My vehicle has been studdering while in drive at various speeds. It's heavily stalls before taking off after a stop. I want sure if I moved to manual transmission until it continued to do it for a 45 min drive from 0-65 in speed. It's had the hesitation since I got it and thought it was because of the smaller v6 when I was coming from an Infiniti m37. I checked fluids and no alert or light on indicating.

While driving, the Jeep will turn off automatically due to the engine buring too much oil. It causes a safety concern when the car automatically stops and causes other cars to swirve or to hit the car. I have almost been hit multiple times because of this. There is no warning to it and no oil light to tell me the engine is low of oil. It also has several other warnings that come on for no reason. The service shifter light will come on and stop the car from going into park, again causing the car and passengers to be in danger. This has happened several times while the car was in motion, either going fast or slow. It comes without warning and when I call about it, they say nothing is wrong. This is a safety hazard to all who drive this car and cars like it

On several occasions, I have been driving the vehicle when it suddenly shifted gears and lurched forward unexpectedly. This action is so powerful it feels like another car has hit me from behind. This was a transmission failure and is available for inspection. Both myself and my family members have suffered whiplash-like neck injuries from these repeated incidents. The automobile puts us at risk of colliding with another vehicle, shifting out of gear, and stopping in the middle of the road or highway while driving. The dealer checked the vehicle, and they could not reproduce the problem. The dealer has inspected the vehicle. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to failure. The problem began in 2020 and has gotten worse over time. Best, [XXX] I

Shifting and jerking problems since we bought it new, dealer always said software upgrade and has done several. Finally the Jeep made loud bang going across intersection of road and car almost hitting us. Jeep is back in garage and dealership says power take off unit needs to be replace. Never own or buy Jeep product.

The gears are locked and the vehicle or the shifter will not move. We started the car to go somewhere and backed it out of the garage, stopped and put the car in park to put the other car in the garage, when we got back in the Jeep the gears, shifter, would not move, nor would the car. We finally got the Jeep in neutral, the car still would not move, it felt like we were pushing a house, but we finally got it back in the garage. Also, the next time we tried to shift the gears while in the garage to show my brother who also owned a Jeep cherokee that had a recall on it. We put the key in and change gears to reverse, but the Jeep would not move, and the gears would not move back to park, so the keys was stuck in the vehicle. We had to force it back to part to get the keys.

Gears are unreasonably difficult to shift when parked on a hill. Transmission slips out of gear. While on the free way at approximately 60 MPH the car loses the ability to deliver power.

Transmission shifts hard. Vehicle will lurch forward when shifting gears. Happens when stopped at a light and press the accelerator or when going slow (coming to speed bumps) and accelerating - vehicle will lurch. Purchased the vehicle (brand new) in october of 2015 and 3 days after purchase, the vehicle shut down at a stop light and transmission light came on. I restarted vehicle and had to "limp" it to my office where it was towed (30 miles) to the dealership. The rpms will race when shifting to another gear. One year after purchase, the transmission light came on again, the transmission was shifting hard, was able to limp it to the dealership. Dealer has completed flashes to the computer of the transmission. It's been 2 months since the last time I took it in for transmission and it's s

While braking at 24 miles per hour the car abruptly downshifts and causes the vehicle to accelerate. I have noticed the longer I drive the vehicle, it will happen while I am slowing down at higher speeds at well. I have taken the Jeep to the dealership and they have flashed and updated my transmission but they said it was fixed but it was not. It is acting up more than it was before. It is incredibly dangerous to drive this car especially when trying to brake around a curve because it will speed up by itself. *tr

Transmission is faulty. Numerous difficult shifting issues, particularly after stopping and restarting. The vehicle has been taken back at least three times for reprogramming but the condition still exists.

Since new, we have had problems with the transmission hesitating and lurching. From a stop, or from a slow speed such as when coming out of turning a corner, the transmission will hesitate to "hook up", as though it is slipping, then suddenly throw you forward as it "hooks up / catches". It is very dangerous at an intersection when you may be trying to get through the intersection as cross-traffic is coming, and your car will not move at the speed you need it to, then suddenly it will lurch forward. At other times, the transmission will clunk at 40 MPH as though someone has struck the car from behind. We have had the software flashed by the dealership two or three times. Usually this worked for a short period of time, but the problem always returns. The second transmission issue is

Just purchased 2015 cherokee, when first accelerating it hesitates and seems to not shift correctly and then eventually "kicks in" and jerks hard. Causes major issues while in traffic. Also sounds like its going to shut off when sitting stationary and idling.

9 speed transmission issue. When coming to a stop the vehicle lunges forward and then hesitates when accelerating. Seems to shift gears very rough and is concerning when in traffic. This seems to occur and more noticeable in city traffic with stop and go traffic .just bought this vehicle from a reputable dealer and I am very disappointed that this issue was not brought to my attention. Software update seems to have made the issue worse.

I've had to replace my low beams 10+ times this year. They keep shorting our. Also have to have my engine thermostat replaced even though it's working fine. It's electrical keeps causing my check engine light to come on. And the fix is replacing something that is fully working. And because my check engine light is on I can't makw it through deq to get tags for my car. This is the 3rd (separate) electrical problem I've had with this car and I'm done. Keep should stand up for their product.

I received a recall notice for my Jeep cherokee 2015. It has taken me a while to actually find some time to take my car in for the recall. I called prior to going to the dealer to make an appointment and the guy at service said I could just walk in. I went in today and the same gentleman said I needed an appointment and that they couldn't take it in today because they had a lot of work. That if I wanted, I could leave it there until friday. They don't lend you a car in the time being. I can't leave my car there and miss work. So I guess now I need to wait another week or so to get this fixed when the letter says it is a safety recall and it is important to fix it as soon as possible. It was a bad decision to have purchased this vehicle.

When reaching the top of a hill, and you let off the gas, the car slams into gear extremely hard because the transmission can't adjust.

Dealer accepted an appointment for the recall repair but did not complete the recall repair. Dealer claimed that Jeep corporate would not allow the dealer to maintain an inventory of required parts, in this case a liftgate module. Thus I am required to return to the dealer for a second appointment to have the recall repair finished. I think this is unreasonable. Service manager explained that this is Jeep policy. He is not permitted to order liftgate modules in advance so as to have an inventory. He explained that he is required to order them for each repair, thus requiring the customer to return for a second time to have the repair finished.

Uconnect system and the screen placement is a distraction that causes the driver to lose site of the road and traffic. A relocation and reduced screen size could help alleviate the problem. Once there were laws prohibiting such devises to be visible to the driver while driving???
