I purchased a new f350 in 04/19. It has an issue that causes the steering and front end to shake violently and uncontrollably when it hits a bump in the road when traveling at highway speeds. The issue is only corrected by slowing the vehicle. Sometimes the vehicle has to come to a complete stop before the vehicle will stop shaking. The issue has happened no less than 12 times as of 12/31/19. It has been to the dealer twice for this issue. They made adjustments and replaced steering dampener both times and the issue was not a present until 6-8 weeks after repairs. This is extremely dangerous and I am very fortunate that this has not LED to an accident yet.

Vehicle front end started to violently shake when hitting small bumps while driving over 55 mph. When this happens, I have to slam on the brakes to get the vehicle back below 40 mph to stop the shaking, then can accelerate back to speed.....only to happen again when hitting a bump. The dealer states that it is worn parts on a vehicle with less than 20,000 miles on it. The vehicle has been at the dealer waiting on backordered parts for over 3 months. Ford is not taking responsibility for the issue. The vehicle is unsafe to drive in it's current condition.

At speeds greater than 45 MPH, when hitting rough pavement or a joint in the roadway (such as a freeway overpass or bridge), the steering wheel wobbles (oscillates) violently back and forth. It cannot recover until speeds are reduced below 45 MPH. This is repeatable. I have filmed an occurrence and posted on youtube for review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rupsa7kdsjo this video shows a typical occurrence. Traveling about 75 MPH on a clear, flat, straight stretch of freeway (I-25, just south of fort collins, co). A small joint (a normal part of the freeway) caused the wheels to shake uncontrollably, which causes the steering wheel to violently shake and oscillate back an forth. It's very difficult to control or even grasp the steering wheel. The only recourse is to find a way

Traveling at 65 MPH, steering wheel begin to shake violently. Unable to control the steering of the vehicle, when brakes were applied, no braking action took place, pedal just went to the floor as if in an anti-lock situation. After speed was reduced below 25 MPH, the shaking stopped and was able to return back to normal driving. This happened 3- consecutive times, each time with the same ending. Truck is a 2019 f-350 with only 22k miles. Has been in the shop now for 42 days with no answer from Ford about what caused or how to repair the issue.

I hit a rather large bump in the road at highway speeds and the steering wheel and whole truck started to shake and wobble extremely violently and i almost lost control. The only way to stop it was to come to a stop.

12/28/2021 ODI #11445201.0

While traveling down an 8% grade hill, I applied my brakes to slow the vehicle and the sterring suddenly shook violently. I could not control the vehicle. I regained control after the vehcile slowed going back up a hill. This was terrifying for my family. I had to drive another five hours fearing this would happen again. I took it to a Ford dealer when I returned home and they installed a steering damper said to be able to prevent this in the future.

While driving at about 65 to 70 MPH, their was a small bump in the highway that normally you would not even notice, made my new truck with only 7,000 miles start shaking and it felt like my wheels were going to fall off, I lost about all control of my vehicle, and had to slow down to about 15 MPH on the I-15 highway to get it under control. I am sure if this persists that I or someone will be seriously injured or killed

Shacking of steering wheel this is not an isolated incident with our trucks, it's a nationwide problem that is very very dangerous. In a 10 mile ride it would happen 3-4x at 70 to 75mph hitting the slightest bump, the truck would violently shake. I would have to slow down to 20 MPH for it to stop. Very difficult on a highway! *bf

I'm a small business owner in tulsa, ok and I was wondering if your agency has received complaints regarding the 2019 Ford trucks with the front end issue called the 'death wobble'? This has occurred multiple times this year and we take it directly to the dealership when it occurs. The last time the truck was in the dealership for two weeks. Fowler Ford called and said out truck was finally ready for pickup. We immediately went and picked it up, and within 50-60 miles the death wobble occurred and blew out the front driver side tire nearly causing us to hit a guard rail with a huge embankment. When the truck tire blew out it tore out the wiring harness, damaged the fender, the door causing over $10k in damage. Please google 'death wobble'. It is all over the internet and I'm surp

I was driving at 65 miles per hour and hit a bump, the steering wheel started to shake uncontrollably and I had no control of the vehicle till I slowed down to about 40 milers per hour and the shaking went away. The same event happened two times. I had it fixed, and the problem still happened. I was pulling a horse trailer with three horses in it the first time it happened.

Major steering wheel wobble at speeds unsafe. Contiues to happen and get worse as I drive.

'death wobble.' hitting any uneven road conditions at highway speed causes vehicle to shake violently. This is at random and you never know when it is going to happen. Temporarily lose control of the vehicle.

Have experienced violent steering wheel and front end shaking about 8 to 10 times (3 of which my wife informed me of recently when she was driving truck by herself) since I purchased truck october 31st 2019. The violent shaking occurs when traveling over railroad tracks, expansion joints and slight dips in roadways usually over 50 MPH. In order to make truck stop shaking we have to slow down to around 15 -20 MPH. Very dangerous! Violent shaking does not occur when hauling 5th wheel trailer or cab over camper.

My 2019 F350 has the proverbial “Death Wobble; which Ford knows about and has admitted to. They have stated the steering damper is the fix, which is not a recall but a CSP, and cannot be sourced for an ETA. When I was driving over approximately 50 mph and ran over the change between the road and the bridge the steering wheel began to shake violently, along with the front end of the truck. This has happened multiple times and has gotten progressively worse. Ford Motor Company and my local dealership have offered no solutions. I feel this needs to be upgraded to a recall and Ford needs to requisition the parts immediately before something detrimental happens to someone due to an accident. Also, according to multiple reports online, there have been numerous components that have prematurely wo

It had a tailgate recall, when recall first came out, they wouldn't look at it. It hadn't caused any damage, or wasn't bad enough. Then they didn't have the parts. Now when they have the parts, they will not fix it because it has to many miles on it. Well DUH! It is a work truck. Causing major insurance claims. and I can't get it fixed?

Previous complaint #11160684. I took my new f-350 to framingham Ford for a "frozen" door latch on 1/17/18. They followed Ford recall 18n03 for 2017-18 models. I picked it up on 1/19/18 and the door would not latch again! It had been dry for three days. I don't think it is necessarily a frozen water issue. It might be something to due with cold. It was dry and cold, around 22 degrees both days the latch would not engage.

One morning while getting into our vehicle (2019 f350) after is had been parked for two days I noticed the rear window was bulging outward and shattered. There is no evidence the window was damaged from the outside, and the window is bulging outward. It appears, the pressurizing of the vehicle cabin by shutting the door could cause enough pressure to blow out a window. The vehicle was parked on a friday at 1400, it remained parked then on sunday we noticed the broken window. The vehicle was parked on street which LED me to think vandalism, however the outward bulging of the window is evidence the break came from the inside. The doors were locked which means no one could have gotten inside the vehicle.
