Date of complete failure noted below (09/05/22) On 2 previous occasions, approx. 7 days earlier and a week earlier as car was making a slow left turn, not from a stop, one rear wheel shuddered, and the engine seemed to rev as if missed a gear. I lifted off the throttle, and then the car operated normally. The complete failure occurred (3rd occurance) on Sept. 7. Accelerating slowly from a traffic light, turning left (again), the car exhibited the above, but much more severe. I was finally able to gain speed, but drove slowly to try to get home, about 1 mile distant. Many malfunction messages came onto the screen (listed below) Got the car home, tried to put car into "Park" but park would not engage. Engaged the emergency brake to keep car from rolling down the driveway. Shut the engin

I then booked an appointment at BMW encinitas on monday, 6/3 to get it fixed. They diagnosed the check engine light and quoted me that it was all part of the recall and that there would be no charge. I signed the paperwork, and my service advisor joey said that due to the service department's backlog, the car wouldn't be ready until tuesday 6/4 in the evening. They didn't give me a loaner vehicle, so I had to call my mom to pick me up. Later that afternoon, I got a call from my service advisor saying that the car wouldn't be ready until friday, 6/7. On wednesday 6/5, I received a message from my service advisor saying that my EGR cooler was faulty and was replaced free of charge, but that the part that tripped the light, the EGR valve, wasn't covered under the recall and that we woul

While driving the vehicle at freeway speed it suddenly and unexpectedly lost power causing me to have to take action to cross lanes of traffic to the shoulder. The dealer replaced the fuel rail and additional components however this did not prevent rerepeated recurrence of the issue. I am concerned that if the issue is not resolved it will lead to a dangerous and unsafe situation. This is a recurring issue even though the BMW repaired it. Car displays drivetrain malfunction message and check engine light.

When I first heard about the recall for the EGR cooler, I checked BMW's website and it said that the remedy was available. I took my car to the dealer, only to have them say parts weren't ready. I got a "drivetrain malfunction" error when I was driving to school a few months ago. After I got out of school, I was driving home when the check engine light came on. I took the car to my mechanic who diagnosed the problem as the EGR cooler recall. He reset the code and sent me on my way. A few weeks later, the same thing happened again. My mechanic reset the code and sent me on my way again. I checked BMW's website again and they said parts were ready. I took my car into the dealer again, and they told me that parts weren't ready. Just today, I got another "drivetrain malfunction"

The high pressure fuel pump failed i see there are recalls for 2014-2018 similar bmw with diesel engine and mine is not included with recall although it clearly has the faulty part. The car will no longer start and I am being quoted $18,000 to repair it which makes the car useless i just got it for $10,000
Recall campaign 18v-755 (EGR). No remedy. It has been almost a year since the recall has come out and BMW has not fixed my car
The fuel tank has some kind of leak, not specified where by the dealership, but I suspect it is on the top of the tank. When I first had this vehicle serviced in 2019, I mentioned a small of diesel. The service advisor told me it was a diesel "feature". Having recently acquired another diesel vehicle that does not smell, I requested a proper check be made this year. I now believe the tank was leaking when I first bought the car in 2018. A cursory search of the Internet shows that this is not an unusual occurrence. I was quoted $3200 for the repair, a ridiculous amount that is probably 25% the market value of a non-leaking car. BMW need to recall all F30 models and replace any leaking tanks at their expense. I am only continuing to use the vehicle as no liquid is in evidence and diesel is
The engine stopped running as I was driving. I was able to coast to a stop but once stopped I was unable to put the vehicle in neutral so it was blocking the roadway. The cause of the vehicle engine to stop was a failure on the high pressure fuel pump. I see there has been a recall issued for this defect but my vehicle was not included. Must be an error on BMWs identification of the vehicles affected.

I was driving on I-91 at normal highway speed and the car suddenly started decelerating on its own with no warning lights or other indication of a problem. I pulled over immediately and shut the engine off and got out to investigate and saw smoke under the hood. I called 911 and the car was visibly on fire by the time they arrived.

I was driving on the freeway at 70mph, the indicated speed limit. It was cloudy, drizzling rain. No large vehicles near me. All of a sudden it sounded like a gunshot went off right above my head. I had the panoramic sunshade closed so I couldn't see anything, but my first thought was that the glass of the panoramic sunroof had shattered. After 5 more minutes of driving (so I could safely get home), I parked the car and stepped out of the door and looked at the roof. Sure enough, the front of the two pieces of glass had shattered right in the middle, about 150 square inches open to the sky, and dozens of pieces of broken glass had fallen in between the interior sunroof shade and where the glass was supposed to be. Thank goodness I had the shade closed, otherwise the pieces of glass would ha
