2015 Chevrolet Trax owner complaints

Vehicle rolls backward in drive causing near collision. I was operating the vehicle on several occasions on a slight incline and the gear selector in drive, the vehicle shifts to neutral causing the vehicle to roll backward when the brake is released and on 2 occasions causing a near roll back rear to front collision.

While I was driving my 2015 Chevy trax, the transmission got stuck in third gear. I switched to manual and it still wouldn't move out of third gear. In order to get it off the road, I had to drive it to a safe place. Sitting at a red light in drive, I took my foot off the break and the car didn't inch forward like normal. The traction control light was on so was the service engine soon light. There is only 80,000 miles on the car. The recommended mileage to service is 100,000 miles on this vehicle.

The car is spuddering when I drive and, its really unsafe. When I try to drive it basically skips when I try to drive.

My car is literally spuddering technically skipping then, jerking back. It's a safety hazard already almost hit a couple cars because, its jerking I need help trying to get my car changed out. This is a huge defect on the car. Please helpp

Noticed coolant reservoir was empty. Put it in the shop and it is the turbo that Chevy manufactures with the engine. It is leaking. The vehicle is only a 2015 with 34,000 miles, the turbo should not be leaking already. It does need to be replaced. I have gotten all the maintenance done.

I have been sent a pretty egregious recall by gm. I made an appointment with the dealer I purchased the car from. Dealership told me they had to order the part. It's been a month. When I went to the dealership, they said the part was not in. Meanwhile, my friend had her recall fixed there. This is regarding a joint in one or both front lower control arms that can separate your tires from the vehicle. Pretty scary, but I am getting nowhere with the Chevrolet people. I call every day. How can you help me ?

My radio turns up and changes by itself . It’s leaking oil an I’ve replaced everything a can’t figure it out , if anything it’s the engine it just won’t make sense . I dumped so much money into it already

The car jumped the curb when I was making a ledr hand turn. Took it for inspection recently and it failed due to faulty control arms.the front end of the car bounces and rides rough when it hits a bump

I have had multiple engine problems with my trax. For starters, shortly after I bought it in 2021 I had to have the radiator replaced, then in Aug or Sept 2022 I had to have the coil pack replaced, the in Oct 2022 the turbo needed to be replaced. Exactly 1 year after replacing the turbo, I had to replace it again in Oct 2023. Now I'm being told that these cars are having problems with Piston rings going out. After repleacing the turbo once again, my car was still acting up. I took it back to the mechanic and they told me my piston rings are shot. Due to this issue, I now need a new motor. I've been told by 3 different Automotive shops that they have replaced several engine in the past 5 months due to the Piston rings and turbo going out in them. My car is a sitting duck. Relay system- truck relay went out multiple times, unable to open trunk. When replaced caused all relays including (airbag, headlights, dash board, and trunk relays) to no longer work. Have had mechanic reprogram system but no longer works.

The contact was not experiencing any failures with any of the seat belts until the vehicle was taken to the dealer and repaired per NHTSA campaign number: 16v651000 (seat belts). Weeks later, the front passenger side seat belt failed to buckle. The contact had to force the buckle to secure and get the seat belt warning indicator to go off. While driving in the highway vehicle lost power and gray smoke came out off the exhaust, it was hard to accelerate and TCS warning light and check engine light popped up. TCS warning light extinguished but check engine light still on. Cars behind me could have hit me from behind, because it was a sudden loss of speed, it made other drivers switch lanes creating the risk of crashing others or myself. I have taken the car to a mechanics and some say it’s the turbo and others say they don’t know what it can be and can’t really help me.
