Granddaughter driving car, when car starting running erratic. Made it home and I check it and car was knocking and would not run over 30 mph. As I was driving in the fwy I hear noise and exit to check what was wrong. No lights or warning of what the issue might be. Car was being driven and out of nowhere engine seized up without my prior warning lights, sounds, or issues. I took it to an independent reputable shop who confirmed the seizure which they admitted was a known problem with these theta Kia engines.
