The automatic collision mitigation system had a complete 100% lock up of my brakes during a cross of an intersection . Although I was wearing my seatbelt the force of the stop threw my head into the steering wheel. It is a complete miracle that the car behind me did not rear-end me. This system routinely gives false positives when going around corners when you are in the center lane and it beeps and pulses the brakes. This time, the car stopped completely and I hit my head and was lucky to not cause an accident. There should be a way to 100% permanently turn off or Acura needs to fix their software. Too many false positives and actually is less safe with it on.

Since the purchase of my Acura MDX 2019, the following problems have been reported to the dealership and to Honda Manufacturing Inc. without any resolution. The dealer shop has replaced recall parts, but the problems persist and have not gone away. The vehicle stalls and stops working while driving. The engine makes knocking/rattling noises upon becoming disabled while driving. The engine would randomly not start when turning it on. When car becomes disabled the dashboard lights up warning lights displaying messages intermittently of the following problems: Anti-Lock Brake System Problem (ABS), Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist, Trailer Stability Assist, Collision Mitigation System, Road Departure Mitigation System, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Keeping Assist, Brake System,
Turned on my car last night and many lights appeared including emissions system problem, electronic brake problem and SH-AWD malfunctioning. All the lights came on at once. According to forums, this is happening with many Acura RDX, MDX models and manufacturer does not have a clear way to repair or resolve the issue. My car has had all the routine maintenance and is scheduled for the 2 recalls to be repaired next week.
The back inner tail light on my car is not working, which is the following recall, however, according to acura, my vin does not apply and does not show a recall. I believe this is an error since I am having the exact issue and my vin should be included in this recall. NHTSA RECALL NUMBER:19V-256 MFR CAMPAIGN ID:M49 CAMPAIGN DESCRIPTION:2014-19 MDX Tailgate Inner Taillight Safety Recall RECALL DATE:03/28/2019 RECALL STATUS:17 Character VIN Required
During normal driving transmission will shift to Neutral, locks the system, and engine does not start when automatic idle stop had been engaged at stoplight or stop sign. Instead of restarting the engine, the feature causes the transmission and electrical system to lockup taking quite a bit of time to convince the car to restart.
While in traffic the auto start sometimes fails to engage and the car stalls. Battery lights come on and the car goes into neutral on its own. I have to sit there and wait about 5 minutes in traffic before it restarts. Battery checked out fine. It has happened 3 times now. This is dangerous, and can/will cause a collision.

Transmission is very laggy when stepping on gas pedal causing late takeoffs. It may damage internals. Also very hard shifting at certain speeds
I think this recall needs to be expanded: Honda and Acura have recalled 2019 and 2020 vehicles including the CR-V and Accord for fuel pumps which can malfunction and cause the engine to lose power. My wife recently had her 2019 MDX stall on her in an intersection and she had to turn off the car and turn it back on so it would work. It sounds exactly like the below: “While driving, the vehicle shifts into Neutral, the transmission indicator comes and DTC P0657 (actuator supply voltage circuit/open) is stored. The driver will not be able to select any other gear until the vehicle is turned off and restarted. Update the PGM-FI [programmed fuel injection] software and the TCM software, clear any DTCs [diagnostic trouble codes], and do the PCM [powertrain control module] idle learn procedure.”
Engine failure due Dealership refusal to fix recall items. Engine completely stop working in between drive.
In front of the red light on the way to work in a morning, I stopped my MDX, then when the red light changed to green, I pressed gas pedal to cross over the street, but unfortunately, my car was pulled backward, and meanwhile, I heard a loud sound of Bang from my mdx. I suspect that the loud sound must be from the gears conflicting in the transmission when automatic transmission shifts. Moreover, the car jerks at around 45 mph speed sometimes. Acura must recall fixing this issue.

In February 2024, received a recall for fuel pump module, which can result in prevent engine from starting, cause vehicle to lose driver power, or stall while driving. Can also result in failing emissions inspection. Acura reports that repair is not available until Fall 2024. In October 2024, while at a stoplight, auto idle-stop was engaged, and engine stalled and would not turn on. Vehicle needed to be turned off and then engine started at that time. A previous recall that affected auto idle stop was addressed in May 2023 where engine does not auto restart after entering auto idle stop. In April 2023 Acura provided a software update, however in October 2024 the engine stalled as mentioned above. Additionally, a local emissions test was performed and failed around April 2022, and passed a

The car is stalling on the highway.that very scary situation the dealer said they don’t have the parts to fix it. Also they said till the check light doesn’t come on they can’t fix it. I don’t know what to do
We received these recalls more than a year ago and after we called the Acura dealership they told us that there were not enough parts to fix the cars now and that they would give us a call when they had the parts, after two months we called them again and same statement, and same thing for 3 more times with the span of six months. today after more than a year I called again and they are saying no part is available! Since I am worried about safety I don't drive my car out of the city but it seems that Acura has no plan to address these recalls.
