My 2019 tacoma 4x4 dbl cab sr5 has 22000 miles on it and has a history of the brakes pulsing. The dealer has replaced both front and rear brakes at 5k and 11k miles, and now again at 22k miles. At each service appointment I complained that the brakes pulse badly, and they confirm that the rotors and back drums are warped. So they replace the rotors & drums, and the problem is relieved for a time, but the pulsing comes back within a few thousand miles. I keep telling the service people that there must be a different problem causing the brakes to warp but they just shrug it off.

When applying the power brakes at a stop the pedal after a few seconds starts to fade to the floor if released and reapplied they come back up to stop position and will fade again. When backing up and brakes are applied and backing slowly to house garage the brake starts to fade to the floor and has to be reapplied to stop the truck. Yesterday in a shopping mall I had to go around a parked car with another car headed in my direction had to apply brakes and slowly move past the parked car the pedal went so far down my foot hit the accelerator and had to take my foot off the brake pedal and reapply the brakes. Had truck back to Toyota dealer twice and they insist there is no problem with the truck. If you have ever driven an older car where the master cylinder fails that is exactly what it
Vibration in seat/cab while applying brakes between 35-15 MPH that worsens the more you drive it. Vehicle was purchased brand new and has 5000 miles on it and dealer states normal characteristic of vehicle- no problem found.

Brake pedal went to floor as I tried to stop truck from hitting a VW that rear ended a truck in front of them. I can still press brake pedal to floor taking just a few seconds to do so. I have forward this fact to my insurance adjuster, along with the dash camera footage of the accident.

Clutch pedal makes a fairly loud creaking noise upon release in the 6 speed manual trim. Once the truck is warmed up and has been driven a little, while shifting gears and releasing the clutch, the pedal creaks the full length of motion from bottom to top every single press of the pedal. Previous years have had this issue and it is covered by t-sb-0186-12 r2.
My vehicle (VIN# [xxx]) has not had safety recall addressed by my local dealership. The recall was initiated on 28 october 2020. The local dealership has had more than a month to make a plan to fix the problem and has responded to my request by stating that parts are not yet available and feel I should continue to operate my vehicle in its current state. Driving to the ups brake malfunction light came, engine light came on, traction control off light on, vehicle lost power, able to only move 1 mile an hour, brake malfunction light also said brake override, advise bring to dealer . Luckily I was a hundred feet away from the Toyota dealer when this happened living in a small town. Turn on my hazard lights and drove into Toyota dealership.
This tacoma sr5 is brand new, about 4700 miles on it so far. Noticing a lot of hesitation between the 35-60 MPH. After weeks of taking the vehicle back to savannah Toyota, its the torque converter. The vehicle has slow pick up and hard acceleration from a stop to position. Toyota says it's normal, but several other owners are having the same problem. I have attached the service order to the complaint.

Bluetooth randomly disconnects during a phone call. Happened about 5 times on my way to work. Used another phone and did same thing. Dealership said they need more complaints before a recall is issued.
Radio/head unit keeps rebooting. Even when no bluetooth is connected.
On entering an intersection the vehicle applied brakes automatically and without warning. At that time the path forward of the vehicle was clear. This action caused a safety hazard by stalling the vehicle in the intersection. Applying gas resulted in no forward movement. Oncoming traffic had to stop abruptly to avoid a collision with my vehicle. I have been to the Toyota dealership two times to have this repaired to no avail. The last communication from Toyota concerning my complaint was a phone call from a factory rep advising me that I needed to read my owners manual regarding this issue. At this point I an afraid to drive the vehicle. Please help. NHTSA ref# 247577.
A lot of us tacoma owners are having trouble with our blue tooth dropping out during phone calls. I live in massachusetts and they frown us from holding your cell phone to talk to someone. I purchased a 2019 and it has 900 miles and did not ever think this would be a problem with a brand new truck. To this day, it's still a problem.

This describes false alarms by the vehicle electronics. About once every four to six months, the center display on the dash says, "BRAKE," and a Sonalert-type steady beep comes out of the dash. This happens with cruise control on. In two cases, there was no vehicle in front of me on the road. I could not see any source of radio signal or radar interference (EMI) in the area or nearby. In one case, there were no vehicles nearby, no weather or other radars nearby, only a television translator station about two miles away. The brakes may have been applied in some cases but generally are not. Weather has been sunny and clear in every case when this occurs. So far as I can tell, these are random false alarms with no apparent EMI cause. They seem to be getting less frequent. I get frequent an

Unprompted acceleration - while driving at about 15 MPH in moderate traffic, I accelerated briefly and then let off the gas pedal. After releasing the gas pedal, the truck continued to accelerate and even downshifted, causing the truck to lurch forward. Conditions - I was in light to moderate traffic on my commute to work. The traffic was stop-and-go. The cars ahead of me accelerated, so I did as well. The cars ahead of me quickly decelerated, so I let off the gas but did not need to brake as I was a safe distance. The truck continued to accelerate well after I let off the gas and it lurched forward and downshifted in the process. The engine RPM went to about 3,500. I was able to apply the brake, and the acceleration stopped and the engine went back to idle. I have experienced decelera

The contact owns a 2019 Toyota Tacoma. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, the vehicle was idling abnormally rough. After shifting into driving and releasing the brake pedal with his foot off the accelerator pedal, the vehicle briefly independently accelerated. Upon reaching an undisclosed speed, the vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The contact stated that the failure first occurred after the dealer had replaced the high-pressure fuel pump. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was unknown.

Exterior headlights are inadequate as the illumination is inadequate and doesn't meet minimum safety standards for a vehicle on country roads. The interior switches are not illuminated and during evening operation making safe adjustments an impossibility. Auto-dim overrides normal safe high beam operation as sensor is activated from any roadside reflective surface while vehicle is in motion. The problem almost manifested in several near accidents. This is a major latent design and equipment defect and is unsafe in nighttime operation. *js the consumer stated that on the computer screen the left side index was masked during the day time. The vehicle did not include a transfer case skid plate. The steering had issues and was noisy as if driving over a rumble strip. *js *js

About 70,000 miles, bearings on the idler pulley and tensioner on serpentine belt failed. These have been replaced. About 75,000 miles, the rack and pinion began leaking from one end. I'm watching power steering fluid levels and expect to replace the rack and pinion soon. Note: I'm being told the design of this vehicle requires that the engine be partially pulled to replace the rack and pinion.
