On thursday 12/26 my car started making a crazy sound. By 12/27 I was told by ntb that the cooling fan was in horrible condition. They had to replace it and that is the 3rd one that they had replaced. This is a 2017 Nissan pathfinder with 50,000 miles. Ntb was surprised by the fan condition with it being a fairly new car.

Cooling fan went out at 37k miles. Dealer quoted over $1000.00 to fix stating it isnt a warranty item.
My cooling fan have known bad bushings and makes a horrible loud noise causing the vehicle I drive able due to damage to the engine of fan blades break off and cause overheating. My vehicle had 47000 miles and I had noticed the noise a couple of years ago. When it was intermittent. Now it is very constant. Looking online it is a very common problem with similar vehicles. This has to be recalled the fans should not go bad this early I have a 2001 Nissan maxima and had never had this issue the 16 years I owned it. Thanks
46,000 miles. Cooling fan wobbling. Fan also making very loud grinding noise. No visible damage to the fan. Sounds like bad bearing. Noise is present at startup, drive, and idle. Dealer shop said "wear and tear."
I've had my pathfinder for a little over a year and now the coolant fan has started flapping awful. It started yesterday at my childs school drop off. Anytime I have my heat on or a few miles down the road it is making a horrid sound.. I called Nissan and they said it would cost over $1000 for a fan and labor? Is this fan made out of gold? If it only lasts a year and a half, this is rediculous. I've seen a lot of people on forums complain and they requested we contact this website. As a single mother of 2 and chose this brand for my family, I cant see myself paying $1000 every other year for a plastic part that probably is made for less than $50. Something needs to be done about this.
When the vehicle is running and gets up to temperature, the cooling fan tries to kick in but doesn't spin the fan. It just makes a loud clicking noise like the internal components are turning but the fan doesn't turn. My wife first noticed it when the car was stationary in traffic. I was able to recreate it in my garage, with the vehicle stationary. I have been looking online and it is apparently a common issue with this model.
Began hearing a rapid patterned running at first, which quickly developed into a shaking that could be felt in the steering wheel. Determined that it only happened while the heating and ventilation system was active. Opened the hood, no signs of obstructions, does look like the fan blades of the radiator are loose and hitting the shroud. Given the need for heat to defrost windows as well as safetly operate in the winter with children in the car, it is unsafe to use the vehicle until this mater can be resolved, as without the radiator fans the engine could overheat as well. Will be looking to have the part replaced asap, as the vehicle is needed for livelihood, and with as many people have reported this issue, surprised there has yet to be a recall to address this, as it seems to be the sam

The transmission is failing. The car has about 117,000 miles on it. The transmission issue is a known problem with this vehicle and is causing safety concerns while driving it due to acceleration problems.
The Check Engine light turned on and took it to dealership on 12/14/24 and they stated that Throttle chamber may have issues. Used scanner and code P0101- Mass Air Flow Sensor Circuit was read on scanner. Vehicle struggles to get air flow into engine causes speed to struggle when trying to accelerate.
I was driving the car on a city street, all of a sudden car started to slowdown and showed low battery sign and got stopped/turned off.
We own a 2015 and a 2017 platinum pathfinder both with 25k miles. The 2017 has 20-30 more horsepower than the 2015, but the 2017 is much slower. The 2017 is very sluggish from 0-35mph. The acceleration has progressively gotten worse. I've put the highest octane in as instructed by nashville Nissan; still slow. Accelerating uphill at low rpms makes the engine rattle (able to hear it when driving by a structure to be able to hear the sound reverb off back to vehicle). Tried multiple different air filters to help engine breathe, still slow. Any help will help.

I purchased my 2017 Nissan pre-owned with 40,000 miles and I have only had the vehicle for 4 months. The back up camera will sporadically stay on while in drive until you stop and take it out of drive. I have taken it in and they can't get it to duplicate so they can't fix the problem. I also started having load noises coming from the engine while the a/c was running. Come to find out it is the radiator cooling fan assembly was shaking around and now I have to pay to have it fixed! I have now done research and found this is a problem that Nissan doesn't want to address or do a recall on. Seeing as that pathfinders from 2014-2018 most around 30k to 50k have been affected yet somehow these issues are not of concern. I called Nissan and she took my complaint but did let me know that this
I bought my car used about 6 months ago. It has 47k mile on it now and about 4 days ago while driving it I started hearing a loud buzzing/rattling sound coming from the front of the car. I pulled over in a parking lot and opened the hood and found the radiator/cooling fan assembly shaking around like it was totally out of balance. I shut off the a/c system and the fan stops shaking. Since this occurred I have talked to numerous people online that state this very thing has happened to them on pathfinders ranging from 2014-2018 and it all seemed to happen around 40-50k miles and Nissan will do nothing about it. This seems like a huge issue that needs to be recalled and addressed. Thank you
There was a clacking noise coming from under my hood. After researching what this could be, it appeared to be the fan cooling system. The local dealer told my husband that this seemed to be a problem with many of the Nissan pathfinders stating that it seemed several of the fans would "go out". Also, my windshield washer fluid does not work. I'm not sure how/why this would go out; as all of the electrical components inside of the vehicle still work.
Whenever I accelerate on street from 10-30 MPH car jerks/stutters during acceleration, also when I release the gas pedal car slows down and lightly jerks

Loud noise started when engine was turned on and on idle. Was told that it was the radiator blade hitting something. What or why this happened the local dealer has no clue or explanation other then "it just happens on some nissans" the cost to replace the radiator fan and shroud is about us$1000 on a car that is 39 mths old! Seems this happens to enough nissans that the dealer has seen it various times.
Rattle noise under hood . Found fan for a/c coolant bearing failure fan blade wobble noise started while driving to the market.
Car constantly stutters, when driving on the highway it feels like when you run out of gas, I've had multiple problems with the mass airflow sensor which is unresolved and unable to be duplicated when needed to be found. The 2 weeks after purchase the fan went out. I've replaced the mass air flow sensor and still same issue. The touch screen goes black and also is no longer working. All problems started right after warranty ended. I've been stranded multiple times in different cities. When the car is stationary and on it blows out white smoke after a certain amount of time. I'm scared to pull out in traffic because the hesitation and the feeling of it going to lose power.

Tl* the contact owns a 2017 Nissan pathfinder. The contact stated that the brakes were defective and extremely depleted. There were no warning indicators illuminated. The contact called bel air Nissan (1506 bel air rd, bel air, md 21014, (443) 686-7140) where it was diagnosed that the rear brakes, discs, and rotors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and provided case number: 37879548. The manufacturer stated that the failure was due to normal wear and usage. The failure mileage was 24,000.
I reported the brakes being non responsive on 10/23/17 which had also caused a minor accident as the vehicle was in motion on a bridge in winston salam nc in front of the baptist hospital.it was moving stop and go and maybe would reach 35 MPH and then it wouldn't stop. I had both feet on the brakes also standing up but it continued to coast into another vehicle so slow I could see it coming but the brakes would not work. It was took into the dealership after the collision repairs and I was told everything was fine. So during this time between then and now me and my wife was scared of driving and would brake at a further distance to make sure we had brakes. There was a recall on the ABS control unit and the vehicle went into the shop 11/21/18 and was kept for 9 to 10 days. Now we have brake
