Brakes lights remain on when vehicle is in Park and in Drive without brake pedal activation. ABS is also engaged in Park and presents with hard pedal and no travel. I brought the vehicle to an authorized Jeep dealer in September 2014. Note- Recall Z48 software update was performed April 2023. Service notes state replaced ABS module, no change. Internal pressure sensor reporting 117PSI with no brake pedal input. Replaced HCU module. I paid $1529 for this repair. FCA refused to reimburse me on the original Z48 recall and now refuses reimbursement for the 94B/NHTSA 24V-838 recall.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with brake pressure failure on the braking system. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and diagnosed with a failed hydraulic unit. The contact was informed that the hydraulic unit needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The dealer advised the contact that the ABS module might also need to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and advised the contact to report the failure to the N

Both headlights blew out at the same time while I was driving at night. No visibility. Dangerous situation. No displayed message. Dealership replaced both bulbs. Cost was $200. They stated that it was not an electrical problem. Too much of a coincidence!
The ac does not stay cold. It cycles from cold to like warm and humid several times per minute. I have taken the vehicle in to the dealer several times. They have drained and recharged the ac to no avail. They have told me other customers complain of the same thing in the 2019s. It happens while the vehicle is stationary and in motion. This is a known issue that no fix has been established for.
Our 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee started to exhibit the following conditions: brake lights remained ON, ESC failure, AutoPark Failure, Cruise Control failure, vehicle started without depressing the brake pedal. I researched possible recalls and found Z48 for HCU/ABS module failures. Our vehicle was in the recalled build dates. We took it to Palace Chrysler Jeep Ram Inc. in Lake Orion, MI for repair. They "reflashed" the software, cleared the fault codes and returned the vehicle to us. In 3 key cycles, the failures returned. We took the car back to the dealership. They stated that the reflash wasn't done correctly. (blamed machine error) Reset the fault codes and in 3-5 key cycles the problem returned. Now on the third try, the dealership replaced the HCU/ABS module and charged us $1,
In june of 2019, I purchased the vehicle new. About the 3,414 mile mark, I had major electrical issues. While driving the car, all of the warning messages started flashing across my dashboard. The car became sluggish and felt like it was going to stop running. This all happened when I was in traffic moving forward. I felt unsafe. It went to the dealer. If my memory serves me right, they found about 75 codes had been activated by the computer. They could not find a problem with the car and gave it back to me. On my way home, it happened again. All the warning messages flashed across the dashboard screen while I was on the highway. The car was sluggish and I thought it was going to die. It went back to the shop and they kept it for about two weeks. Could not find a problem with it. Finally g

The UConnect screen is delaminating. This is a known issue for this year/make/model. Jeep has a history of repairing this under warranty. Despite my vehicle falling within their guidelines for a no-cost repair, they have denied my request. This is a safety issue because as the screen delaminates, it (from what I understand from other Grand Cherokee owners) becomes non-functional. This means the backup camera and critical vehicle controls and settings can be come unusable while the vehicle is in use. I have requested that Jeep repair this under warranty as has been done for many other Grand Cherokee owners (based on my own research).
I noticed that when it rains water leak in my truck on the driver side from the brake pedal. I has soaked the carpet and mat several time and also caused mewdow problems the vehicle was stationary at the time in sumter sc at my home

The contact stated that at the time of the failure, the vehicle was parked, and the rear defroster was activated. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the rear windshield was replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 53,800.
seatbelts 1 complaint shown
A few days after purchasing this car we noticed the front seatbelts weren’t retracting after unbuckling. After pulling out the seatbelt shoulder strap and inspecting it, it was cut and frayed, which was catching and not allowing it to retract. The front driver and passenger shoulder belts were both like this. We took the vehicle into a jeep dealer and had it checked out and had the seatbelts replaced for obvious safety reasons. The gentleman who worked on our Jeep said he had seen this on other Chrysler models as well.
engine 1 complaint shown
My 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee (3.6L engine) suffered a sudden and catastrophic engine failure immediately after the dealership misdiagnosed a coolant leak from the oil cooler assembly. The oil cooler on this engine has a well-documented history of cracks, coolant contamination, and sudden oil loss across multiple Jeep model years. On October 25, I reported a coolant leak to the dealership, including a photo of bright pink coolant. The service advisor incorrectly told me it was “oil mixed with coolant,” did not document urgency, and did not involve a technician. I received no warning that this leak was dangerous or likely to cause engine failure. Within about a week, the oil cooler assembly failed, dumping the engine oil, causing smoke, knocking, and complete engine destruction. There was n

Cylinder head gasket(s) has a leak. It limited my ability to speed up and keep up with traffic in a timely manner, requiring me to put on hazards forcing others to navigate around me causing a backlog of traffic and other potential hazards. I have had inspected by two different auto repair shops and both came to the same conclusion, they have also told me that they have seen this issue on the same make and model of my car and other surrounding years of the same make and model quite a bit. check engine light came on, and there was a sensor warning on the dash the day of the problem cropping up. Per the repair shops either this issue has been silently present in my car for some time or the leak in it is very aggressive due to the remaining volume of oil in my engine.
