The driver side if the door handle metallic wrap has begun peeling, I reached for my door handle and was cut by the wrap as it had torn away from the glued seems. It is small enough to cut my hand but barely visible to the naked eye. I had to put tape over the door handle to prevent further cuts from happening on my fingers. I took 2 photos as soon as the injuries happened and I realized what it was that was causing me to bleed from my scrape. The vehicle currently has a class action suit for the gas fuel pump and i contacted mazda to fix the pump and replace the door handle.

Touchscreen in vehicle is randomly changing without my touching the screen. This is a well-documented issue in other 2014-2016 Mazdas for which a recall has been previously issued. However, my vehicle also experiences this same issue ("ghost touch") which indicates to me that the problem is not just limited to 2014-2016 vehicles and that my 2018 Mazda should be included in the original recall to replace the defective touchscreen. The random operation of the touchscreen is a safety hazard and should be immediately recalled by Mazda.

NHTSA: #23V-487 This recall has not been resolved yet despite it being established in July 2023. States no remedy available, and this is very frustrating.

To Whom It May Concern: On Sunday October 2, 2022, while driving in very rainy conditions caused by Hurricane Ian, my windshield wipers failed. On Monday, October 3, 2022, I took the car to an independent mechanic at Chesapeake Import Services in Annapolis, MD. The auto mechanic ran a diagnostic test on my vehicle to discover an electric malfunction caused by a defective relay. This is the same issue that is noted as part of the recall that has already been identified here: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2019/RMISC-19V272-0572.pdf. Unfortunately, my VIN does not fall into the recalled VINs. I am requested that you review and expand the recall to include additionally impacted vehicles, and this issue seems to be significantly more widespread that originally noted. I have contacted Maz

I was parked in a downtown garage, and the vehicle would not start after many attempts, after about 45 minutes of trying (waiting 5 minutes between tries). The engine would turn normally and sounded like it was trying to start, but didn't fully engage. It finally did after 45 mins, and I drove it to the local Mazda dealer in Honolulu. I noticed the check-engine light was on at that time (but not before the incident). They ran a diagnosis, and couldn't replicate the issue, and said it may be a battery problem with low voltage, due to the engine's error codes. But I questioned that since the engine was able to turn normally and adequately at all starting attempts. And the battery was only 2 years old. So I replaced the battery at their recommendation. My 2018 Mazda 3 has an intermittent electrical failure on the high-speed CAN network that causes multiple safety-critical systems to fail while driving. When the fault occurs, the dash lights up with warnings for powertrain, ABS/traction, lane departure, collision-avoidance, TPMS, immobilizer, and the check-engine light. The car also hesitates or “lurches” between 15–30 mph during these events. At one point in 2024, the vehicle went into limp mode on the freeway, creating a safety hazard. These failures are intermittent but repeatable. Diagnostic scans from 2023–2025 show multiple U-codes for lost communication between control modules; two later became permanent. The issue appears unrelated to any one component and affects many systems at once. The vehicle has been to every Mazda dealers

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The high-pressure fuel pump failed. This component failure prevents the car from starting or staying running. The check engine code confirmed the high-pressure fuel pump failure. The failed component is currently at the Mazda dealership and is available for inspection upon request. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk The car suddenly stalled while driving on the roadway, creating a dangerous situation. If this had happened on the freeway or in fast-moving traffic, it could have led to a serious accident. Losing power and control of the vehicle at higher speeds poses a major safety risk to both the driver and surrounding vehicles. I was fortunate that the failure occurred

On september 13th, 2018, I was driving out of the state, during a road trip on my way from cannon beach to portland in the state of oregon around 9pm, I was driving my 2018 Mazda 3 on north of highway I-5 when rain began during rush traffic. I had the automatic front wipers on and they began performing their function for about 3 minutes when all of a sudden they went off. Rain got heavier and even after trying to actuate the wiper lever to high speed, the front wipers failed to start working again. I was in the middle lane of a three-way road and was having a hard time trying to see through to go stop and park in a shoulder. Traffic began to slow down and I could barely see through the windshield. I turned on the emergency lights and began honking to try to stop in the left shoulder. Howev

I had a scary safety issue with my 2018 Mazda 3 yesterday. I had left the car running so that my dog would have a/c. My car is has standard transmission. I pulled up the emergency brake button but as I was exiting the car my dog accidentally put her paw on the emergency brake button and the car started going backwards. Thank goodness I was able to reach in and pull the emergency brake button back up. This could have been a tragedy, not only potentially damaging my car and other people's property but god forbid my car rolled into a person. This emergency brake is a serious safety hazard. I have left my car in neutral with the emergency brake engaged multiple times since I got the car last december and am very lucky this incident didn't occur when I wasn't so close to my car. The

I purchased a car over a year ago for my son from crystal auto mall in greenbrook, nj, a Mazda 3,2018. The day after I got the car the tire pressure light came on. I took it in for service and they advised that nothing was wrong with the tire or rim. On the way home from that service visit the tire light came on again. My son commutes so the car is not used on a daily basis, if it sits more than 2 days the tire is completely flat. This has been a consistent issue from that time until now. I have taken the car in for service several times for this same issue and this dealership has been completely unresponsive and careless about my situation. They have not fixed the problem and have not attempted to remedy the situation. I am deeply concerned about the safety of my son and other drivers w
