My 2019 Audi E-tron has experienced two major issues during my ownership. At around 87k miles, I was driving into a parking lot and suddenly a “electrical malfunction” warning light appeared on my dashboard followed my many warning lights including 4wd, brake system, and battery. The vehicle was not moving properly and I had to slowly move it into a parking lot and had it towed to the dealership. The issue was that the front motor is toasted caused by coolant leaking into the motor. The second issue occurred around 109k miles. My vehicle couldn’t start in a parking lot and the same “Electrical Malfunction” warning light went on. The vehicle was towed to Audi dealership and the diagnosis was a failing SX6 battery control module, which costed me over $8000 to repair. Those two issues both ma

2019 Audi Etron that still doesn't have a resolution for the safety recall of High-Voltage Battery Module(s) AUDI ACTION CODE 93U9, NHTSA RECALL NUMBER 23V867, issued Dec 20, 2023 for a potentially critical self-discharge condition exists in certain high-voltage battery modules that, in some instances, may lead to thermal overload, possibly resulting in smoke or a fire. A high-voltage battery overheating increases the risk of a fire. Putting a sticker on the dash saying not to charge to over 75% and software that reduces the mileage I can drive is not a fix.
The contact owned a 2019 Audi E-Tron. The contact had pulled into a charging station and had plugged the vehicle in to charge the battery. The contact stated she heard a loud boom 20 minutes after having plugged the vehicle into the charging station. The contact saw white smoke issuing from the rear of the vehicle and then she saw flames issuing from the rear driver-side wheel. The contact stated that prior to the fire department's arrival a passerby and a store employee, from a store that she was parked in front of, extinguished the flames with chemical hand-held fire extinguishers. The contact stated the vehicle was towed to her insurance provider's impound lot for investigation. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 111,000.
On the very day I purchased the vehicle (07/22/2025), the high-voltage battery module pack failed, and the vehicle had to be immediately taken back for service. I did not receive it back until 08/08/2025. I was told it was fully repaired and safe. On 09/02/2025, the vehicle suffered multiple simultaneous safety-system failures, including: • “Audi Adaptive Light: Malfunction” • “High Beam Assistant: Malfunction” • “Audi Pre Sense: Currently Limited” (collision-avoidance system) • The vehicle also failed to charge that day. As of today, a new “Exit Warning Malfunction” warning has appeared. This is the third critical safety or high-voltage system failure in less than 90 days. At no point was I informed of any prior safety or recall issues before purchase. Each time, the dealership insist
I plugged my Grizzle home charger into the driver side charger on my 2019 Audi E-Tron. The Vehicle charged but did not disengage the charging handle. I called Audi and followed all their instructions but nothing worked. The car was towed to the Audi dealer where they had to disassemble the vehicle's charging port on the car to get the charging cable handle out. Although the car is still under warrantee, Audi refused to to repair the car under warrantee And charged me upwards of $500.00 for the repair. Audi claimed that since the charger was not an Audi charger there may have been outside influence. This explanation does not make any sense, nowhere in the owners manual does it stat that you are only required to use an Audi charger. This is equivalent to stating that you must take your car
The trunk has one of those built in sensors underneath so that you can close it by waving your foot under the trunk. This can end up being very dangerous, especially since the trunk is deep. On several occasions, as I have been reaching deep into the trunk to grab some stuff, but foot ends up tripping the sensor under the car to start the trunk hatch closing, while I'm in the middle of the closing area! If I didn't quickly move, the trunk would have closed on my body. In other instances, the trunk door has hit me on the head.
I got this Audi etron with the security that I would have access to 150kw charging stations that would charge my car in 30 minutes. This was a lie and they dont exist on the east coast. You are lucky if you can find 1 near by. The fastest charging time for my Audi when its on 26% is an 1hr and 15 minutes on the only supercharge stattions that exisit which are 50kw. This means if I want to go out of states I can not because it will add an extra 5 hours just to charge the car because unlike the sales guy told me it does not give you 250 miles but 204 miles. They also sold me the brand new vehicle with all 4 safety handles missing. I am not comfortable driving the care because if something as simple as safety handles was missed what else was missed. . I reached out to bryan who was suppose to

