2020 Ford F250 Super Duty, I have a Severe Death Wobble that has developed for the second time in a short period of time. The Ford Death Wobble is The Violent Shaking of the Vehicle can cause loss of control of the vehicle and difficulty steering wile vehicle is in operation at any time under typical driving conditions or speed. This exposes the driver and occupants of vehicle, as well as others who share the road with them, to an increased risk of accident, injury, or death. This description of death wobble was taken from a class action lawsuit that was filed in 2019. The first occurrence happened around 47,000 miles. I brought it in to the dealership; they said it was a steering damper not covered under the warranty. I paid for the replacement of steering damper. However the replacement

Truck lunges forward when at stop light, in drive and foot on the brake. Almost rear ended another driver. Did this several times. Also, when merging on highway and try to pick up speed the truck bogs down and hesitates almost got into two accidents because of this. Also loud clunking and banging on start up and when idling.

Transmission failed after 106k miles, incurring $7k of repair costs. The failure caused the vehicle to seriously hesitate and could have resulted in an unexpected slow down while driving. There was no warning ahead of time outside slight hesitation on accelerating which my auto repair shop determined was spark plug related. Then suddenly when driving my son home from a friends house the check engine light came on and hesitation was significant on 12/23/23. There are several bulletins regarding the 10 speed transmission in Ford Trucks and Expeditions, I've owned several Ford Trucks in the past and never had a transmission fail after 100k miles, conveniently after the warranty. These trucks should go 150-200k before having major mechanical issues. Ford will not recognize the issue

I have had several incidents when driving at night that I keep getting flashed by other drivers thinking my truck head lights are on high beam. I see there is a recall for other year models for the DRL is not dimming when the low beams are on. I am thinking this is happening to this truck. I am going to have ford look at it but they are just going to check light alignment.

Frequently application of acceleration results in no response from vehicle. When making turns into traffic and acceleration is needed to avoid collision the truck will not respond to throttle input. This has resulted in many near miss situations.

12/08/2025 ODI #11703632.0

when passing another vehicle in a passing zone, with gas pedal fully depressed, there is a 2 or 3 second lag time after releasing the gas pedal before the truck actually stops accelerating. this has happened since I bought the truck brand new from the dealership. first few times it happened it scared the hell out of me. I had to apply the brakes hard in order for it to slow down. I brought it back to the dealer to have it looked at (while having the windsheild wiper recall repaired). the ford mechanic stated that that was just the way it is. he also said others have had this problem as well but there was no factory directive to fix it. The problem still occurs to this day but since i am used to it and expect it It is not as terrifying. but still, this is a obvious safety problem.

In Re REPEAT complaints, 22S09 NHTSA Recall Number22v087 Stephanie at Ford Recalls arranged for Lenoir City Ford to do a quick inspection of the UNDERBODY INSULATION. We agreed no other work was to be done. L.C. REFUSED to inspect the underbody insulation in re this NHTSA Recall. The Service Writer was caught LYING TO ME 4 TIMES, demanding they could not do the Inspection without an appointment (Ford Rep said she had arranged otherwise) then stated they had to inspect wiring (irrelevant) and driveshaft (irrelevant, no loose insulation so there cannot be driveshaft damage). I put a Google Review on line (K8BYP) with all these details. This is the THIRD Ford Dealer that has refused or failed to inspect for this safety hazard.

This is the 6th time this has happened. All driving speeds from 60-75 mph. Will hit a random bump in the road and the front end will go in to a severe death wobble. When this happens you cannot steer the vehicle, or stop it easily. The only way to make it stop is to get slowed down to 20 mph or so. We have had it at the dealership we’ve purchased it from several times with no fix yet. It has become scary to drive for both me and my wife. Ford should have a recall out before it kills anybody.
