When driving home from work one day driving at low speed (Below 15mph) the brake pedal would not go down it seemed like no matter how hard I pushed the brake pedal would not move much. This caused me to run a stop sign once the truck slowed down enough and brakes were literally being pressed as hard as possible you could hear the front brakes grinding really bad and the truck still did not want to stop. I had to call a wrecker service to tow my truck to a local mechanic shop. Upon further investigation and 625 dollars later it was determined the vacuum pump failed. After replacing the pump no further issues so far.
If I am at a stop and creep up and push the brake pedal, it gets solid and fails to stop the vehicle!
Tl* the contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet silverado 1500. When the contact attempted to change the tires, the park assist brakes did not work to keep the vehicle in place. There was no warning indicator illuminated. The dealer was not called. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and stated that there was no recall. The failure was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 56,000.
Received an alert around 63,500 miles "alert: service break assist." dealership service advisor notified me that problem was "brake master cylinder leaking into vacuum boster. Both need to be replaced." cost $1172.61. Break basically wouldn't work properly when pressed. This should not happen so early. I've only had truck for two years. Chevrolet needs to fix this. This could have caused an injury to myself or my family.
I was backing out of an inclined driveway and when I applied the brakes, I had a hard brake pedal situation and I was not able to stop the truck until it rolled into the street. Thank goodness no car was behind me or coming down the street. I parked the vehicle and will not drive until I get to the dealer to look at. I checked the brake fluid reservoir and it was fill to appropriate level. Prior to this, 5 or 6 times, while driving, my stability control and ABS light came on but went off. Also, now that I think about it, those lights came on when the road was really pitched to one side or when I pulled into a elevated parking space.

Transmission shudder and hits hard at times.
I am getting a lot of clunking in a transmission when it's up shifting and down shifting. On the road under 55 MPH. Idle surges when it's switching gears. When it goes into v4 mode at any speed it starts to shudder and vibrate to the point and you can feel it in the gas pedal and steering wheel and a little bit in the seat. And now its making a rubbing noise.
The transmission has failed in less than 150,000 miles. I was driving in traffic and lost gears. I stopped and tried to get back going and I was stuck being a traffic hazard to the other motorist. I talked to a local transmission shop and he stated that the 2014-2016 Silverados are known for transmission problems even when they were new. He’s rebuilt hundreds of them and Chevrolet should have recalled and fixed them. There were no warning lights or anything through the truck.

I was driving down the highway on a typical winter day in michigan. The rear defroster was on to melt some snow/ice on the rear window. After being quiet/normal, suddenly a loud hissing/sizzling sound was coming from the rear window defroster, lasted less than a minute before I was smelling something burning. The defroster circuit then fried in a large puff of smoke with a substantial "pop" sound. After a brief delay of just a few seconds, the rear window glass exploded/shattered. This is after a known recall was issued by gm for this very issue. I had the issue addressed at my local Chevrolet dealership in august. In their service report, it said "inspected rear sliding window terminals and covers for damage. Install revised terminal cover. Also install new design buss bar covers. Ok no
I was on a city road driving at 45 MPH about 5 minutes after I used the factory remote start. Smoke started pouring from behind the rear seat and then one of the back windows shattered. This is a widely reported issue and there should be a recall for it.
Activated remote start on vehicle. As I got into vehicle, my passenger noticed a burning smell and then saw thick smoke coming from rear window. I turned off the rear defroster and the smoke started to dissipate. My rear window then shattered. Gm recalled 159,000 vehicles in canada due to what seems like the same issue with rear defrosters. My truck was purchased in the united states.

First and foremost, I'd like to say that I've been completely satisfied with my vehicle up until recently. A little of three years ago, I decided to give up my Dodge and switch over to Chevy. I liked what they had to offer in the 2015 silverado. Long story short, a few months out of warranty, my ac stopped blowing cold air all of a sudden. I immediately took the truck in to the dealer to have it diagnosed and found out that my condenser had a leak. I thought that this was odd due to the fact that I barely drive the truck, literally. It only has about 28,600miles on it in about 40 months. With that said, I proceeded to do a little research. My findings were that this has been an all to common issue with these trucks since the 2014 design. Is there anyway to get someone within gm to t
It would roll even with the foot on the brake at low speeds faulty air pump had to get air pump, tube, air pump belt, alternator belt, air condition belt that cost me $700.

GM active fuel management has caused multiple collapsed lifters, bent pushrods and camshaft damage on 2 separate occasions costing thousands of dollars in repairs shortly after the factory warranty ended. 2015 Chevrolet Silverado with ecotec 5.3 liter engine.
Afm activated ,lifter failure occurred. Engine CEL blinks erratic engine behavior sudden loss of power and braking. Transmission starts shifting in and out of gears high low, severe bucking, high engine revving, cylinder misfire. Hard to stop very slow acceleration due to transmission in wrong gear and loss of power due to collapsed lifter. This is a major problem that gm is well aware of my 2007 monte carlo had same issue 8 years later the problem still exists. The vehicle is still under warranty and im sure they will cover the lifter all lifters should be replaced. And afm should be disabled.
