Two radios have gone out within 30k miles. I am getting my 3rd replacement at 31k miles. The screen is frozen and says Dodge. Not able to access climate controls. Going to try upgrading to the better factory radio, it only costs 1648 for parts and install!!! This is a consistent problem per the internet. Please recall this issue!!!

The touch screen on the 2017 dodge challenger radio is separating, which controls all systems on the car!! System is changing settings on its own. This is very dangerous.
Computerapps on display screen constantly resetting itself, freezes up constantly and cannot turn down or off radio or any other features until it resets itself . Back up camera terrible when in use at night screens blurry and bright red from back up or brake lights. Back up camera stays on after vehicle is put in drive happens at all times in the driveway, driving down the highway...etc
I was driving down the highway when my vehicle completely cut off on me forcing me to pull over the car lost power.very very unsafe. I pull over and was able to press the push start and the vehicle started again about 15 minutes late it cut completely off again losing all power I end up getting the vehicle towed. While the vehicle was being tow the power came back on then lost all power again. I thought it was my battery so I purchase a new battery however that was not the case traveling back how that same day it cut off twice on the highway scaring the you know what out of me. I managed to make home. The next morning I went to start the car and the power completely dead so I tried playing with the battery and power cut on so I cranked up the vehicle and proceeded to drive to work
The 8.4 Uconnect radio controls many aspects of the vehicle including hands free communications. When a communication device is paired to the system, at a random time, the device becomes unpaired and hands free communication becomes unusable. Additionally, at a random time, when the steering wheel communication button is pressed, the voice prompt announces "SIRI not connected". At that point, hands-free communication is not possible. It should be noted that SIRI is an Apple device feature. I have never used nor connected an Apple device to the system. The radio was dealership replaced in 2021 under partial goodwill coverage and partial cost to me. Uconnect 8.4in screen started to become blurry, like the screen was peeling away or delaminating causing malfunction in touch controls, which includes controlling vehicle performance and settings. Dealer said screen was cracked, not of my own doing. They stated that was not covered under warranty, though vehicle was certified pre-owned with additional warranty purchased. Vehicle owned for 7mths and driven 6000 miles.
Jumping radio and start to turn up the volume , turn on and off the seats heater , change srt presets etc
While in park or driving radio glitches, changes heating cooling on seats and steering wheel changes also lights and display radio screen does not let you touch to change any information or display. Radio turns off and on, while backing up the back up camera stays on when putting in car in drive, also the car is now saying that it is a Chrysler when it is a Dodge challenger

Radio malfunctions, favorite song/ artists displays, will continue to show same song over and over again even when not on, freezes, and no volume. Does not matter if the car is in park, driving or ideling.this has been going on for about 2 months.
My 2017 Dodge Challenger has an 8.4 UConnect touch screen that is experiencing the common delamination defect. There are no warning lights or codes, and my car has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance. It is currently available for inspection, but as it has escalated to a safety concern I do not know how long I can keep it in the car. The screen started delaminating 4 years ago, conveniently months after the car was no longer under the 3 year warranty. In 2020 the dealer charged me the $150 diagnostic fee, and then told me the only thing to do was spend another $1500 to replace the unit. I took my car to the mechanic because the car was leaking radiator fluid. In testing the car he found that the head gasket had blown. He confirmed this with a hydrocarbon test. The car has 72,000 miles on it. I am the original owner. After saving the money to get the head gasket done. I was driving the car around when it began to to run poorly. At idle it was running very badly. I took it back to the mechanic to see what this issue was. After doing some testing they started to take the camshaft out of the car. It came out in 2 pieces. My car has the 3.6 in it. There is a class action lawsuit for this issue but because whatever part was linked to the lawsuit was not installed in my car I am not entitled to the fix. The contact pulled off the roadway and turned off the engine as smoke engulfed the interior and exterior of the vehicle. There were no warning indicators illuminated and no fire. The dashbord says that the transmission needs service. I put the car on park, it starts blinking saying car not on park and once I take my foot off the brake the engine turns off. Plus the switch stays on so I had to unhook the battery.

The contact stated while driving approximately 60 mph when the contact lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a median which resulted in none of the air bags deploying. 2 people were injured and were sitting in the driver and front passenger side seat. I wanted to report that I was injured on 10/6/2020. When my 2017 v6 challenger went out of gear from "park" and drug me down, as it rolled backwards (while in "park"). I sustained multiple injuries all over my body. I went to the e.r. And followed up with primary doctor. I also have an appointment with an orthopedist. I am writing to urge you to please recall and fix the 2017 v6 challengers for peoples safety. I don't want what happened to me to happen to anyone else.
