The sunroof glass exploded while driving. Shattered glass had the potential to fall into the vehicle had the sun shield not been closed. Shattered class could fly out onto the road causing hazards to other motorists. The sunroof has not been inspected yet. No warnings or symptoms prior to failure. While driving, a loud explosion was heard coming from the top of the car. When inspecting the top of the car it was noticed that the sunroof had been shattered along the seal. No signs of impact from projectiles.

Large amount of fuel dumped onto road from right rear side of car at stop light. Police stopped me and asked me get a tow and no longer drive. 1st garage said it might be faulty fuel pump, and only VW dealer can replace. towed to VW where they replaced the whole fuel assembly.
Infotainment system restarts every few minutes during operation. This is a safety issue because it is very distracting when using the navigation system while driving and can cause the driver to become distracted.
There is a piece of trim near the gear selector in the interior that separated to reveal a sharp edge that caused a severe cut on my hand.
The aluminum trim piece around gear shift has come up from the plastic underneath. It is the front of the trim next to where there is a charging outlet and small item storage. When removing my phone one day, I caught my finger on the raised (delaminated) section of the aluminum and sliced my finger open. I did not need stitches, but did use butterfly closures while it healed. I removed the part that was sticking up so now the sharp edge is closer to the exposed plastic and not as much of a hazard. A quick online search shows this is a fairly common problem with many people reporting a cut finger/hand.
On 10/23/2021 in the process of refueling the vehicle in question the gas pump shut off after only pumping less than a gallon of gas. Repeated attempts yielded the same results. Additionally gas would back up and flow down the over flow tube onto the ground. I tried other pumps on subsequent dates with same result. I was able to get enough gas into the tank, less than a gallon at a time, to drive the vehicle from 10/23/2021 to 11/2/2021 when the vehicle began to buck or act like it would shut off. I was able to drive home and stopped driving the vehicle on 11/2/2021. I contacted the local VW dealer and made an appointment to have the vehicle looked at on 11/16/2021. This problem isn't unique to my vehicle. There have been a lot of VW/AUDI vehicles that experienced the same or similar probl

Purchased a used 2017 vw alltrack april 2 years ago. Presently has ~30k miles. Christmas day this year, 4 warning lights appeared lit-up in the console-air-bag, tire pressure, ABS and traction control. Took it to the dealership where it was purchased, and advised that water-intrusion occurred due to blocked sun-roof drains [which are not immediately accessible. Advised that it was not considered standard maintenance and an expensive repair. Also repaired were corroded wiring connectors and corroded wires! Dealer advised that once corrected 'it shouldn't be a problem again' which we don't trust or believe. Research indicates that this is a well-known and well-documented problem. We are very frustrated and concerned this problem will be continuously occurring. Rust never sleeps
This car has a well known panoramic sunroof leak that causes excess water to enter interior of vehicle and soak both front and rear electronics. My vehicle has this problem caused by recent heavy rains. Car is used to transport children and am worried about mold about front air bags being water damaged.
Infotainment system is restarting itself repeatedly every 30 seconds to every few minutes. This has been going on for about 2 weeks. The component has not yet been inspected by a 3rd party.

This is related to VW recal 37M2. My VIN is not in the recall list, but it has the exact same issue with the shifter assembly. The car does not recognize when the transmission is placed in Park. Unable to lock doors
The subject vehicle, VIN: [xxx] a 2018 golf alltrack suddenly and without warning downshifted at highway speeds causing rapid deceleration. This occurred on a two-lane rural highway and at about 60 MPH down to 40 MPH. The yellow "!" illuminated with a message like "trans error, rev unavailable, see dealer". While I was able to pull off the roadway safely, the two vehicles behind were caught off-guard by the sudden and rapid deceleration. I confirmed the transmission would not operate in reverse and the paddle shifters were also not able to change gears. Maximum road speed was 41 MPH @ 9100 RPM, so unsafe to continue. There was no dealer in the area, so I cycled the key off then restarted the vehicle and was able to continue and obtain service. The dealer reported there was an "inter
I noticed a vibration at speeds near and over 80 MPH. I took it to the vw dealer where I had purchased and they found the bolts where the driver front axle connects to the transmission output shaft were loose and backing out. They replaced the bolts, but I'm still having vibration in the driveline. I'm worried what other bolts may be loose or what associated parts may have been compromised as this is potentially a very dangerous safety situation for myself and anyone near my vehicle were the axle to come apart at speed.

Car developed a knocking sound from the front-left which occurred during any movement of the suspension, i.e. from all minor perturbations of the road surface rather than major dynamic actions such as breaking or steering. The dealer diagnosed worn out sway bar bushings. They replaced these (and potentially other suspension components - work details from the invoice can be provided upon request) but discovered during their work that the entire front subframe had failed with a major crack. Details can be seen in the attached photos (taken by the VW dealership - Ourisman of Bethesda, MD). I authorized the replacement of the front subframe with OEM components, at a cost in excess of $2000. I have owned the car from new (first registered in January 2018) and it has ~43,000 miles. The car has n
When we bought the car it came lifted with bigger wheels and tires. They did not tell us it was aftermarket and not covered under warranty. It is not safe to be on the road because it keeps blowing the rear shocks. It blows the rear shocks and basically your driving just on coil springs . Which means lack of control to the vehicle.it has been on going since we bought the car for about 8 months.
