Unintended activation of the driveline-protection system will cause unintended braking on the wheel on the opposite side of the failed sensor, causing the vehicle to pull to one side unexpectedly, increasing the risk of a crash.
Fix: GM will notify owners, and dealers will reprogram the EBCM, free of charge. The recall began December 11, 2019. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-630-2438 or GMC customer service at 1-800-462-8782. GM's number for this recall is N192261050.

This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician that a customer may request the factory Integrated Trailer Brake Control be bypassed and their aftermarket trailer brake controller be installed instead. Technician will need to gain access to the body harness. Install trailer brake controller harness General Motors part number 23184088 into Middle Bus Electrical Center (X61A).
This Preliminary information communicates an issue with the Hydrastar Electric Over Hydraulic trailer brake system causing a voltage spike into the trucks electrical system which is causing DTC C1114 to set.

I just purchased this 2019 GMC yukon denali. About 3 weeks after; the message "service trailer brake system" started beeping...didn't really pay bother me at 1st since I weren't planning to pull anything. Then it started doing it more frequently. Now it is constantly doing it every few days. Can't seem to get it to stop. Very annoying... Any suggestions?
