A recall was issue 1 year ago for the issue below. This issue has yet to be resolved. The dealer informed me they could fix it at my cost but left little or no hope for the reimbursement. One year is sufficient to come up with a fix. I have constant alarms going off on my truck which is very distracting. I have parked my truck as it poses an unsafe condition. I do not feel this recall - considering it is regarding BRAKES - has been remedied in a timely fashion. It started over a year ago. They obviously are not interested in addressing the fix. I assume they are taking the hit and paying off lawsuits as it is cheaper than actually completing the recall. But whatever the reason, they have not addressed this and my RAM repair location keeps telling me "parts are not available" to fix it. A recall was issued but it does not appear it has any teeth. What is the point? Please let me know if any action is imminent. It can also potentially effect the transfer of title if I chose to sell the vehicle. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
ABS intermittently turns off, brought to dealer and advised that ABS control unit and pump need replaced. Also went to service garage with same diagnosis. Dealer advised that the part in question, the ABS hydraulic control unit (HCU) was not available and would be redesigned maybe next year 2024. This problem has persisted since August 2023. It is dangerous to have the brakes compromised and the uncertainty of stopping prowess. The internet is full of identical issues concerning the 2017-2018 Heavy Duty Rams being afflicted with this issue. Chrysler should be accountable.
I, along with hundreds (if not thousands) of other Ram 2500 and 3500 owners for years 2017 through 2018 have been having an issue with the ABS Module and Hydraulic Control Unit. Have contacted the dealership and it is a well known problem with the aforementioned parts, to the tune of a 3-6 month wait for the ABS Module. The module has a manufacturing defect that FCA/Ram will not admit to, and when in fault disables cruise control and causes ABS to malfunction, which could lead to locking up of tires in an emergency braking situation. This happens intermittently and sporadically for no apparent reason. I have video of the faults happening, but cannot upload the video due to it not being the proper format.
whilst driving, the ABS/traction control warning lights will randomly come on, then go off, and come on again. Sometimes they stay off, other times it is constant dingining as the lights appear and disappear, then re appear. when they are on the traction Control, and ABS do not work. I feel the truck is unsafe in incliment weather, or panic sitiuations that require emergency braking, or slick conditions where Traction and stabili track is important.
ABS and traction control light comes up randomly. Sometimes comes on then off with a chime each time rapidly for the entire time the truck is driven. Or the lights will come on and just stay on. At times the brakes become hard to stop the vehicle. Also does not allow the cruise control to work. I use this truck to haul goose neck 8 ton dump trailer and a 36' fifth wheel not knowing if the truck brakes will work is very concerning. Took it to the Ram Dealership and was told needed to replace the ABS pump at $1260. Vehicle only has 63,000 miles.

The ABS module is defective on my truck which controls the antilock brakes, Anti slip function, and the cruise control. Dealer ship has diagnosed problem and ordered parts but the parts have been on back order for quite sometime with no ETA from RAM when parts will be available. My dealer ship says they currently are wating on 25 parts for different vehicles with same problem.
At around 74,000 miles in December of 2023, a warning to "Service Electronic Braking System" and "Service Antilock Brake System" started to show up on the screen of my 2018 Ram 2500 6.7. The truck was taken to a Ram dealership and the fix to the problem was determined to be replacement of the ABS module in addition to replacement of the HCU. Apparently, the ABS module is faulty and is causing the HCU to go bad so both need to be replaced. Replacing only the HCU will not fix the problem. The truck has not yet been repaired as a new ABS module is not available until June of 2024. When driving, the on screen errors come up frequently at all driving speeds and the error is present the majority of the time while driving.
ABS/Traction Control warning alarm constantly going off, and affecting cruise control.
Recall/Campaign: Ram/Stellantis C4B Problem: “Dealer says remedy/parts are not available / cannot schedule recall repair.” This has been a problem since 2023. Have not had ABS for years or 4x4 and i live in a snow environment. My breaks and rotors are trash from not having ABS.
ABS system and traction control lights turn off and on intermittently. ABS pump and module have already been replaced and issue is still happening

I'm just reporting the failure of my HRU as many RAM owners have experienced. The dealer ship replaced the part with the new model. When this fails it happened at highway speeds disabling the cruise control while towing a trailer. Becuase of busy traffic and under heavy weight when the truck fell on its face. I was almost rear-ended due to the sudden loss of speed. Very dangerous when towing.
Abs, stability control and cruise control are not working as they should. Dash is constantly displaying a warning error about the brakes and stability control.

Tl* the contact owns a 2018 Ram 2500. The contact stated that the vehicle independently drifted to the right without warning, while driving at various speeds. The contact had the vehicle serviced twice by an independent mechanic for the failure however, the failure persisted. The contact then received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 19v021000 (steering). The vehicle was repaired under recall by daytona Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram & Fiat (1450 n tomoka farms rd suite a, daytona beach, fl 32124). Soon after the repair, the failure recurred. The dealer was contacted and informed of the failure. The contact was informed that he had to pay a diagnostic fee out of pocket before the vehicle could be repaired. The contact declined the offer and took the vehicle to an independent mechanic where

Driving along my ABS and TCS light intermittenly appear. I looked into this briefly and have noticed that there is a larger issue in this case. There are thousands of Ram 2500 owners who are having this issue. It is a defective part from the manufacturer and should be covered under a recall. I do not have the funds at the moment to pay for these repairs, so in turn I will be driving with not traction control and no anti lock brake system.
