Transmission would hesitate and jerk very aggressively. If trying to accelerate, the car wouldn’t move at all. Constantly jerking or pulling forward very hard when shifting from park to drive or even while trying to accelerate. Problems started occurring near 30k miles. The problem was attempted to be fixed by the ford dealership before by replacing the valve body but due to poor inspection another service center confirmed it is a failed CDF drum.

The contact owns a 2018 Ford Mustang. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V572000 (BACK OVER PREVENTION); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that occasionally the rearview camera displayed a black screen while the vehicle was in reverse(R). The contact stated that the failure obstructed the driver's visibility, which prevented the driver from safely operating the vehicle. In addition, the contact was unable to activate the heater while the screen was black. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was unknown.
The vehicle is subject to NHTSA Safety Recall 25V572 (Manufacturer Recall Number 25S89) regarding the rear-view camera wiring harness. The manufacturer has notified owners of the safety risk but indicates that the remedy parts are currently unavailable and has failed to provide a specific timeline for repair. I have contacted the authorized dealer and the manufacturer requesting a remedy or an interim inspection, as the rear-view camera is currently functioning correctly with no blank screen or distortion. However, the manufacturer and dealer have refused to perform an inspection to verify the system's safety and close the recall status temporarily. Because the manufacturer cannot provide parts and refuses to offer an inspection-based solution, the vehicle remains flagged with an open sa

I was driving down the road in my 2018 Mustang ecoboost. When all of the sudden slowing down it locked the rear wheels up. I slid off the road and fortunately I didn’t hit anything but it did pop my side skirt off in the rear of the car. Thankfully the person behind me reacted in quick enough time to get around me considering the rainy weather conditions. This is very dangerous. It’s throwing a code for a solenoid B. Had traction control lights. And says see manual. But they all illuminated after the problem first happened. The car has been parked for a while. However someone suggested I try this website. There were no pre warnings to what was going on. The car drove fine up until the point of it just randomly deciding to lock the rear wheels up. I still owe money on the car and have been
The transmission gets stuck in gear when you accelerate hard, you can't take the car out of gear and the clutch does not work. The engine continually revs/speeds up when no one is touching the accelerator. This is very dangerous and needs to be addressed right away. This was driving in sport mode, this has no happened in normal mode.
The contact owns a 2018 Ford Mustang. The contact stated while driving 5 MPH, the contact became aware that the vehicle failed to shift out of first gear. The vehicle then stopped independently. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the failure was due to the transmission being faulty. The vehicle had not been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to call the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 37,339.
10 speed Ecoboost transmission, doesn't stay in gear and delayed shifts causing acceleration problems. Hard shifts, jerking, and hard lunge forward when shifted into Drive. The forward lunge is unstoppable even with the brake fully engaged. Transmission slip when changing gears while driving. Yes, it's available for inspection. Yes, mine and others safety risk are at risk. Yes, the problem has been reproduced and confirmed by a dealer. Inspected by an authorized dealer/manufacturer. NO other warning lamps or messages.

Engine has a loud ticking sound. Sound like a slow typewriter. I have a a video with the noise.
Tl* the contact owns a 2018 Ford mustang. While driving, the vehicle made an abnormal clicking noise. The dealer (five star Ford, 6618 ne loop 820, north richland hills, tx 76180) and the manufacturer were contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure mileage was 6,500.
My 2018 Ford Mustang EcoBoost experienced sudden engine failure at 70,915 miles. The dealership documented misfire codes P0300, P0301, and P0316, which match the known 2.3L EcoBoost coolant-intrusion defect. This defect causes loss of power, rough operation, misfires, and potential stalling, creating a safety risk during driving. Ford Customer Relationship Center instructed me that the dealership must escalate the defect to the Regional Field Service Engineer. However, the dealer refused to do so, leaving the failure unresolved. This appears to be part of a widespread safety-related defect involving 2.3L EcoBoost engines, with risk of sudden loss of power, stalling, and internal engine failure

The infotainment system (sync 3 w/ carplay) that came stock with my 2018 mustang ecoboost recently stopped working. The car has 42k miles on it and is just over 2 years old. Sync 3 started to randomly lag (20-60 sec lag per button press), buttons became unresponsive (press not recognized at all), showed incorrect GPS locations while using carplay (plugged in) with multiple map services, backup cam issues, and would cause bluetooth to disconnect randomly. I logged a complaint with my local dealership and brought it in for a diagnostic test. The dealership stated that the apim component needed replacement. The dealership noted this is common and plagues other models with the same apim. A quick google search verified this. My main concern is this: while using this system it can create many d
Battery terminals on this and other ford models corrode to the point of breaking electrical connection possibly disabling vehicle. Ford does not want to fix issue and says whole wiring harness requires replacement to repair. Battery is often replaced and terminal cleaned but it comes back. They try to put off repairs long enough to get it out of warranty. F150 ford pickups have same issue. Corrosion advances so far as to break battery cable clamp. It is generally the positive clamp. Problem is so common that aftermarket manufacturers have issued redesigned replacements.

The trunk will open while driving when it is cold outside, going over any bump, or even when I brake. Took it in to get it fixed 3 times with no results. Also, the rear shock absorbers keep failing; resulting in an uncomfortable ride.
