When at highway speed and hitting a bump in the road the steering wheel will shake vigorously until the truck is slowed down. This is a very dangerous situation while at highway speeds. I had taken the truck to the dealer and I was told that Ford knows of the issue and currently doesn't have the parts to correct this issue. A tsb was issued, 19-2393 however there are no parts to correct this.

Purchased new in wenatchee wa. At less than 18,000 miles I noticed a front end shake and bounce when I would drive over any type of expansion joint in a bridge. At around 18,400 it became a violent up and down bounce side to side with the steering wheel becoming almost uncontrollable. The last time it did this I was going around a slight right hand curve on the highway at approximately 55 miles per hour. There were multiple cracks in the highway which a filled with tar to seal them. After running over them the truck started shaking, the wheels were violently bouncing up and down and it bounced us into the oncoming lane of traffic. I had to lock up the brakes to stop the shaking. Luckily there were no vehicles in the oncoming lane. Took it to my dealer. They examined it and found nearly all

Truck shakes uncontrollably in a 10 mile ride it would happen 3-4x at 70 to 75mph hitting the slightest bump, the truck would violently shake. I would have to slow down to 20 MPH for it to stop. Very difficult on a highway. Very unsafe. I have a video to submit it is very hard to show shaking off a truck in pictures. *bf please see attached video. I have filed 6 complaints for 6 different trucks.*jb

Severe steering wheel shake all of a sudden when driving truck has 30,000 miles

12/23/2022 ODI #11498660.0

Driving at normal highway speed while going over a bridge on highway 290 Worcester, mA the vehicle went over the metal plate that connects the bridge to the road, the front end of the vehicle started to shake. Slowly at first and quickly becoming uncontrollable. The vehicle would not stop violently shaking until I brought the truck to an almost complete stop on an extremely congested highway two days before Christmas at noon time. Many vehicles around me at the time swerved to avoid hitting me, just avoiding accidentally striking my almost completely stopped vehicle in the fast lane of the highway. My confidence in the vehicle has dropped to zero and will not allow my wife or two junior operators to drive that vehicle on the highway anymore until the vehicle problem has been corrected.

On 12/6/2019 while travelling from fort collins, co to cheyenne, wy between 70 and 75 MPH, the truck and steering wheel began shaking violently after hitting a bump in the road. Fortunately, I was in the right-hand land and was able to pull to the shoulder and slow down. The shaking continued until I reached about 30 MPH and then it quit. The truck had just under 30000 miles. The next day I went to the loveland Ford dealer service department to schedule repairs for the truck. I was informed that the problem was probably a bad steering damper and that it not currently available from Ford and won't be until the 1st quarter of 2020. They had no other suggestions except to make sure the tires were in good shape and properly inflated.

On 12/17/19 I was traveling at around 65 MPH on a highway when I hit a bump which caused violent oscillations in my steering. I had no control and had to slow down rapidly causing a tractor-trailer traveling behind me to change lanes quickly.

On several occasions, this vehicle with 19,000 miles on it, gets the "death wobble". The front wheels, & steering wheel, start shaking violently, shaking the whole truck causing loss of control. The steering wheel shakes so violently that you loose grip of it. The truck can't be steered and only by slamming on the brakes to slow down can the violent shaking be stopped. It happens completely randomly. It happened to me at 75 MPH, 70 MPH, & at 55 MPH. I was almost rear-ended every time it happened because I have to slow down in my lane. I took it to Ford & they put new parts on but it still does it. Looking online, this appears to be an ongoing safety issue that Ford can't figure out how to fix it. All service on my truck has been by the Ford dealer, including tire rotations, etc.

Experienced "death wobble" while driving at 70 MPH on freeway and crossing a expansion joint in the roadway. Had to slow to under 30 to gain control. Durring rush hour this was very unsafe. Ford has replaced the track bar ball joint under warranty at 15000ish miles due to it being completely worn out causing all kinds of codes and alarms on the dash.once replaced the clunking and the traction control alarms have not recurred.

12/17/2019 36,400 mi ODI #11289766.0

When traveling down the highway at 80 mile an hour and hit a bump in the road the steering wheel gets a violent shaking and the whole truck starts shaking the only way to correct this is to hit your breaks and slow down to approximately 25 to 30 miles an hour this death wobble puts you out of control of the vehicle

12/12/2019 8,000 mi ODI #11288661.0

Have experienced violent uncontrollable shaking in the front end when going over even the smallest of bumps. I've had the front end parts changed out (shimmy shock, links, etc. Have this done every 3,000 miles roughly. I now have 20,000 miles on my very expensive f350 power stroke. Dealership claims Ford is aware but doesn't have a fix. I know there is a class action lawsuit out on this but Ford is denying it..

12/09/2019 27,500 mi ODI #11287986.0

Excessive vibration at front. Known as the "death wobble". Took in to Ford dealership. According to them, parts are on backorder. Truck violently vibrates to the point where I lose control when I hit a small bump. Almost crashed into someone several times. Had to come to a complete stop on the highway in order for vibration to stop.

At 20000 miles the truck started doing the death wobble. If I hit a bump on the highway at between 50 to 70 MPH the truck goes into a uncontrollable shake and loss of control. Very dangerous . Do not feel safe driving this vehicle.

12/18/2021 1 injury ODI #11444235.0

I lost control of my F350 when I was at 50 MPH. It started to shake uncontrollably when I hit a bump in the road… I tried to break and it got worse.. so I took my foot off the gas, ended up of the side of the road. I called back to our mechanic and he said it was safe to drive under 40 MPH. (He looked up the problem and found all the related incidents with the f series trucks…) Since then the have replaced the parts that Ford said to replace… and the truck is still up drivable.

When driving down the highway the truck will start to shake otherwise know as the death wobble. This has happened 4 times. Took it into the dealer and they told me I need new tires and need a new steering damper per tsb-19-2392. They said it would be 400.00 for the part. My ruck is under warranty and I purchased the Ford protection plan. This is not safe for us to drive. It shakes uncontrollable at freeway speeds
