Transmission shutters and jerks when accelerating from a stop occasionally. It is the same issue that I had in the 2013 focus we owned before this one that was recalled and replaced 3 times by 100k miles. I believe this is the same issue all together and upon investigation have no doubt that this will become a recall issue as well. It is very disturbing trying to accelerate from a stop at an intersection or a parking lot and wonder if your car is going to actually accelerate, blow the transmission, or if you are just going to shutter and be part of an accident because of it. This issue needs to be addressed.

The transmission is slipping on my 2017 Ford Focus. There is delayed braking, acceleration and harsh vibrations. There is already a recall on 2011-2016 ford transmissions. 2017 needs to be included!

Yes it is available for inspection if you choose to do so. Roughly a month ago my transmission shifted into neutral while trying to merge onto the interstate. It bucked around and eventually caught the right gear, and the problem persisted the next 15 miles to my destination, as well as the 15 miles home. I couldn't afford to take it to the shop, so I didn't drive it for a couple weeks. I then had some responsibilities to take care of, and the car was so much worse this time. Trying to accelerate from 0mph was hit or miss, and any time I went over 10 mph it would shift back and forth from neutral to a lower gear than it should have for the speed I was going, then back to neutral. It loses power or shifts into neutral driving down the interstate sometimes, or going up hills. I almost slid d

I bought my 2017 Ford focus se with 8 miles on it when it got about 5,000 miles on it my transmission began to shutter. Brought it to 3 different Ford dealerships to be told nothing wrong with it. About 20,000 miles I notice the shutter becoming worst and worst to be told once again nothing wrong with it. Now my car is at 50,000 and anytime it's under the half way mark with gas the shutter become more intense. Still Ford wants to tell me there is no problems

Shortly after purchasing this vehicle I noticed the clutch slipping while driving. This includes slipping into neutral at highway speeds, as well as slipping while trying to accelerate, leaving me with no power. The shifts, especially 1st to second are very violent and rough. While shifting the whole car shakes aggressively while also being paired with a shuddering and grinding noise. Ford was notified of this problem at 49,195 miles on november 19th 2019. Ford test drove the vehicle and said that they could not recreate my complaint. I was also told that "this is how this car drives". I believe I was told this as a deterrent from making future complaints. Two thousand miles later I went back to Ford after my car was not driving in reverse. Ford chose to relearn the clutch however this was

Have taken to bluebonnet Ford, and they state it is as designed. I called jordan Ford and was told there was nothing they could do about the transmission issues with the Ford focus. This has been ongoing since april 2018, about 10 months after purchase.

1. Car will maintain speed/RPM after you take your foot off the gas pedal. 2. Car will accelerate on its own when your driving and you take your foot off the gas pedal. 3. Car will accelerate from a stop without pressing the gas pedal. 4. RPM will increase when at a stop, the only thing keeping you from moving is keeping your foot on the brake or shifting to neutral or park. Issues started shortly after buying the car brand new and has continued after multiple visits to Ford dealership for same issue. Dealership says they are unable to replicate the problem and so each time we are told the vehicle is operating' as designed.'
