The dealership is not responsive to our request to have the car repaired.

Needed to use my horn when someone drifted into my lane on the interstate. The horn did not work. I could not honk to inform that driver to stay in his/her lane. Afterwhich, I took it to my Toyota dealer. They diagnosed and discovered the spiral cable had an open circuit. They replaced the spiral cable assembly. From what I remember they told me this cable assembly carried wiring for cruise control, air bags, horn and something else. I do not recall the fourth item.

Steering wheel shake and vibration at approximately 55-65mph. Alignment and multiple wheel balancing appointments have not fixed this problem.

At 20,202 the SUV's steering wheel would shake when brakes were applied. The dealer noted that the rotors were warped, glazed and had heat spots. Vehicle qualified for replacement brakes under warranty, replaced brake pads and rotors front only. Since repair, the front wheel started to shake again - dealer said to get new tires to solve problem. Got new tires at ~47,000. Problem still existed, and took to dealer for regular service and to address brake pulsation when applying pedal. The dealer, northridge Toyota, declared that "the pulsation is a wear or driving pattern issue" refusing to fix this obviously defective braking system. Recommending the same rotor and pad replacement at a cost of over $660.00. Many documented complaints of this same problem on this NHTSA website.

Entune radio/navigation system continually crashes and stalls while driving causing safety hazard if driver has to continually reset the radio power while driving. This usually happens more so when the navigation system is engaged. It will crash out of no where, use to just happen with instructions were being given through the speaker now its random. Happens also when with just music playing, will be unable to change stations or control volume with buttons or nobs. This seems to be happening to a large amount of customers who have no way of solving the issue. Might be need for safety recall as people may need to continually reset or try to figure out whats wrong while driving. 2015 Toyota 4runner - door lock actuators. At around 36,000 miles the rear driver's side door actuator began to fail intermittently. Within a couple months it failed completely and the rear passenger door lock actuator began to display the same problems. At 40,000 mileages all of the door lock actuators have failed. This is a non-problem and a major safety issue. It is also very expensive to repair.

The door lock actuators have failed on both the driver side and passenger side front doors. Unfortunately this is a know issue across this model along with others and can be found in several forums. The problem is that the actuator gets stuck and at one point I was locked inside my car and once I was locked outside my car. If there was an emergency it could put mine and others safety at risk if the lock fails. The vehicle was inspected by Toyota who stated the actuators need to be replaced at $805 a piece and will not fix it themselves even though it is a known problem. This happened within the last month.

I purchased a Toyota 2015 4runner for my 19 year old daughter at serra Toyota in birmingham,al on 3/15/17. At the time of purchase I asked the salesman if the car had takata airbags. I was told - no that it did not have these airbags. I knew to ask this question because our Honda 2011 crv had them as well as our 2010 Lincoln mkx. I have received 2 legal notices for owners of vehicles with takata airbags concerning my daughter's Toyota 4runer. I typed in my daughter's VIN number on the web site www.airbagrecall.com and it said active recall on my daughter's vehicle. It said recall incomplete on car. Manufacturer recall # 14v828. Summary set 014. I don't understand how a dealership could sell a car to a 19 year old that has safety issues. She drives it back and forth to college in va. Please

I'm writing you today in the hopes that you can investigate and create a recall for Toyota's x-reas suspension system. I purchased a brand new 2015 limited 4runner four years ago. On november 29th, 2019 I had my 4runner serviced at a Toyota service center for a 40,000 mile check up. After the check up I was told that both front struts needed to be replaced and due to the design (both front struts being connected to both rear shocks) the entire x-reas suspension system needed to be replaced. (total cost before realignment and tax = $2,468.00.) x-reas comes standard on the limited Toyota 4runner and is a hydraulic system that cannot be serviced. The x-reas system on my 4runner started leaking with only 38,977 miles of city and freeway driving with absolutely no off roading. I feel that this

This is our third Toyota 4Runner with the "X-REAS Sport Enhancement Suspension System". There has been some type of failure of this system on all 3 of the 4Runners we have owned. The latest problem with this suspension system on our 2015 4Runner was discovered during a Toyota dealership service appointment at 42,091 miles. It was recommended the full X-REAS system, front and rear shocks with lines and actuators be completely replaced since both front shocks are leaking fluid at a cost of $4,000. Since this is our third 4Runner with this suspension and related problems it is our fear that this suspension system might fail when driving and possibly cause an incident with who knows what could happen. We have brought this to the attention of the Toyota Customer Experience Center and in co

Within a few weeks both the driver and passenger door actuator motors failed. This prevented the vehicle from automatically locking the doors when placed in drive or reverse. This also prevented being able to lock and unlock each door using the remote or the lock button inside the vehicle. The dealer indicated that this is a common concern for the vehicle. Each repair ran approximately $500.00 each. The doors not automatically locking presents a safety concern when the vehicle is moving. It would also make you more susceptible to having items stolen or car jacking. This occurred whether the vehicle was moving or not.

When accelerating through a turn from a stop, if for any reason you lift off the accelerator pedal and then reapply pressure to the accelerator pedal, no acceleration takes place. It is if you are not pressing the accelerator at all, no matter how hard you press. This has almost resulted in several collisions because the car is no longer accelerating and is just coasting. To correct this condition, you have to completely left your foot off the accelerator and reapply pressure. Sometimes you have to do this more than once. Very dangerous. I reported this to my Toyota service rep, and he said his does the same thing. It could be the throttle position sensor, or four wheel drive software, or ...

While braking aggressively on a dry street in a straight line, the ABS system kicked in for a brief second and then it released the brakes all together - resulting in complete loss of all braking capability. Braking capability was restored after the pedals was released all together and re applied. This happened twice over the past 6 months. On 2017/10/13 I took the vehicle in for a comprehensive inspection of the braking system by a Toyota authorized dealer but they had not identified any faults and claim the system is operating as expected.
