While driving between 50 and 60 mph the steering wheel begins to violently shake until you slow below 50 MPH. This is known as the Death Wobble.

12/26/2019 20,780 mi ODI #11291215.0

While driving on the freeway at approximately 60-70 MPH I drove across a bridge transition point when out of the blue my truck began to wobble excessively to the point I had to merge to my right and slow down to under 40 MPH to get the wobble to stop. Cars behind could see I was in some sort of trouble and they would not pass me. Once the wobble stopped I proceeded to merge back onto the freeway and once again the wobble started as soon as I passed over the bridge transition. Again I applied my brakes and moved over to the right for my safety as well as others. The mileage on my truck at that time was 20,780 miles. I took the truck to my Ford dealer and explained the situation to them. They inspected the truck and replaced the steering damper assembly. The problem did go away until

Twice driving on freeways doing about 70mph the entire truck began to shake/vibrate violently. The steering wheel shakes, and the entire cab shakes like an earthquake. I had to slow down to about 40mph to get it to stop shaking.

While driving down the interstate under normal conditions, the truck unexpectedly starts what is called the "death wobble". The steering wheel and the truck starts to shake uncontrollably, and the only solution to fix the problem is come to a very slow speed or a dead stop. This is very unsafe, especially when it happens on a major interstate. There are a ton of complaints out there regarding this matter, and several videos out there regarding this matter. Ford needs to issue a recall on this matter, as it is extremely unsafe, and someone will be injured or die because of this. My truck is pampered, and only has 55k on it, so this isn't because of abuse.

Starts a bad wobble and shake with no warning at highway speed and feels like it is going to come off of the road. You have to slow to below 30mph for it to stop.

12/16/2019 150,000 mi ODI #11289289.0

While driving at highway speeds and encountering road irregularities, truck enters into "death wobble" condition whereby truck shakes violently until speed is reduced to <30 MPH. Suspension was rebuilt 3 months ago by Ford dealer and condition has returned. In these situations the vehicle is extremely difficult to control and could easily result in total loss of control of the vehicle at speeds of 60 MPH and greater.

I recently purchased a 2015 f250 super duty. It was a clean title no accidents. Shortly after purchasing the truck I was driving between 43 -55 MPH on a county road when my steering wheel and in fact the entire truck started shaking so violently I was having trouble maintaining control. I managed to slow down quickly and it stopped. After several more occurrences all at the same speeds I took my truck to a specialty wheel and alignment shop and paid nearly 1,000 dollars to have this fixed. After new bushings, new tires, new shocks, new steering and new alignment it abated for 3 months. It is now back and as scary as ever. I had a 2004 f250 super duty and never had this kind of issue. I have now learned this is a known problem that Ford will not acknowledge or even recall. I may ha

A common, but irregular violent shaking of the steering after I go over a bump in the road of come off an overpass. Sometimes it happens once in a week, sometimes it will happen 2 times in 2 miles. The problem doesn't occur under 45 MPH. It is so dangerous that I don't want anyone driving my truck except me, in case this happens again. Very scary. Very dangerous.

Death wobble. I've replaced the whole front end, I've tried out new tires, had the alignment done and I'm still getting death wobble. It has caused myself and my girlfriend to almost lose our lives on several occasions. It's a safety hazard and will cause someone to lose their life one day.

Going down the freeway, I ran over a couple of pot holes. The truck began to vibrate and the vibration got so bad I thought I was going to lose control. I was able to slow down and pull off the freeway causing the vibration to disappear, and returned to the freeway without further incident. This is the 6th or 7th time the rattle was felt, although this incident was worse than any other event.

Lethal death wobble , could have easily crashed on the interstate without having both hands on the wheel. This is insane, had the front track bar and front steering stabilizer replaced, still no fix.

At highway speeds if you hit a bump the front end goes into a wobble that translates to the steering wheel. If you slow down the problem stops .This has happened to me twice in the last 3 weeks. Incredibly dangerous especially in a 10,000 lb truck at 70 mph, and if you were towing something it could be catastrophic. I went online and found hundreds of people complaing about the exact same problem with their 2005 - 2019 F250 and F350's. Does someone need to get killed before Ford is forced to address the issue ????

My truck has the death wobble on the front end. Hit a hole yesterday going 70mph and almost caused a wreck. Ford needs to take care of this.
