There has been an open recall since August with no remedy as of now still. My concern is this is an electrical issue and the safety concern for this recall is possible fire.

11/27/2019 ODI #11282705.0

My 2015 BMW 328i x drive left turn signal and left brake have malfunctioned since I bought the car. The same thing happen in my mother's BMW 328 series as well and a recall was open. There is a open recall on the brake light and turn signals but not for my actual vehicle. I have replaced the bulbs so I know it is something electrical. BMW refuses to fix the problem although it is a known recall! I am very disappointed, and just want my light panel repaired as this is a safety issue by BMW manufacturers not the owner.

My vehicle has a open recall effecting the water pump and electrical issues. Whenever I drive it, the front hood starts to smoke. I notified the main bmw dealer and local bmw service. They stated there is no remedy available yet. This is my only source of transportation to work. Which is half hour away from my house. I explained the situation to the manufacturer. I have only been given the runaround from person to person promising they would return my call and nothing yet. My vehicle is very unsafe to drive .

10/31/2025 ODI #11696839.0

Tire Pressure Monitor failure intermittently reported while driving. The error lights up on the dashboard. Sometimes the TMP resets without my resetting the system. I took the car to the dealer and was told nothing is wrong with the system. The dealer told me to drive the car more frequently. This has happened over the last several years. Driver's door intermittently fails to lock and/or will not open (intermittently) using the interior door latch handle mechanism. The door will unlock using the electronic locking and unlocking switch/button located on the center of the dashboard. The problem would be exiting the vehicle in an emergency without electrical systems functioning. This has happened starting in the first year of purchase - 2017 continuing through 2025.

11/13/2021 ODI #11440315.0

Passenger side door lock stopped working at the mileage of 71,269. The door lock tab is in down position while door is unlocked. One can open the door while the car is unlocked. Security alarm does not get kicked in. I originally reported the problem of locks sticking when lock/unlock the car at the mileage of 45775 (under warranty). Dealer said that although they are sticking but still work. They are now charging $839 to have one replaced. My online research shows that this problem is very prevalent. It becomes a safety issue when one can break in the car without setting off alarm.

- As I was driving down the road, my sunroof exploded. There was a large popping sound like the release of pressurized air, and glass began falling down. I had the visor closed so it was able to catch most of it. When I was able to pull over, There was a large hole, nearly the size of the sunroof. The surrounding glass that remained was shattered. - My safety was in danger from the falling glass, and the distraction while driving down an interstate. - I cannot find any delaer or recall that can help me, although it seems to be a common problem. - It has been inspected by my insurace company. - There were no warnings.

While attempting to pass at approx 50 MPH on a two lane mountain highway, the car suddenly lost power, warning lights and buzzer sounded. The message on screen reported 'drivetrain malfunction, drive moderately'. The car continued to operate, vibrating badly whenever I gave it gas. We limped home, shut it off. Two hours later I restarted it and all the error warnings disappeared and the car is running normally again.

On BMW there is a consistent problem with the oil filter housing gasket leaking oil which runs down and gets on the V-belt causing slipping that affects power steering. It is common problem for the emergency brake plastic clip to brake and cause the emergency brake cable that runs above the drive shaft to scrape the driveshaft, causing the cable to wear out and cause premature failure of the emergency brake.
