My 2015 E350 with only 40,000 miles was diagnosed to have a rotted and detached rear sub frame . Seems to be a common problem because of defective metal used by the manufacturer. There seems to be a lot of others with same issue I found on the internet . While Mercedes’ Benz has no recall as of yet. While driving on the highway , while at 50 to 60 mph. The car would sway and feel like it was sliding . After hitting the brakes the car would pull drastically to one side . After inspection at my Mercedes Benz dealership they told me that it is completely rotted and broke apart, this is a life safety accident since it could disconnect and hit gas tank and rip apart brake lines. The rear axle would shift and possibly fall out. While driving this car it put my family in complete danger . Ther

The rear subframe of the car (MB E350, 2015 with 81,000 miles) is completely rusted/corroded through creating an unsafe situation where the car pulled left on braking with resultant loss of control of the vehicle as it spun out. The brake lines are adjacent and are also currently being inspected by MB Open Road Service [XXX] in Bridgewater, NJ. It is a miracle we (my three grandchildren, my husband, and/or I) were not involved in a tragic accident. This manufacturing component failure has been widely reported in the USA and worldwide for years with recalls in other countries, but not yet in the USA. I also reported this by phone to MBUSA, but have yet to receive any information or confirmation of the issue in writing. As you can see from the photo (courtesy of Denson's Auto Repair who

Have this vehicle bought 2 months ago and have develop this condition, making hard to see and drive thus is a serious driving hazard. Contact Mercedes Benz dealer refuses to address the issue as safety hazard and did not repair or replace headliner at my cost of $1,652 plus labor etc. Vehicle has Vehicle dealer various private warranties but according to them it is a cosmetic issue not a safety one. I strongly disagree with them since I can not see mostly from my rearview window back and even the front window have to hold one the liner to move the vehicle (can not drive while holding the liner) Please advice if any service bulletin of this type of issue a

The sub frame of this car is being replaced under a warranty extension due to severe rusting and separation creating an extremely unsafe driving condition. It was determined during inspection the rear brake lines were also corroded. This is also due to environmental exposure and substandard materials of construction. Many E classes of the W212 and prior have this concern but Mercedes is not covering the brake lines as part of this warranty. In fact they are charging up to $4000 to replace with the subframe already removed!! This is highly concerning as this is a safety concern that must be covered.

I was driving the car and when applied the breaks noticed that they weren’t working. It was close to be an accident with the car in front of mine, but I was able to maneuver the car. When I stopped noticed that the break fluid container was almost empty and the fluid was leaking under the car. I brought the car to the Mercedes Benz dealership and they said that it was “normal corrosion” that caused the break lines to be totally rusted and leak. They also mentioned that “it was pretty common to happen in those cars during summer”. I had no option but to pay several thousand dollars for the replacement of the rusted and corroded brake lines. It is clear that Mercedes Benz doesn’t care about the safety of the passengers, and even worse, profiting from a defect in the materials that they us

I ran over an unavoidable moderate sized city street pot hole at low speed while braking and the front passenger side tire deflated. Another original tire was defective and developed a sidewall bubble in september and the dealer replaced it for free. Then I was instructed to inflate the tires to 40 PSI and I have been careful to maintain the tire pressure.