While driving the vehicle on a state highway the Audi adaptive cruise assist currently unavailable error message displays and disables the adaptive cruise assist function for random/unknown periods of time. This error has occurred multiple times. Additionally, when using the Audi adaptive cruise assist, the vehicle will come to sudden stops when using if a car is in the left turn lane, parallel to the vehicle.
In a parking lot after backing out from the spot and entering car in drive mode - there was spontaneous, sudden, uncontrollable acceleration and spinning of 360 degree on extreme speed bringing the car in the same spot and stopped only with colliding with other parked vehicle on passanger side , pushing it further and damaging another parked car. During the spin process it front of the car first collided rear end of the car parked on driverside, than curb ,than the back of the car parked on passanger side. This entire event happened in fraction of a second without knowledge of the driver , immediately after the car was put in D mode from R mode . Suspecting some sort of TECHNICAL/ MECHANICAL FAILURE that should be further investigated for general safety. The car was regularly service
I received the recall notice and I attempted to get my battery inspected and interim software installed on my vehicle on 9/9 at Audi North Atlanta. I was told that neither can be done because they do not have the parts needed for the inspection or the software install. When I pressed for more information, I was told that the inspection and software update will make the vehicle undriveable until they have the required parts. I was told I would be contacted when the parts were in so that my vehicle could be inspected and the software update could be installed. On the evening of 9/12, when I started my vehicle a red warning light appeared with the message "Electrical system malfunction! Safely stop the vehicle". I contacted the nearest Audi dealership (Audi Gwinnett) and told them I think I'

Dear Audi Product Safety Division and NHTSA Office of Defects Investigation, I am writing to formally document a safety defect in my 2019 Audi e-tron Prestige (VIN [XXX] ), which exhibits the same brake-system failure described in Audi’s brake-booster recall – Campaign 46P6 / NHTSA Recall 24V-621, despite Audi’s system not listing my VIN as covered. visibility 1 complaint shown
I am reporting a serious safety concern with the rear backup camera on my 2019 Audi e tron. The camera provides extremely poor visibility at night and in low light conditions, to the point that it is effectively unusable. The image is very dark and grainy, making it difficult or impossible to see pedestrians, vehicles, curbs, or other obstacles while reversing. This creates a significant safety hazard, especially in residential areas, parking lots, and garages where pedestrians may be present. The issue occurs under normal operating conditions and is not related to dirt or obstruction on the camera lens. The problem has been consistent since ownership and does not appear to be an isolated incident. Given that backup cameras are federally mandated safety equipment, this level of nighttime
suspension 1 complaint shown
The Audi drive select system malfunctioned for multiple hours. During this time the vehicle's air suspension set itself to the lowest possible setting (lower than the drive select modes allow) for this duration. The Audi drive select system displayed a screen that was blank without any selectable options. The Audi drive select system was unresponsive to pushing the physical buttons on the console when trying to select the Audi drive select mode. When I stopped the vehicle and tried to reset it, multiple unrelated errors occurred. These include but are not limited to "predictive efficiency: assist unavailable", "rear cross traffic assist: currently unavailable", "all wheel drive malfunction! Limited stability", among others.
steering 1 complaint shown
The vehicle pulls to one side and destabilizes the vehicle movement both on the highway as well as local roads. The Audi dealership claims that it is due to a highly sensitive lane departure system that can not be either disabled or adjusted. This is resulting in unsafe driving condition as vehicle tries to steer itself whenever it is closer to the lane divider line or even when it encounters a minor dip on the paved surface. Additionally, the steering appears to get sticky and locked whenever the condition is encountered. I have had several situations driving on the highway when the automobile got unbalanced while changing the lanes. I am concerned that someday it will lead to a major accident. I reported it to Audi as well as the local dealership. The dealership tested it and ackn
