2015 Chevrolet Tahoe owner complaints

The trailer brake system alert is going off twice in a row every 45 seconds to one minute. The chiming is highly distracting while driving and seems to be a wiring issue.

When applying the brakes my car doesn't stop 100% of the time. 1 time during highway slow moving traffic, 3 times backing out of my driveway (flat surface), 4 times when on incline/decline of road. When applying brakes, horrible chattering vibration comes from left front tire area, chatter vibration is felt in brake pedal. No matter how hard I apply the brake the car keeps going - it will finally stop, but I almost hit the car in front of me at the one highway occurrence, 2 times car finally stopped just before going over edge of property when pulling forward & backward to turn around in tight area. In each instance I am moving at a very slow speed. I contacted dealership, they told me I wasn't the only one calling about this happening but since I'm over 36,000 warranty they will charge

After a 7 hour road trip and returning to local stop and go travel in our hometown, the brakes started vibrating and the brake pedal then went hard. It took a severe downward foot thrust to get the vehicle to stop and even then still continued to roll forward a few feet. The brakes remained hard thereafter and not safe to drive- unable to brake at that point. Luckily we were not in traffic at that time or still on our road trip otherwise I am sure there would have been a serious wreck or fatality. Dealership supposedly took care of the recall repair for the vacuum pump previously but apparently their action was not sufficient. What am I supposed to do about it now? Thank you.

When applying brake at low speeds (under 5 MPH) the vehicle continues to roll with brake pressed all the way to floor. Eventually stops but this happens in drive and reverse...scary when parking and another car or other object is in front of you. No noise or dash display indicator.

Brake assist problems. When stopping/slow braking while being in heavy traffic, or drive thru, the brakes will vibrate and will not come to a complete stop without it rolling, almost into another vehicle. The brake petal will be stiff and the vehicle will continue to roll. This happens a lot, but seems to only happen during stop/start, bumper to bumper situations.

Came home and could smell gas. Had just filled up so ignored it. Next day, just pulling into driveway, husband could see gas pouring out the bottom below the drivers seat area.. fuel line split. Had to have it towed to dealership and paid nearly a grand to get that repaired. Warranty wouldn’t cover it..

Vehicle cranked longer than usual, noticed slight smell of fuel. After arriving home noticed fuel smell was very strong and a puddle of raw fuel under vehicle. Fuel line appears to have rubbed/vibrated against the frame of the vehicle causing the line to rupture. Date of incident 12-26-2025. No MIL or warning messages were present. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone other than myself for this incident. I feel this issue could have resulted in serious injury or death of my entire family and possibly others on the road. The vehicle has not been modified in anyway and is in OEM configuration. We will have to have the vehicle repaired but will document as best we can. I would like to add that after a quick internet search I found this to be a common issue so I was amazed there was

Trailer brake service message constantly dinging and you can’t dismiss the message. Dealership replaced a fuse and thought they fixed it and by the next day the message was back and dinging non stop. It is so distracting it’s almost unsafe to drive. Can’t see my speed or anything on my dash because the message will not go away and the dinging noise is unbearable.

High pressure fuel line was leaking due to rubbing on he chassis. When I mentioned it was a design flaw as alot of people complained the service manager said it was because something was chewing on the plastic but as you see in the pics. That is not the case and even the service man said it was not chewed on.

Both tail lights have stopped working at the same time. Not a fuse, it's a malfunction within the light itself.

Vehicles dome lights flash when applying breaks..this also happens when you use your turning signals.. This is a hazard.

Our tahoe has had an issue over the past 9 months. The engine unexpectedly stalls. This has happened twice while pulling out on to a busy highway. Very frightening. We first took this to the dealer on 8/15/17. They spent hours trying to diagnose and found nothing. The stalling continued to happen occasionally. Early december the stalling occurred while pulling in to our garage. We lost all power momentarily and it would not restart this time. I disconnected the negative battery cable and then reconnected it and everything worked fine again. We took it back to the dealer on 12/8/17. Vehicle equipped with i03 infotainment system. System has gone blank twice. Without system, safety hazard warnings are inoperable. There is a recall bulletin but dealer is refusing to assist.

All interior lights that consist of, front dome lights, both rear reading light fixtures that are dual lights that have left and right side lamps flash for a split second each time the left turn signal is used or each time you step on the brake pedal. Very distracting during evening or night time driving. This happens weather the vehicle is stopped stationary or driving.

Dome lights keep flickering. Not specific to any light. All of them flash sporadically. Looks like a camera flash at night. It is beyond distracting at night and the dealership could not find what is causing it to happen. It is making driving at night dangerous because it is distracting because it can sometimes flash non stop like a strobe light.

My vehicle is having a problem much like that from recall number 14743 product safety - loss of electric power steering (eps). On several occasions the vehicle has lost power steering and the dealership is telling me that my SUV is not covered under this warranty. I feel that the same safety concerns posed with recall 14743 apply in this situation with mine and I do not feel they are taking it seriously. Also when this occurred I was on the highway the first time, the second time I was turning onto the street I live on, and most recently I was in the parking lot at target with my kids in the car with me. This last time I was actually about to turn into a parking spot when I lost power to the steering.

At 123,000 miles the torque converter failed and caused a cascading failure through the transmission leaving me stranded in traffic. Vehicle towed to Phoenix Transmission in Weatherford. 5k later I have a new UPGRADED transmission with a warranty. Owner says they get about one a month in with the same issue.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 Chevrolet tahoe. The contact stated that there was a coolant leak between the transmission and the cooling lines. The dealer diagnosed that the coolant lines and hoses through the transmission needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 50,000.
