2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class owner complaints

initial observation started happening intermittently a week before the car become inoperable. When the vehicle came to a stop like at a light the engine would sound like it was going to almost turn off like a rattle noise and a popping sound or like I hit a plastic bag sound on acceleration. Then the day it broke down I was merging onto interstate 15 I heard the same popping sound, the engine light came on and my car broke down. My car was towed to Mercedes Benz of Ontario and inspected by technicians there and by the claims inspector for safe guard international (service protection plan i purchased with the vehicle)I was told it needed an entire new engine due to cracks in two pistons, etc. This was confirmed by the claims inspector with safe guard. When at a stop the engine will not restart sometimes. I have to start the engine manually. This has happened to me four times in 5 months .

My vehicle only had 31,000 miles and I experienced engine failure. I bought a new engine for 16, 500. 00 dollars. Mercedes Benz did nothing. I almost got in to several accidents because the engine completely stop on the interstate. Almost got hit by several cars. This is unacceptable.

My car was diagnosed with positive crankcase ventilation regulator valve performance failure. This should be recalled by the manufacturer because many c300 are having this very same issue.

Check engine light appeared.I took it to Mercedes and they said the crankshaft was faulty. I had to repair it and it cost me about $1800.00.

Positive crank case valve failure. Check engine light on. Mechanic started this was extremely common and a costly repair on lower mileage Mercedes Benz vehicles. Mercedes Benz forums also mention this is extremely common and frustrating. This happened at slightly over 50k miles on my vehicle. Error code P052e

Forward collison system ($1700 option) aeb, does not work as described in mb literature or website. In my opinion, the forward collision avoidance system (aeb) in my 7 mo. Old 2018 Mercedes c300 simply does not work. I special ordered the car with the 997 pkg that includes, driver assistance, bas+, and distronic the mb manual states: 'if active brake assist detects that there is a risk of collision, you will be warned visually and acoustically. If you do not react autonomous braking can be initiated in critical situations.' and further that 'autonomous braking works at 4-124mph for moving objects and 4-31 MPH for stationary objects.'

Rearview Camera is not displayed when the vehicle is placed in reverse. The display shows a black screen. A Recall Notice has been published for other vehicles of the same year, make, and model. The failure of the Rearview Camera results in safety risks during normal use of the vehicle.

I was driving on highway 1, at about 45 MPH, on my way to work in a light rain. I may have just transitioned into the #1 lane of traffic as I was about 500 feet from the red left turn signal light where I make my normal turn. New vehicle with under 1000 total mileage. Internal pressure control valve in transmission failed causing major damage to transmission with metal shaving found in transmission pan. Transmission and faulty valve needed to be replaced under warranty.

Apparently there is a recall situation that includes my vehicle and Mercedes benz wasn't able to solve it yet. I bought the car after the recall has began.

I have noticed the driver seat belt not retracting after usage. Upon looking online I saw a post about a recall. Called local Benz dealership and BenzUSA customer service both said my Vin is not part of the specified recall.
