controls on my steering wheel go out, including the horn. I take it it to vw in scottsdale shortly after this happened and they told me that it is not related, not covered, and that my car was not part of the takata recall ..(on their website it states 2012-2014 passat included in the reacall) the service manager I spoke with said that he has never heard of the clock spring going out on its own. Little fishy how nothing is wrong with my car, I get the re

The heating of the windshield and side window defrosting system not working on the passenger side of the car. Vw has already recalled the 2014 passat with the diesel engine. Going back home from tennessee on the interstate at 66 MPH the outside temperature was negative 9 the passenger side windshield developed ice on the inside of the car along with the passenger side window. We had to pull off at a exit and scrape the inside of the windshield and side window. We continued on are trip home and had to stop about an hour later with the same problem. We had to wait for the outside temperature to rise up and the sun to come out. The passenger side windshield and side widow inside would not clear up and had to be towel dried all the way home. Talked to vw of america there comment was they had n
cruise control 1 complaint shown
I was taking an exit ramp onto the highway when my car just started accelerating on its own. I pulled onto the highway and was cruising at 55 mph. The car then jerked a little and started to accelerate past 60 then to 70. I pressed the brakes and nothing happened. My car then accelerated to 80 mph. I continued pressing the brakes to try to slow down but nothing happened. Then I heard a loud crack sound and all of a sudden the car started to slow down. That is when I realized it had actually shut off. So I pulled to shoulder and had it towed to a mechanic shop. It turns out the road hazard that I ran over was probably what saved me from serious injury or death. It busted my oil pan and that is what caused the car to shut off.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 Volkswagen passat. While the vehicle was undergoing maintenance by an independndent mechanic, trasmission fluid was found leaking undeneath the vehicle. After looking up recall infofrmation online, the technician advised the contact to take the vehicle to a dealer. The contact called the manufacturer and was informed that although there was a warranty on the vehicle, it had already exceeded the mileage limit. As a result, the manufacturer could not assist with the repair cost. The manufacturer also did not assist with scheduling an appointment for the contact since there was no recall for the failure. The dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 84,000.

steering 1 complaint shown
When steering the vehicle, with minor lane correction inputs, there is a counter force from the vw electromechanical active steering system that will not let me turn the wheel unless I apply harder pressure. When the steering wheel frees up, it?s as if it broke free of some sticky substance. At times this force has been so hard that the passengers were jostled in the car. Vw mechanic has described the issues as a dead spot in the steering.. The issue occurs under the following conditions; 1) on an interstate highway with relatively minor camber angles. 2) on new very smooth dry payment ? Important - does not occur on rougher newer pavement. 3) set speed control at 64 MPH - occurs at higher speeds as well. Have not experienced the issue under 60 MPH. 4) occurs in all lanes but I driv
