Long block repair due to coolant instrusion which is a known issue with this ford edge model. Dealership is quoting me $8468.16 to replace. Per their diagnosis they found coolant intrusion in cylinder 1 combustion chamber. TSB states replace long block assembly and retest. I was driving the car and it started feeling like it was skipping. I immediately returned home as I had just left the house and parked it. When I parked the check engine light came on. My husband noticed blowback in the oil and we called a tow truck driver to tow the vehicle to the dealership.

My 2015 Ford Edge was in my garage. I opened the garage door to leave and started the vehicle. It said my hatchback was open . I got out to shut it and left the driver door open. Upon closing the hatch my vehicle began rolling backwards. I was hit in the leg and shoulder while getting out of the way of the car. I also sustained cuts on my hand from the open car door. We have a steep approach to our garage and live on an acreage with timber. The vehicle rolled down the approach to the garage and into and through the timber before it hit a tree big enough to stop it. At the body shop the repairman said he moved the car and put it in park and got out but the car then began rolling back on him as well. He was able to get in and stop it. Insurance has declared the car a total loss. I saw some

While driving my car I started to notice a rattling noise from underneath the vehicle. After about a week, I took the car to my local mechanic and he indicated that my car needed a new water pump, which he repaired. This did not fix the rattling noise and he informed me that my car most likely had a cracked flexplate. Upon contacting Ford customer experience, they indicated that my car would have to be checked by an authorized Ford dealer to verify this issue. It was verfied by the dealer and they have quoted me a repair bill of $3,800 and that is only if the engine is not bad due to the cracked flexplate issue. Ford has not offered any assurance that this will not recur or assistance with the obvious manufacturers defect.

I started seeing water on the drivers side floor of the car in november 2017 after about a week of rain and after the car was sitting in my driveway for a couple of days. There was about an inch of water on the floor and water shooting out of the vent under the drivers seat when the heat is turned on. All of the windows on the inside of the car are so wet & foggged up they just drip. After googling 2015 Ford edge water leaks about 20 + articles popped about Ford issuing a stop sale on some 2015 Ford edge models made before april 28th 2015 for water leaks that cause corrosion, molding, and electrical problems. My car was made april 8 2015. I talked to Ford and since it wasnt an actual recall they wont address it. I talked to the dealership who then told me since it out of warranty & there w
