Transmission slips when starting on steep grades when first shifting from Park to first gear. Transmission hesitates/shudders between first and second gears.
2019 Chevrolet colorado z71 4x4 vehicle shutters noticeably when in motion on flat roads or uphill. Problem always occurs in all road and environment temps and appears most often in moving operation of 45 to 65 MPH.
Transmission Issues — Shudder And Vibration; Stuttering; Vibration And Slams Into Gear At Low Speeds When Going Into Gear. Problem has been confirmed by a independent service center. No warning lights. No codes detected by service center. Bought in May of 2019. 47,000 miles. Noticed about two months ago,
Transmission does a slight kick before shifting at speeds between 20-45 MPH on streets and highways. Girlfriends sister-in-law experienced same problem with her vehicle. Her paperwork when she got her car back referenced Chevy's bulletin# 18-na-091
I purchased my 2019 Chevy Colorado Z71 new in Feb 2019 from a dealership. About two years ago I began having shifting issues from 1st to 2nd gear, it would shudder and seem almost stuck, this would only occur infrequently. Right after I hit 100,000 miles (about a year ago) I have had nothing but issues with the 8 speed transmission, my vehicle is unable to shift from 1st to 2nd without having the shudder occur, it feels like the whole truck is shaking and loses power at acceleration. I took it in for their recommended "service bulletin" which was something that I had to locate myself because GM has not once communicated about there being any kind of shudder issue and they performed a simple flush of the transmission, not the service bulletin recommendation of three flushes and a different
Transmission is shuddering when accelerating. This shuddering event began around 9,000 miles and has progressively worsened. Service bulletin 18-na-355 has been published but with mixed results. Requesting government agency continues to monitor this as the sudden lurching could potentially put drivers into a dangerous intersection or be unable to accelerate to avoid a hazard. This is a large safety concern and transmissions are expensive to fix/maintain and the cost should be absorbed by the manufacturer as reports of this issue grow and become more widespread.
The 2019 colorado z71 I have has been in the shop at the dealer 8 times since march. The transmission shutters while trying to maintain a consistent speed between 40-60 MPH. The transmission also slips and jerks when slowing down and reaccelerating. Dealer continues to tell me they can not recreate the issues. It has become so that I do not feel safe allowing my wife to travel in this vehicle. I fear that she will be stranded on the side of the road or involved in an accident because of the issue at hand. This is her primary mode of transportation.
Hard shifting from 1st gear to 2nd gear specially when it is cold or on the first drive. The transmission seems to not engage the second gear and when it does it results in a hard jolt.
The transmission surges causing the truck to lunge forward when starting from a stop. The key will not turn completely off allowing the key to be removed. Both events occur occasionally so if the dealer says it did not happen to them then there is nothing they can do. Both things are being reported on the internet by numerous people. Both things are safety hazards.
My vehicle has only 70,000 miles on it. My transmission began to shimmy and is getting worse and worse and several technicians have told me the transmission will have to be replaced. The parts are not available anywhere in the country to rebuild the parts of the transmission that are defective. Secondly I was told I could replace the transmission but there are no transmissions available in the entire country to repair my vehicle with. After investigation on the internet this is a massive problem with this model vehicle and Chevy has been well aware of it for years. A few months ago I had the same problem with them air conditioner compressor. There were no air conditioner compressors available anywhere in the country for my four and a half year old vehicle.
airbags 2 complaints shown
I was travelling at approximately 32 miles per hour when I rear ended a vehicle that was in front of me, the vehicle in front of me was stopped. The airbags did not deploy in my vehicle. Damage to the vehicle was substantial enough to declare the vehicle a total loss.
I was in a serious car accident and my vehicles airbags did not deploy.

Just took delivery of a 2019 Chevrolet colorado. The headlamp low beam will not come on for either l or r headlamp.
I was stopped, and given a warning by a police officer for having no tail lights whatsoever. All other lights were functioning, and they had been fine the day before. These vehicles have four identical stop and tail lamp bulbs. I tested with my multimeter, and found that there was current at the socket. I replaced all four bulbs. Upon inspection, I determined that a SINGLE bulb of the four had a broken filament. It seems ridiculous that one bulb failing should cause the other three to go off duty. What is the point of two bulbs on each side, if they all quit when one dies?

Engine Light turned on. Fan keeps running for 10-15 minutes after truck is turned off. Went to two different mechanics and it is a thermostat problem. Temperature sensor and thermostat both have gone bad in under 5 years. They have told me it is not a good design and now parts are in back order. This needs a recall.

The transmission is starting to shutter at high speeds and not shift as intended.

While driving with the radio at a normal volumn the volumn on the radio will spontaneously turn all the way up without warning. It is exteremly distracting while driving as you never know when this is going to happen which could result in an accident or loss of control ove the vehicle.
suspension 1 complaint shown
While traveling straight down a gravel driveway the front passenger control arm broke causing the wheel to collapse and fold up under the vehicle. The vehicle was traveling at approximately 15 MPH. The driver noticed loss of steering and then an abrupt stop. There were no signs that anything was wrong with the vehicle before the incident occured. The vehicle did not strike anything to cause the damage. The driveway was in good condition and there was nothing unusually that would have caused this type of failure. No one was hurt in the incident. The fracture in the control arm shows signs of cracking (based on picture attached).
steering 1 complaint shown
The electronic power steering failed while driving making the steering of the vehicle difficult and if my wife or child had been driving this could have resulted in an accident if they could not steer the vehicle without the power assistance. The instrument cluster displayed to service the power steering unit. Mechanics diagnostic is that it was the corrosion of water entering the system. Also that this I a known problem. There was a recall recently for 2015 models for what appears now to be a technical service bulletin for the newer years of the vehicle. This is a dangerous issue that seems to have now plagued multiple years of the Colorado pickup. The mechanic also stated that AUL service warranty (protective asset protection) denied the claim to repair as it is a known issue....
