The "dry" clutch went out as I was driving uphill, reducing my movement to a jerking, stuttering motion that just barely allowed me to drive to dealership. This clutch failure follows months of stuttering, jerking at low speeds as if the car would stall. Taking the car for regular maintenance found "nothing wrong." this clutch had already been replaced once at only 26,700 miles .focus had 68,000 miles when it want bad again. Dealership reports seeing many problems with this "dry" clutch. Ford will not recognize danger associated with it.
2015 Ford focus dual clutch powertrain transmission shutters and sputters upon takeoff, revs up at very low speeds. Doesnt want to accelerate right away. I bought the car with 55000 miles on it and has been an issue since. Now its going to cost 1500 dollars to fix as my personal warranty nor Ford will cover the clutch replacement, even though this is an ongoing problem in this vehicle!
I was driving on a major road at speeds of 50mph when car lost all power to the wheels and transmission slipped. I was leaving a mall parking lot and accelerating when the car jerked dangerously and stopped accelerating causing me to loose speed and control of the vehicle. Probable cause: transmission failure or disconnect.
The contact owns a 2015 Ford Focus. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle briefly hesitated before losing motive power and was unable to accelerate above 40 MPH. The vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the dual-clutch. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V169000 (Power Train); but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 105,000.
There was a recall for the fuel purge valve getting stuck and not allowing my car to stay on after turning my car on it will run for 5 to 10 seconds before it stalls due to loss of fuel. I took my car to Ford dealership and they said they did not have the part to replace it, but they took my car in, once I got my car the very same day back. It did it again the next morning. I have tried fuel cleaners to resolve the problem but it still persists, it stalled on me while driving on this past monday, and now when I try to search for the recall for information it looks like it was taken off from their website. The issue is not fixed and they do not have the part? As a consumer what can we do to fix a defect from manufacturing. My car is a 2015 Ford focus with 75k miles and there was issues with
Transmission has been jerking and shifts hard into gears. A messaged popped up as well that the transmission was running on hot. Transmission control module was recently replaced by a ford dealership but problem still persist.

I have had this car for almost 2 years. Almost everyday when I drive the car, it stall, slipped or doesn't want to go at take off. There has been many time where I press the gas to go while in drive and it won't go and acts like it's in neutral. I have almost gotten in car accidents because of this problem. The transmission is horrible. It's the dual-clutch transmission. They have even sent out a letter stating that it's the transmission and if you have had it services 3 or more times, you can get cash or replacement car. I don't have the money to go get it checked out 3 times and I also don't really need to because I already know the problem. This is very dangerous and can cause a major accident.
The car has a hard time accelerating and almost almost doesnt sometimes. The engine was silent but now the engine seems kind of loud when starting up. The car was in motion on the street.
I am in possession of Recall18S32/NHTSA recall18V-735 notice that has not been repaired but it is not showing up on my VIN and Model lookup.
Parked the car, turned motor off, smelled smoke, release inside hood, more smoke coming from under hood, could not open hood up,flames started shooting out, called 911 who called fire department, several small explosions before fire department, whole front car engulfed in flames. Vehicle just turned 21000 miles, h.ad not been driven for a car since I had 2 surgeries for fractured feet and just started driving several weeks ago. Did damage to my sons motor home and driveway. Vehicle had been garage kept since new and no maintenance performed on vehicle other than 1 recall which dealer took care of it in 2/2020. Luckly no one hurt. Vehicle was stationary and just shut off when incident occurred. Can get photos from my daughter-in-law as I didn't take any at the time. Vehicle has been dec

Was driving the vehicle and saw that the vehicle was losing coolant change the coolant reservoir and the replaced both of the heater hose, all of a sudden it was still losing coolant but I was always topping it out with coolant. Until the day that it gave out
At 116,500 miles, the oil pump failed on my Ford Focus. This was verified by an auto repair shop. The car has the Ford ecoboost 1.0 engine. Ford has a recall on this engine with a build date of March 24, 2015 to May 4, 2018. My car was built on Aug 4, 2015 within the range of the recall. The recall states that cars with automatic transmission are included. My car has a manual 6 speed. I don't believe that the transmission has anything to do with the oil pump failure. The car "check engine" and "check oil" lights came on and there were multiple instances where the car stalled and I became stranded, often on busy roads. It has been well documented on the internet that Ford has had issues with this engine. I am not planning on repairing this car as the shop explained it probably will be
My 2015 ford focus has continually stopped in traffic causing a safety risk to other drivers and myself. I've taken it in for recalls and repairs but the problem still exists. The front rail hp switch was replaced and the hp fuel pump was replaced too. I'm afraid for people and my life. I have googled the problem and I see thousands of people have the same problem and can't get it fixed without dumping thousands of dollars into it. This has gone too far. I need help. Please. I'm old and not rich.

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Focus. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, the power steering assist failed, and the steering wheel locked up. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and diagnosed with electric power steering module failure. The electric power steering module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired and remained at the dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 52,000.
I was driving on the freeway approaching a curve at about 45mph when I first experienced the wheel locking up. As I was trying to cut the wheel to the right, the steering wouldn't allow me to turn any further. Upon noticing this I immediately hit my breaks to avoid slamming into the median and hit the hazards lights to avoid have a rear end collision with the many cars driving behind me. Extremely terrifying experience and thankfully I avoided collision by acting fast, however someone else may not be as quick to avoid a potentially fatal event. Someone could have died, I could have died by losing the ability to control my steering. I thank god that total steering loss didn't happen while I was doing 60mph, I can only imagine how differently this could've ended. No lights or warnings popped

There is extreme distortion of the image on the inside manual (non-electronic) rear-view mirror when the mirror is set to the "night" position. The mirrors are ok when set to the "day" position. I have observed this defect in the mirror of my personal Ford focus 2015, and in other Ford vehicles I have examined on Ford dealer lots. When set to the night position, any movement of the driver's head relative to the mirror causes severe distortion of the image whether the movement is in the vertical or horizontal plane (however, movement in the horizontal plane appears to cause worse distortion than in the vertical). This distortion is most disconcerting to folks who drive at night, and could cause the driver to perceive that another vehicle is closer/farther behind than it actually is, or

Vehicle has intermittent starting problems. Inside dash lights flash on and off. Cannot have inside dome light on (the light that comes on when doors open) or it drains the battery. Settings for radio/heater/clock/etc. Change on their own. Nothing ever stays set. I have taken it in to the dealership a couple times now and they can never find anything. They kept it for 3 days the last time. This has been happening since I bought it. The vehicle is stationary when I have the starting problem. Sometimes the car will start in a few minutes, sometimes longer. The other problems with inside lights and dashboard happen when the car is in motion. This happens on various days and times.
