My 2017 Jaguar F-Pace S (3.0L supercharged V6) experienced a sudden water-pump failure that led to overheating, loss of oil pressure, timing-chain slack, and complete engine failure. The failure began with the water pump, which caused coolant loss and intermittent overheating that was not accurately reflected on the dashboard temperature gauge. As the water pump deteriorated, the hydraulic timing-chain tensioners lost pressure, allowing the chain to slacken and eventually jump. This caused catastrophic internal engine damage, including piston-valve contact and metal contamination, requiring a full engine replacement. This sequence — water pump failure → overheating → timing-chain tensioner collapse → engine destruction — is known to occur on Jaguar’s 3.0L supercharged V6 engines. Multiple

Just pulled onto the interstate and was excelling, (55 MPH) heard what sounded like "pop" and the car immediately went into a "restricted performance" mode. I pulled over immediately to see if I had popped a tire; however white smoke was plumming from the exhaust. I couldn't drive my car at all. I then contacted roadside and they picked the car up. Then called Jaguar of in atlanta and described what happened. I was told that the turbo had probably gone out. Jaguar service confirmed the turbo had indeed gone out, as well air coolant fan and possibly fuel injector sensor. So far at $5k. Upon doing some research it's been found that a plethora of people with the same vehicle, around the same mileage (56k miles), are having this same issue. When is a recall going to be issued and all of

Error Message: While driving at speeds of 60-65 miles per hour, a coolant leak occurs, resulting in a loss of engine power and reduced control over the vehicle, endangering myself and surrounding commuters. The local dealership inspected the car, but Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC refused to authorize the necessary repairs, despite being provided with their Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) Reference: JTB00602 (or JTB00602v2 for later revisions). This is a known issue with the vehicle, which the company is aware of due to several lawsuits. I have already incurred costs for some repairs to make the car safe to operate, but the dealer has informed me that additional work is required.

I was driving on the highway at about 65 MPH and the car just locked up and stopped working. Everything on the dashboard began flashing. Luckily I had enough momentum to pull over to the side of the road. I took it to Tacoma Jaguar who refused to even diagnose it for over two weeks. When they finally diagnosed it they informed my husband and myself that the timing belt snapped and I needed an entirely new engine which would cost $32,000!!! The car is BARELY 5 years old and has less than 60,000 miles on it.

Since I purchased this car in june 2017 the electrical system and brake continue to fail the car has been in dealer service since sept 15. Jaguar seems to think its no big deal. The vehicle, which was less than 18 mos old, was at random times having difficulty starting (chugging and hesitating). I took it into the shop, and after one day they said they could not replicate the problem. Then, about a week later I was sitting at a red light in heavy traffic when the vehicle suddenly and unexpectedly shut off. I depressed the brake and pressed the button to start the car, but nothing happened. Then, I pressed it again and it chugged a little. I pressed it again and it chugged and hesitated a bit before starting. The light had already turned green and I was holding up traffic. I was able to drive home and called the Jaguar land rover dallas dealership to alert them to the problem and was told they couldn't get to it for at least two to five weeks because they had so ma

I have done lots of research and have noticed that there is a lot of issues that the F-Pace has been experiencing with the turbocharger. At some point Jaguar needs to take responsibility and call for a recall. Its a shame that a vehicle that represents prestige has been found to not be a reliable vehicle and to top it all off the parts are over priced. $2500 cost is a lot of money to spend for a vehicle that hasn't reached a 100,000 miles.
