Went in for a recall notice I received for my 2015 Acura tlx specifying a possible faulty transmission in car - went to go have it looked at. Determined by tech that car was not experiencing exact issue in recall but car should have a TCM software update since it was jerking at the 2-3 shift. When I received the car back it was 10 times worse! Still jerking but now was jumping on every downshift every single time the car decelerates on every shift! This is a safety concern that is very serious and needs to be addressed by Acura - a new transmission should be called for since the car is under warranty. The car also just goes to 2-3 RPM's just while sitting idle in park now - my car's transmission is completely wrecked due to this TCM software update. Already called Acura to request a formal

I have had the vehicle into the dealer 3 times (feb 2018, july 2018 and nov 18) for the same problem. Each time the vehicle stalls and must bet into park and restarted when at a stop sign, stop light or stopped for road construction on the highway. The automatic idle causes the car to stall. In order to get it going must shift into park and restart. It is very frightening because it happens intermittently. This happens with no warning and presents a safety issue. The car is not safe and is a hazard.

Low speed acceleration - shifting from 1st or 2nd or 3rd (not sure) gear to next gear is not smooth. It is a fairly hard shift. The rest of the shifting is smooth 4-9. Also automatic downshifting creates an odd speed up for a second to what seems like a rev match to try to make it smooth, but causes problems on slippery roads. Also early warning brake warning signal is very intermittent and works sometimes and not others in the exact same lighting situation and car position and same type of car directly in front of me. *tr

The fuel delivery system, specifically the fuel pump, has malfunctioned. This vehicle is subject to a fuel pump safety recall, which was reportedly repaired in 2022; however, the vehicle continues to experience the same failure symptoms and is available for inspection upon request. The vehicle has stalled multiple times at highway speeds, resulting in sudden loss of power while driving and creating an immediate risk of collision with surrounding traffic. My family was in the vehicle during these incidents, significantly increasing the risk of serious injury or death. The problem has been reproduced multiple times, including after the vehicle was taken to an authorized Acura dealership. During the most recent visit, diagnostic trouble codes were cleared, but the recalled fuel pump was not r

Three years ago, the car started stalling at traffic lights coming to a stop battery was replaced and the problem went away. A new battery was installed a few months ago and in the last week the same stalling situation has occurred three times. Acura says there’s a software update, and when the car was brought in for the recall on the connecting rod bearings, they said they refreshed the software pertaining to this issue, but obviously it does not work others say that it has to do with the idle stop and that disabling it resolves this problem. I haven’t tested this yet, but I am going to, but it’s an ongoing problem. That’s a major safety concern and could cause a fatal accident.

I was driving, and my car started slowing down smoking under the hood with a loud noise under the hood like a knocking sounds. Then I heard a loud bang. Paid a tow company to tow my car to the shop mechanic found a large hole in the block. Last oil changed was 03/16/2023. I called acura to see if a recall had been reported after learning about other people having the same issues. It didn't seem normal for a car to blow a block that had oil in it and only 99,000 miles on the engine. Now my car is in the shop and I have been paying to get the engine replaced. Yes, you guys are on point! I had my 2015 tlx v4 advanced pack. And every single complaint I read on here I have! This is very nerve wrecking! I took in my Acura two weeks ago to sherman oaks center Acura, where I originally purchased the vahicle and explained everything that I was experiencing; e.I. Jerks, sudden revs, delayed upshift/downshift. The repair center personnel advised me that the vehicle just needed a "simple software update" and that not to be alarmed because Acura will have future updates. So when I went to pick up my car I noticed that the car felt as though I was driving my girlfriend's 10 year old corolla. The car is a f*** piece of s*** I tell you! It lags more and he vibrates too much! This is a safety hazard!

When I am at a complete stop with my foot on the brake, it feels like someone is bumping me from behind to make the car go forward. Or another way of saying would be that the car is trying to accelerate when my foot is on the brake. Also, when accelerating, it feels at times like there is not enough gas and then the car starts speeding up. The transition is not smooth. I was told by the salesperson it was a shifting issue and the car needs to warm up. " it was not a big deal." the problem is there were days that it was warm outside. I have communicated my concerns to the dealer several times; however, they have yet to give me any answers or suggest it may be on a recall. I just contacted another dealer and they said my car is not on recall list. This is a huge worry that there

Almost immediately after bought I noticed my 2015 Acura tlx 3.5l v6 jerked significantly between gears 1-3. I have a one-hour commute each way in stop-and-go freeway traffic, and the problem is hugely annoying. Frequently it jerks so hard that my head hits the headrest repeatedly. I feel like someone rear ending slowly, at the end of my commute, I'm wiped out from all the jerking back-and-forth. The dealer says Acura is calling this "a characteristic of the vehicle" for which there is no fix. Apparently I just have to live with it; even though Acura has extended-the warranty for 10 years of period seems like Acura dealership doesn't really wanna do anything about it. I went few Acura dealerships and show them the recall notice which received in the mail still service advisors refusing

2015 Acura tlx frequently stalls, does not restart when idle stop feature is used. This is a safety issue when at an intersection and I am stalled, having to put the car in park and then restart the car. Brought the car in twice to Acura in 2016 when I initially purchased the vehicle, brought it in again to Acura this week and they are unable to fix it, indicating this has been an issue with tlx's and mlx's. Said replacing the starter helped one customer but since not under warranty and my starter (and batter and alternator) all check out fine, they didn't recommend trying that. Normally I turn off the feature (which they are unable to permanently disable) which is why I haven't brought it back in more frequently but it is very concerning if I forget to press the button to turn off the

Sunroof glass shattered while driving down the road. There were no cars in front of me and I was only going 25 MPH as I had just begun to accelerate. This could not have been a rock but a defect in the car. If the visor wasn't closed glass could have fell into the car and possibly cut someone. Acura needs to address this as this is not an object hitting the vehicle.

The contact had initially taken the vehicle to an unknown dealer in West Virginia which has since closed, and a software update was performed; however, the failure persisted. Purchased a brand new vehicle in september'15 and since day one I have been experiencing vibrations during highway commute. The car has been serviced 5 times so far the vibration has actually been made far worse then what they used to be. The seats, the seat buckle, even my child car seat vibrates/shakes when driving. The vibration can be felt all over the body when driving. The vibration is soo bad now, that the car is unsafe to drive on a highway.
