While driving my Jeep renegade has a hesitation when I take off it started doing this this week I bought this car this year with 72 miles already having to replace the breaks which of course should last me at leae a year
My Jeep has incredibly high oil consumption. I am putting a quart of oil in every two weeks even after an oil change. My car also stalls intermittently, it has even turned completely off on the freeway. The electrical in my car goes in and out and my display for my radio is completely blacked out.
I purchased my 2018 Jeep renegade may 29, 2018 at the Dodge, thompson, Chrysler dealership in baltimore, md 21224. On december 9,2018 in the early morning my vehicle caught fire. Luckily me and my two young sons were not in the vehicle when the fire ignited. The fire ended up smoldering from lack of oxygen because my windows and doors were shut an locked. I contacted the Chrysler manufacture and an investigation is being done. The fireman that came said it looks like an electrical fire due to faulty wiring.
Interior navigation screen has stopped working which interferes with the back up camera & other important features of the vehicle. Nothing specific happened, just went black on half of the screen one day
Tl* the contact owns a 2018 Jeep renegade. The contact stated that the oil in the vehicle only lasted 200 miles. While driving, the vehicle shook, lost electrical power, and stalled. The contact powered off the engine and restarted the vehicle. When the vehicle was restarted, a grinding noise occurred. In addition, the instrument panel indicated to "step on brake, press the start button". The contact did as instructed and the vehicle was able to drive normally; however, the failure recurred numerous times. Furthermore, when the vehicle was turned off, the radio remained on intermittently. The vehicle was taken to motor world Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (150 motorworld dr, wilkes-barre, pa 18702, (888) 459-2493) and was informed that an oil change and oil consumption test were needed. The oil w

The car dies while driving it. If you stop at a light, it dies. Then again after you restart and move up a few car lengths. Once it died while actually in motion!! Apparently, the oil pressure gets low b/c the engine(2.4) uses all of the oil within or less than 2 months time after an oil change. There is a recall on this 2.4 engine, as of 12/10/20 I am told by the dealership, but only on renegades that have all wheel drive and not front wheel drive such as mine. Not sure what the transmission has to do with a badly designed motor(a rep at the local dealership stated that it was a poorly designed engine that was supposed to use some oil); however, this engine sucks the oil dry in under 2 months time thus making the motor die/stall while driving. This is very dangerous! I have seen posts on
Driving and my jeep lost power and cut off without any warning. Had jeep towed to tri city Kia in Eden, NC. My jeep was checked and my fuel pump has failed. There is a recall for this but my jeep does not fall in this recall. Can someone please advise me on what to do? I do not have any paperwork. Today the dealership called and informed me of the issue.
Car died due to being out of fuel but gauge still read 1/4 tank. Mechanic said fuel float failure.
On several occasions the sun roof will not close. when you try to close the vent it will open it self all the way and will not close. There have been times it started to rain and could not close it because it would move forward then go back all the way open. I took it to the dealer and they said if something is in the track it will not close. That includes water if you wash the windshield.
I was driving home from work when I lost power and could not get gas to the engine. Was going up a hill with traffic behind me and had little power. Had the gas pedal pressed to the floor and could not go any faster than 11 miles an hour. The engine was not getting any gas. I was afraid of pulling over on a hill because I didn't know if I would be able to get the vehicle to get moving back up the hill after stopping.

Was on a busy highway and without warning, car started driving rough and engine light noted to be flashing. Just made it to side of road before engine lost power. Notified by dealership the next day that there was an internal failure of the engine and a new engine was needed. 88,000 miles and regular maintenance performed at a service station. Defective fuel pump was also replaced at 66,000 miles. Jeep is stating these are normal breakdowns in the 2018 Jeep Renegade. Even though there is known problems with the make, model and year of car.
Twice now car has just stalled/shut off without warning. Engine light at that time suddenly shows "low engine oil pressure". Taken to dealer twice and oil level low-->oil change done and problem resolved for ~ 3k miles. First time happened around 4-5k miles after oil change, 2nd time happened around 4k after oil change. Oil consumption test at 1k after last oil change shows engine is burning at least 1/2 quart of oil. Dealership states Jeep is stating this is within normal and that I should get oil changed/topped off every 3k miles. This is dangerous and unacceptable that oil consumption is so high that my engine randomly stalls because of low engine oil.
The check engine light comes on. The code reads P219A. Which means there's an air to fuel ratio off. It sounds like it's gonna stall.
The contact owns a 2018 Jeep Renegade. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the oil level was extremely low. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The contact indicated an oil consumption test had been performed. No further information was available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 3,000

While driving, my Jeep renegade will just turn off. I have to pull off to the side of the road and put the car in park and try to restart the car a couple of times. This will cause a major accident to someone someday. It just shuts off without warning. It's a 2018 Jeep renegade with 5k miles! Why would it just shut off? I was driving both times this happened to me. Once last week and once today 12/26/2018. The lights blink saying engine system/maintenance and low oil pressure. I have read online this is a problem with Jeep renegades, but Jeep won't do anything about it. How does this get fixed? Someone could get killed.
Tl* the contact owns a 2018 Jeep renegade. The contact stated that the brake pedal traveled to the floorboard several times when the brake pedal was depressed. There was no warning indicator illuminated. While on an incline, the vehicle rolled in reverse while the brake pedal was applied. The contact was concerned that the failure could result in a crash. In addition, the vent control function failed to operate properly to emit warm air. The dealer (big o Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram, 2645 laurens rd, greenville, sc 29607, (864) 288-5000) was notified of the failure and scheduled a diagnostic appointment. The dealer provided a loaner vehicle. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was not available.
Had an oil change around 2 months before the issue occured. When pulling out of my drive way the Jeep stopped and shut off. Upon inspection I was low on oil. After adding 3 quarts of oil I found where other people online had similar issues with specifically the 2018 Jeep renegade 2.4 liter motor consuming copious amounts of oil. Others had they're renegades stop while driving down the highway but lucky I was lucky enough to be in my driveway. I have always had an oil change on time and through Jeep as well. I also don't understand how they passed and emissions test while the motor burns that much oil.
cruise control 1 complaint shown
Ii bought a 2018 Jeep renegade with a manual transmission in nov 2018. In jan 2019 the cruise control failed. I have had the vehicle in the shop 7 times since then for them to fix it. The 7th time they had it for 90 days and after consulting with Jeep engineers in the u.s. And italy, where it is manufactured, they have concluded that they do not have a fix for the problem. Please see attached document for all the particulars. What is not noted are the other fixes they tried in prior visits, which was to replace the buttons on steering wheel, the wiring harness, and the actual cruise control unit. Since there is an internal memory fault with reading the speed sensor, I feel that this vehicle is unsafe to drive. Chrysler and the dealership are both refusing to buy the vehicle back.
