2015 Volkswagen CC owner complaints

Rearview Video Systems does not work. More commonly known as backup cameras, this technology helps the driver see behind the vehicle to avoid backing over people when moving in reverse. from long running forums it seem to be a long running problem. Customer take there cars in only to find the dealers can't fix them.

Recall on a fuel pump/ modular with no fix since 8/16/2017. Today 12/12/2017 still no remedy or fix for the issue. Safety concern as I carry my family in the car. So far thankfully nothing has happened as of yet.

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 Volkswagen cc. While driving various speeds, the vehicle suddenly shut off and was able to restart. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed that the fuel pressure sensor was faulty. The sensor was replaced, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed to flow Volkswagen (5601 roanne way, greensboro, nc 21409) where it was diagnosed that the fuel pump fuse was faulty. The fuse was replaced and the failure was remedied. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 38,000.

This concerns recall, 17v509, for my 2015 vw cc. It has almost been a years since the recall was issued but still there is no fix in sight. The recall states that the problem could leave me stranded at best and cause a wreck at worst. I have avoided driving the car since last august and I sure hate paying for something I am afraid to drive. Such a long wait for such a seemingly simple fix is ridiculous. Maybe vw should be forced to supply us with rental cars until the fix is ready.

On oct 1, 2017 received a recall notice from vw. Recall 20ae fuel pump control module. NHTSA 17v509. Today is april 10, 2018 & vw advises they do not have the parts to fix this recall. In the meantime because of this issue my battery continues to drain and I have already replaced 2 batteries since I have owned the car. Also I want to be reimbursed for my last battery purchase. Can u help?

As I was making a u-turn I could hear a noice from my steeling wheel and immediately the airbag light came on and read "error: airbag". I couldn't help but panic thinking of all the possibilities that can happen. I noticed the buttons on the steering wheel weren't working and later realizing my horn didnt work either. I called the nearest dealership and they automatically wanted to charge me for a diagnosis. They insisted that they had already worked on an airbag recall (69y5) my car had and that the diagnosis found "numerous codes." one of them was code vag00588 -driver airbag igniter upper limit exceeded telling me they need to install a new steeling wheel clock spring. I started to hear a weird noise when turning. A couple of days later the airbag light came on and the horn and buttons on the steering wheel stopped working. It's very dangerous to drive without a horn and it's scary to know that your airbag won't deploy in a crash. This happened at 50,000 miles.

I noticed a noise earlier this year while driving and I was convinced it was flat spots on the tires or road noise.. I found out recently that the tires on my car are cupped and need replaced immediately. So I did some research online to find that thousands of people have the same issue.. Volkswagen refuses that it is an issue with their car!! From what I have read there is design flaw in the suspension that causes tire cupping and feathering.. Road noise at 60mph made me inquire at my 2 year maintenance event. My car only have 16000 miles and there is uneven wear and cupping in the rear tires, per the dealership. They said there is nothing they can do about it (without me paying for it). After searching the internet I have found numerous cases of vw cc owners complaining about the problem only for vw to do nothing. It is a systemic problem with how vw sets up their suspensions which is leading to poor tire wear and cupping. The suspension is not set up properly from new, and it takes every owner 10-20k miles, a new set of tires, and an alignment to remedy the problem.

Loss of motive power while the vehicle is in motion on city street and loss of power from stationary position at red traffic light to a in motion green light pressed on pedal with no motion. This happened from the day I purchased the car while salesman was in the car explaining the cars specifications . When it happened he said its part of the next feature of car. He asked me to leave the car in a stationary position on incline and remove my foot off the brake and allow the car catch gear without pressing on the gas pedal that it drove up on its power and not mine. The clock spring on this vehicle is defective. Airbag light is on, all steering wheel buttons/controls no longer work and the horn no longer works. Online research shows this to be a known issue for this model year and beyond. Additionally, there was a recall for this exact problem for the previous model year. Further research found the following NHTSA document https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2018/MC-10149942-9999.pdf as a limited warranty extension that includes this model year. However, dealer service and Volkswagen customer service have no knowledge of this limited warranty update and or that this vehicle VIN is not included. This has now made this vehicle UNSAFE to drive without working air bags.

The contact owns a 2015 Volkswagen CC. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the back over prevention camera failed to display an image. Additionally, the brake lights and turn signals failed to operate as needed, and the electronic trunk latch was inoperable. Upon inspection, the contact discovered that the trunk wiring harness was damaged from wire fatigue, caused by the opening, and closing of the trunk lid. The contact replaced the wiring harness. The electronic trunk latch mechanism was not replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The local dealer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 60,000.

Failed state safety inspection: 'fog lights remain on once hi-beam lights are activated.' my wife purchased a brand new 2015 Volkswagen cc from atlanta georgia Volkswagen dealership. She moved from ga to md in april 2018. Therefore, she had to have the car md safety inspected. The car failed because the fog lights remained on once the hi-beam lights were activated. Md state laws requires the fog lights to automatically shut off when the hi-beams are on. This car has never been in accident nor service by anyone other than Volkswagen. I took the car to local Volkswagen (pohanka) and they ran diagnostic. 2015 Volkswagen cc I was told that the ABS module has gone bad. Some of theses vehicles are on recall, mine is not. I was also told by the dealer that there is a national backorder on this part. I’m not sure what I can do at this point.

The contact owns a 2015 Volkswagen CC. The contact stated while stopped at a traffic signal, the signal changed to green and the contact depressed the accelerator pedal; however, the vehicle stalled. The contact attempted to restart the vehicle, but the vehicle failed to start. The contact stated that numerous warning lights were illuminated on the instrument panel while attempting to start the vehicle. The contact had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the fuel pump had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The mechanic informed the contact of NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V509000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 105,000.

The car had an air bag recall fixed and a few weeks later the air bag light came on and the horn won't work. Now the dealership wants the customer to pay for repairs stating that it is the clock spring that is broken. This problem is a direct result of the air bag repair.

Started having problems with the fuel tank at around 65,000 I had an extended warranty on the vehicle and around 80,000 they replaced the entire fuel tank… recently, I started smelling gas very strongly inside my vehicle and took it to a honest mechanic who was able to find the fuel pump which is located behind the backseats he told me the pump is sweating and there’s a puddle of gas in it and that’s why I have the strong smear smell of gas in my vehicle.
