On 17 November, 2023, at approximately 12 PM, I was traveling down the highway at approximately 55 mph. I suddenly heard a loud pop coming from directly under the cab and a subsequent rattling. It lasted for about 15 seconds, went away, and then lasted for another five seconds before completely stopping. Upon parking the vehicle, I crawled underneath and noticed that the flex coupling between the transmission and drive axle was missing two big chunks, and it appeared that a part of that material was lodged into the fire wall above the transmission underneath the floorboard. Also, present was a lot of strands of fiberglass from the coupling material. I immediately searched the Internet for some information regarding this and came upon an active recall that was published in 2019 for certain

The driveline broker from it's holding mount while driving and tangled up the fuel line and brake lines going to the rear of the van. Making the van lose power and not be able to be driven anymore. This happened while driving on the freeway. This is extremely dangerous. Also they have a recall on the rear flex joint which the Ford dealership has recognized but are refusing to pay for the total repair. How is that fair? It is Ford's design flaw that made this happen.

The overall noise level while driving is way above normal. Humming sound while driving at 40 to 50 MPH plus. The **decibel** level is high. Noise coming through all the doors and door seals, the floor, etc., noise from the tires. I measured the decibel levels on the local expressway doing 65 to 70 MPH. The decibel level at the *dog house* was running between 75 and 80 decibels. I have been trying to put additional self sticking door seals on all doors, 100% around, complete, etc. This has been happening for the past several years. Shortly after I bought the vehicle.

The vins are: [xxx] broken in jan/feb 2017 with less than 4500km; [xxx] broken in march 2017 with less than 5200km ; [xxx] broken in august 2017 with less than 3000km ; [xxx] broken in november 2017 with less than 4600km (broken down in the motorcade for potus visit!). At this rate, we expect that our entire fleet of large vans which are Ford transits to be inoperable. We have received the service from one of local transit dealers in beijing called [xxx] , but it seemed the problem is not included in the "recall notice" from Ford . I was not made aware of the recall. The driveshaft separated while I was driving, causing significant damage to other parts of the vehicle, including the transmission, motor and transmission mount, cooling, electrical and brake and transmission lines, oil and fuel parts, and much more underneath the van. This happened after a very brief hard vibration moments before it “exploded” and sent me flying into the air and coming to a very quick stop, which also caused medical issues. Ford is refusing to repair all that their recalled part damaged claiming they “notified me” but I haven’t received such notice. I stay up on all maintenance and repairs for my van, and the dealership acknowledged that when looking at the vehicle history reports.

Vehicle goes into "limp" mode while on highway losing the ability to control the acceleration. The van has to coast to a stop, turn off the engine, then restart. The throttle body was replaced twice (3/2/21 and 11/21/22). This causes a major safety risk for the driver, passenger and all other drivers on the road. Losing control of the vehicle mechanically without warning and in such a sporadic fashion is unacceptable at this age and mileage. 170,245 miles & 219,118 miles.
