Vehicle: 2015 Hyundai Genesis sedan (3.8L) Issue Type: Exterior Lighting / Electrical System Description of the Problem: I am reporting an intermittent electrical failure affecting the rear lighting and backup safety systems on my 2015 Hyundai Genesis. The vehicle’s reverse lights, tail lights, and backup camera intermittently fail and flicker, especially when the trunk is opened or moved. This behavior has worsened over time. The failure appears to be related to wiring in the trunk area, as opening or closing the trunk causes the lights and camera to flicker or stop functioning. This issue affects multiple systems simultaneously, including: •Reverse (backup) lights •Tail lights •Backup camera License plate lighting The reverse lights and backup camera sometimes do not f

Blind spot warning system is not operating. After having it checked and fixed, the warning is back after threw days. Looks like this is a well known issue that Hyundai does not want to repair or make better. After driving from a road trip on the interstate/highway, once I arrived to my destination, the bsd warning was displayed. No damage, and no collision.

My vehicle showed solid check engine light while I was on 101 freeway and after exiting to city road I could park and read the error code "p0880 power input to TCM", I reported the issue to Hyundai dealer and they diagnosed the issue as internal TCM defect. Dealer replaced the TCM but that couldn't fix the problem. And they just released the car as is. After a short while my car had become unable to reverse, and when set the gear to reverse, my car moves forward to make a very life threatening. I called Hyundai corporate office but they didn't help. Now, I cannot drive my car because it is unsafe and because because I'm not a mechanic to diagnose the problem while the dealer and the corporate don't help. I found out that the model of my car is a subject to recall for gear problem which is

The headlights, whether in auto-mode or on-mode, will randomly turn off by themselves for a couple seconds, then cycle quickly back on and off, before turning back on after a few seconds. Within a 30min drive this typically will happen at least once. It is speed independent; it will occur at highway speeds, during rest at a stop light, driving through a parking lot, through dark twisting forest roads, etc., etc. Sometimes, although not always, operating the turn signal will initiate the issue. As documented by video, when in auto-mode and the situation occurs, the "light-mode" dash display will quickly alternate between off and auto as the lights themselves cycle off and on. It is extremely dangerous for a driver and also surrounding vehicles, as all exterior lighting is lost and the vehic

When my headlights are in the "auto" position and I engage my turn signals my headlights will flicker and the lcd screen on my dash switches between "auto" and "drl off" which causes my lights to turn off for a couple seconds. This usually happens when I'm in motion and when the turning stalk is engaged, either fully or semi, or even sometimes when I just push up against the stalk without actually engaging the turn signal. This does not happen ever time, but it has happened on multiple occasions.

I just purchased a used 2015 Genesis 3.8 Sedan and the BSD warning system intermittently comes on after driving at highway speed for less than an hour. It is unable to be reset and requires you to turn off the vehicle for the speed and proper indicators on the dash to be functional. This is a clearly a known manufacturer defect with all the threads being posted about the problem. The dealer is unable to replicate the problem, it requires highway driving of 30 minutes to an hour and has happened with the cruise set. It is not weather related, the car is pristine and clean and does not come on or is triggered by other vehicles. Due to not being able to see your status and other information on the dash until you pull off the road to turn the vehicle off this poses a serious safety threat

2015 Genesis 11 months old with 6,100 miles. The sunroof weather seal is defective and separating from the glass. Dealer and factory acknowledge the defect ($3,500 cost to repair) but refused to buy back the car. This is my 4th Genesis: the 2nd and 3rd cars were defective, the 1st was sold to me without features I wanted and was told were in the car I first bought. My issue with this defect is the repair process is something field technicians could not accomplish on the 3rd Genesis which involved removal of most interior trim above the dash level and headliner. Several attempts at repair/reassembly were undertaken and then wa state lemon laws kicked in. The intended repair to my current and 4th Genesis will be a further disassembly of the upper portion of the interior trim of the vehicle a

I took my car to dealer due to excessive noise in front of car when driving. I thought it was a wheel bearing noise. Deal,er says noise is due to tire wear. Car only has 40,700 miles and there was a recall at around 12,000 miles when Hyundai replaced all four tires with michelin tires "due to complaints of excessive road noise". My car has been regularly serviced at Hyundai dealers. I told the dealer that it was impossible for michelin tires to wear out in less than 28,000 miles. I believe the car has a suspension design problem. The dealer refused to do anything about it. I called the Hyundai factory line (dealer gave me phone number). Factory rep told me I would be contacted within a week by factory regional manager. I have not been contacted yet. I believe the car has a suspe

Hyundai is telling me the problem with tire tread wear is a problem with the tire manufacturer. The tire manufacturer is telling me the problem is with a design of the 2015 Genesis sedans suspension. Inside rear tire wear is extreme, and had I not complained about vibration and cabin sound, ultimately seeking professional help in seeing the wear at a tire company, we might have very easily lost our lives. Look at 2015 Hyundai Genesis blowouts / saudi arabia. Many, many posts on-line about this tire wear happening here in the u.s. Our michelin tires are warranted to 45 k miles, we were advised by our cars dealer (Hyundai of evansville) to replace and align the 4 wheels, at a large cost, this is at 22,914 miles ! Raben tire, a michelin dealer, here in evansville tells me the car may very wel
