2017 Mercedes-Benz C-Class owner complaints

UNKNOWN it was just one day I started my car and turned the A/C on and I started getting this strong gasoline smell. I went on like a saw there is a recall for this problem for the M274 engines.

Crank case ventilation valve causing check engine lamp. Car has 42k miles. Recommended repair cost $2000

There is a short rubber fuel line/hose in the engine compartment that is attached with compression clamps; the hose connects the fuel line from the gas tank to the high pressure fuel pump. When it gets cold outside (below ~40 degrees Fahrenheit) the clamps loosen a bit and the hose will leak gas The entire interior smells like gasoline, really bad.

Sunroof explosion took place in transit to delivery to my home in centerville, ohio from houston, texas. It was stationary inside of enclosed transit vehicle.

My car suddenly turned off at a stop sign. After I restarted it, it turned back on and my engine light turned on. I called the dealership and after inspection I was told that the valve for my crankcase was malfunctioning. The total cost, including both parts and labor are $1775. I have seen many complaints regarding this issue with the same vehicle. It is apparent that a recall should’ve been issued for this months ago. It is truly a safety issue when the car turns off at a stop sign or a ramp. I could’ve been hit while my car was stalling on a ramp exiting major highway. I implore you to rectify this issue immediately before someone gets hurt.

Most M274 engines have P06DA00 fault code internally. Harness for oil pressure regulating solenoid valve is short/open inside the engine oil pan. It can cause excessive oil pressure and premature oil pump failure. As the broken wire is sunken in the engine oil, I worry if it can cause fire. If the oil pump fair during driving prematurely, engine can be stalled. Mercedes-Benz knew the issue but they decided to ignore it.

My vehicle started shaking and the check engine light came on. It's a PCV valve

While driving home from work, without any warning or blunt force the sunroof exploded and shattered glass was everywhere

The glass panel between the top of the windshield and the front of the glass sunroof suddenly detached from the car. I was driving on the I-5 freeway at 70mph when the panel detached without warning. By the time I had safely pulled over I could not safely walk back to see if I could find the panel. The freeway was busy, I do not know if the panel struck another vehicle. It looks like the adhesive that holds the panel on has failed.

Sudden acceleration after pulling very slowly into parking space. Almost stopped. Car suddenly accelerated, jumped a curb from, went up an embankment and hit a tree. Was able to reverse and back down. It will take a month for body work. Notified Mercedes dealer. They will run diagnostics on jan. 7.

Tl* the contact owns a 2017 Mercedes benz c300. The contact stated that while driving 55 MPH and was going around a curve in the road, an abnormal sound was heard. The sun roof exploded without impact. The contact stated that the sun roof glass fell inside the cabin of the vehicle and on her son who was seated in his car seat in the rear of the vehicle. The contact and her son sustained minor scrapes that required medical attention. The contact coasted to the side of the road. The contact called Mercedes-benz of fayetteville (420 glensford dr, fayetteville, nc 28314, (910) 487-0000) and informed the dealer. The vehicle was towed to the dealer. The vehicle was not yet diagnosed nor repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 23,000.

11 months old car and around 3,000 miles - check brake pad warning went off. Will take the car to the dealer to fix the issue.

Steering wheel malfunction. Car parked at garage and when I went to start I got the malfunction message and the steering wheel would not turn. I called Mercedes and they will tow the car tomorrow. For a brand new 2017 Mercedes this is unacceptable.
