Driving 35-55 MPH and going around (usually) a left curve on the highway or interstate, van suddenly brakes, swerves, and traction control/vehicle stability control light pops on. Whole episode lasts a second or two, then its fine. It wont happen again for the duration of the trip. I only drive the van on weekends, and it has happened three times in the past two weeks. It has nearly caused a serious accident.
We ordered power rear seat that would by pushing a button. We had them the two past sienna we had purchased 2010 & 2013. They we not on the sienna and we were told by dealer that they could not be on this sienna.
Navigation system / screen restarts intermittently while driving under normal operating conditions. No buttons on steering wheel or on navigation system are operational during this period.
The vehicle rear sliding door had a recall. I had the recall preformed at Smithtown Toyota. After the correction was done. I continue to have same issues with the drivers side rear sliding door. Where it will not open when pushing the open button on my controls in the front. Or when my child 12 years old attempts to manually open the door. As this does not happen all the times. The dealer says they can not replicate the problem and it is working to manufacture standards. I spoke with Toyota corporate and they are aware of continued problems with the sliding rear doors. the have a customer support group, but I would have to pay for the dealer to inspect the vehicle. I have extended warranty so they said I wouldn't then have to pay. However every time you take it in with a problem they can n

Britax car seat. Advocate 70-g3. Manufacturer 01/2013.complaining of top latch component! We have owned this car seat for 3 years and never had an accidentwith it untilnow. We were sitting at a red light and got rear ended by a big pick up truck smashing our trunk in and lifting our back end off the ground. Our one year old who was in this car seat was rear facing and latched in correctly wearing a light fleece (no puffy jacket.. We are very careful to follow every car seat rule). During the accident her top latch came undone! The adult sitting next to her witnessed the top half of her body fly forward hitting the seat she was facing! She vomited shortly after and was said to have a concussion! We are reporting here and complaining to britax! We are never buying that brand again and we hop

Power sliding door recall phase 2 with wheelchair ramp. This is a safety issue. We received the recall notice over a year ago with no remedy yet. I have called multiple times throughout the year and there is still no eta. I don't even know if they are working to resolve this or they have just decided they don't care about disabled veterans.
I bought this carseat in March and began using it August 2nd for my infant who was born July 31st. The straps have slowly become an issue. We try so hard to tighten the straps but to no avail. This puts my child at risk if we were to get in accident as he is not secure and the straps are still loose. I did reach out to graco who informed me I had to do a warranty claim. I am not sure yet if thet plan to do anything in regaurds to this issue.
The vehicle was stationary and one day ABS malfunction light came on due to faulty harness on a 3 year old 35,000 mile vehicle. This reduces the ability of the vehicle to stop normally as it should this also disables the traction control on the vehicle. I was driving in rain without any traction control and it was scary. I contacted Toyota and they keep stating the car is out of warranty. It is $500+ repair to ABS system due to their faulty parts. I just need this to be on the record incase something happens while driving a Toyota sienna.
Fuel door latch hinge is broken at the top of the hinge. Possibly, it caused by the door latch safety with excessive tension. It disabled the driver side sliding door. Driver's side sliding door could not be opened and it caused exiting issue for children and occupants in the car. Car's mileage is at 27,000 miles. Fuel door opened during in motion and/or stationary.
tires 1 complaint shown
We recently had two Dunlop P 235 / 50 R 19 tires fail on our car. On 11/5/21, the front passenger-side tire tread and belt began to unravel while driving at freeway speed. This happened suddenly, with no warning lights, and we became aware of the problem when we heard a loud thumping noise from the unraveled tire striking the underside of the vehicle. We immediately exited the freeway, found a tire shop, and had the tire replaced. The following week, I inspected the other tires and found that the front drive-side tire was failing in exactly the same way. We immediately had that one replaced too. Neither tire shop that replaced the tires could identify a cause of the tire failures other than possible defects in the tires.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 Toyota sienna. While driving various speeds, both the driver and passenger side view mirrors became loose, which changed the driver's focus of the road. Byers Toyota in delaware, ohio was made aware of the failure and stated that both mirrors would need to be replaced. In addition, the dealer stated that the vehicle was out of warranty. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

brakes 1 complaint shown
Brake shaking/shutter upon braking down a steep hill. The 2015 sienna AWD has 45,000 miles. The sienna has mostly been driven on flat to mild sloped interstate roads that do not require braking. Recent inspection by a tire shop reports 12/32 remaining on brake pads showing minimal to no wear. Upon driving down a steep road requiring braking to control speed there was violent shaking/shutter in the front end. Thinking something was broken, reduced the speed and used transmission to control speed to reduce brake application. This relieved the violent shaking. Checking internet there is a Toyota tsb for this problem replacing brake pads and additional work. The problem has to be reported to Toyota within the 36,000 mile warranty to have the problem fixed by Toyota. This problem needs to
seatbelts 1 complaint shown
2nd row seat belts bind and generally do not retract, even when seat is occupied. They remain loose and flop around and do not "snug up" against the occupant as every other seat belt does. Dealer says "all the sienna's do that" because it's such a long belt - in fact he replaced the belt and the replacement does the same thing. This seems like a safety hazard since in the case of a wreck I worry that the seat belt may not retract correctly to restrain the occupant, or even if it retracts it may not be positioned correctly. Mostly the 2nd row belts are very loose and flop around unless an adult makes a conscious effort to slowly and very carefully feed the back into the reel.
