Engine failed at 93k miles. Engine burnt off all oil, even though it had engine oil changed 1,000 miles ago. Sensors did not activate to display error engine codes on the dash. Verified by independent mechanic. Kia Dealership said it was owners failure for not keeping oil in engine. Refused to replace engine. Powertrain is not under warranty as second owner.

Diving down the highway and the engine stalled out of nowhere.
My car a kia sedona, 2015, 85000 miles, was inspected by Matthews Kia on 10/7. It was RECOMMENDED that I have spark plugs and coils replaced. I was NOT told of the consequences or the urgency of this repair if I declined this repair. The check engine light was not on and it was running fine! THEY LET ME DRIVE IT HOME WITHOUT ANY WARNINGS. I went to bring it to a mechanic on 11/8 to have a second opinion and have the work done if they agreed with the diagnosis. That is when I was told it was a blown head gasket and the mechanic said there was nothing I did to cause this, I was able to drive it home, but i drove it directly to the dealership. They are supposed to last the lifetime of the car. It is only when I drove it 1 MILE from that mechanic to kia when it started to overheat, and The che
Rod failure, was told there was fuel mixing with the oil and caused the oil to break down and cause complete engine failure while driving down the highway with my kids. Kia will not do anything about it. How can this be right. I know a lot of people with the same issues.
On 9/4/18, while driving on the parkway I noticed my car was sluggish & making a noise upon acceleration. I thought it was my muffler because I didnt have any warning lights illuminated on my dashboard to indicate a major problem. As I exited the parkway, my car stalled & I coasted to the side of the road. I was able to start it a couple more times before it died for good. I had the car towed to the neptune nj Kia where we authorized a $400 partial tear down of the engine which we thought was to diagnose the problem but it was only to take some pictures of the engine & oil filter for the warranty dept. We were then asked to provide maintenance records which we couldn't since my husband did the majority of work & we didn't think to keep receipts being that we'd never been in this situation
Van was well cared for. Engine failure occurred while on interstate, causing immediate high-pitched squealing. Problem with 2015 models seems to be known to Kia, and they told us we'd have to replace the engine entirely. No warnings, messages, or symptoms prior to or following failure. Still turns on but afraid to hurt engine further while driving with the terrible noise. We are crushed that such a good vehicle, having been well taken care of and serviced, should have such a distinct, unavoidable, and irreversible loss. Grateful that we were able to pull over, despite the numerous cars surrounding us, and to be safely towed. Won't trust Kia the same way in the future.

Takata recall sliding doors do not properly close all the time and can pop open while driving. So I have to get out and close the door by hand. This has happend on different occasions since november of 2016. The Kia dealership I went to said they fixed the problem but still had issues after that.
For about 6 wks now while driving specially at night my headlights will randomly flicker off and on, and there have been several times where the automatic headlights just turn off and stay off. It has happened while driving and while parked.
Blinker malfunction. When blinker switch to left turn indicator, it will intermittently flash to the right while vehicle is in motion and stopped. This has numerously times caused people around me to move in wrong direction. It is commonly reported online. Please force recall.

Complete engine failure, knocking like crazy, fuel smell in the oil, The shop said the fuel in the oil broke it down and allowed the motor to fail. We were driving down the highway when it happened with family and kids which was not safe at all. No warning message at all, no check engine light, the shop has inspected and said it’s failed. The kia dealership has said many of the Kia’s have been recalled for engine failure but not ours? But others with the same motor have been.

Rear sliding doors do not fully close and make loud grinding noise. The only way to shut them is to manually push it closed.
Neither of the rear sliding doors will fully close when engaged or activated by using the automatic door closures. You have to physically press the rear of the doors in order for them to engage the locking mechanisms.

Our 2015 Kia second minivan overheated repeatedly in 2020 for unknown reasons resulting in a total engine failure and complete loss of value. After leaving a highway, the minivan overheated, resulting in a blinking engine light. It was quickly parked and later driven to a mechanic, who could not replicate the problem. After a period of operation at normal temperatures, it began to misfire. No warning lights appeared prior to or during these misfires. Nonetheless, we had the starter coils replaced based on a repair code. After another period of normal operation, it again began to misfire and overheated without triggering any warning lights. We drove it immediately to our mechanic, who determined that the head gasket was blown. A Kia dealer to which we towed the car confirmed this a
The engine stopped after driving through a small bump at the park lot (low speed), accompanied by steering wheel locking by itself. Tried to restart the car and it didn't work. Jump start was also unsuccessful. The car was towed to the nearby dealership. After days of waiting, I was told problem can not be diagnosed but they offer to replace the computer. Now I am waiting for their new result.

My head lights blinked three times then went out on low setting, high beams work only. Bulbs have been replaced four times and after about a month they blink and then go out- this has happened each time while driving at night time on way home from work with my children in the car and this is unacceptable. Especially when seeing how many forums are online about this issue with kias. All times I have been on back country roads going home from work at 11 pm.
