Infiniti has identified a serious engine problem with the 2019-22 QX-50 which in their own words may cause the car "to crash". recall notice was sent in mid-June 2025 and they still dont have a solution. how is this acceptable? i am afraid to drive the car. where is the compensation??
I was driving on the highway and the engine started to make a humming sound I would say. Within the next 3 to 4 miles I started losing forward power, and the noise started to get louder. I was afraid my car was going to die on the highway so I stayed in the far right lane so I could coast into the shoulder if I had to. Thankfully, there was an exit and I was able to get off and pull off onto a street at which point it was a louder knocking sound coming from the engine. I drove another block and the check engine light came on and I was getting less power as I pushed the gas pedal. At that point I parked the car and had it towed for repair. This all happened on October 9, 2023. Later that week, I was told by the dealership that I needed a complete new engine that I had thrown a rod in the en

The engine stopped working. Allowing me to go no faster than 15 miles an hour. The safety issue is you can no longer drive at the speed that you need to drive. especially if you’re on the highway. The problem has been addressed by a dealer. I needed a whole new engine $13,000. The car at 97,000 miles on it. Was well taken care of. No warning signs prior also did not come up on my display Apparently, there are many other 2019 Infiniti QX 50’s that have this issue

While driving on the highway and using the hands free feature on iPhone, I said, Hey Siri, and somehow it made the automatic braking on my 2019 Infiniti Qx50 engage unexpectedly. This is not the first time it has engaged unexpectedly and there are also instances when the sensors engage without anything nearby.
After multiple related incidents, I am compelled to make a report. My car just displayed red and white flashing indicators on the dash and automatically screeched to a halt, completely out of my control, in the middle of a busy intersection. Because the road was damp from rain, my car actually skidded. I was not going to hit anything, there was no car or object in front of me. I was driving at about 30 MPH. This has happened repeatedly in parking garages and other low-light scenarios. I have brought the car to the dealer and gotten no answers. At this point I am terrified to drive the car.
Car recently had an important safety recall that was suspended, my car is a 2019 QX 50 Infiniti Luxe, that recently shut down and had to be towed, infiniti dealership diagnosed the car and says I have all low compressions and that I need an engine, these symptoms were quoted to my service dealership prior that the car hesitate to take off, low pick up when I accelerate, stops out of nowhere at intersections, I was told car performs as it was designed to perform even tho I explained it has like a growling sound, now here I am with an engine failed vehicle that they are trying to charge me 13,000 for repairs, I am still paying on this car and have a balance of 14,000+ owed, the dealership is saying they performed a recall diagnosis and that no debri was found in oil pan, any mechanic should
Driver’s seat will not move forward. Driver cannot reach the pedals. This has been an ongoing/intermitten problem. While the car was under warranty, Infiniti of Ft Myers, FL attempted to fix the problem and eventually replaced the components. The problem was fixed until last spring. When I reported the problem to Nissan last spring, they told me there was nothing they could do. I explained it was a safety issue. They didn’t care. The following day, the seat moved forward on its own so I didn’t pursue it. Yesterday, it happened again and today it did not reset itself. I cannot safely drive my car. In researching this issue, I’ve read that others have had the same issue and Nissan refuses to acknowledge or take responsibility for the problem. What if I were away from home and this happe
While driving down a four lane highway at 50 MPH. The car suddenly applies emergency braking when nothing was in front of the car. If another car is behind this vehicle and this happens, there will be a major accident. This has happened on 3 occasions total.
On three separate occasions, the collision avoidance system activated without anything blocking it. One incident I was driving at least 35 mph thru and intersection and the car suddenly halted to a complete stop jerking myself and my 6 year old forward. The vehicle behind me had to swerve to avoid rear ending me.
2019 Infiniti QX50 Recall Campaign ID: R25B2 (Safety Recall 2025) Summary of Issue: I received a safety recall notice stating that my vehicle may have an engine manufacturing defect that could cause severe damage or complete engine failure. This poses a significant safety risk. Details: Contacted Infiniti Consumer Affairs on August 28, 2025 (Case #55702324) and my local dealer. Dealer confirmed recall is active but remedy is not available; they refused inspection even if I offered to pay. Consumer Affairs indicated proactive assessment may incur charges unless defect is confirmed, which I find unreasonable given the severity of the issue. No timeline provided for remedy or inspection. No alternative transportation offered. Safety Concern: Driving the vehicle under these conditions could

There is a continuous issues with my battery dying. There are multiple malfunction lights showing, particularly the rear collision light. The check engine light is also showing, and I have had an oil change recently. The car breaks on its own. While backing into a space, the steering wheel would not completely turn right until I straightened up the car. Finally. I have had my driver's side car seat repaired three times by the dealership. It works sometimes and not others. Any suggestions on any or all of this would be helpful. Thank you.

Turbo, Rear-Coupler, Engine, Actuator Car was squealing and I was told that the serpentine belt needed to be replaced. Replaced this. Car still squealing and took it back. They replaced the belt, again.. Still squealing, now I am told its the tensioner that needs to be replaced but only Infiniti can do this (belt done at Firestone). At Infiniti - they look at the car and the tensioner is fine. But my turbo is blown. How? So, they replace the turbo and then say the rear coupler needs to be replaced. Repairs done and Infiniti said all fluids are good, everything is great. However, I might see slight smoke and a burning smell for 100-150 miles as theres a thin layer of oil on the turbo that will burn off. Oil change isnt due for 5k miles and I checked before my short road trip - all is goo
