When vehicle goes over bump on roadway at elevated speed - vehicle steering vibrates uncontrollably.

12/31/2021 ODI #11445751.0

a safety issue that has been termed the Jeep "death wobble" has occurred numerous times over the past 6 months . When a bump or pothole is confronted , there is a violent shaking of the steering wheel and front end and it takes anywhere from 5-15 seconds to resume control of the vehicle . This usually occurs at a speed of 55-65 miles per hour . control of the vehicle is virtually impossible when this occurs and only resumes stability when speed of the vehicle declines. Three repairs have been attempted to correct the issue , with genuine Chrysler parts used , but to no avail. This safety issue and dangerous condition has been documented with Chrysler since 2010 and there are 2 class action lawsuits still in place vs. Chrysler, the most recent being one regarding 2018-2020 jeep wranglers ,

Death wobbles on a stock Jeep nothing at all has been changed on this vehicle. I am unable to take this vehicle anywhere without experiencing death wobbles. Dealership will be replacing the stabilizer, but many Jeep owners are telling me that this is not a fix and more of a band aid for the problem. I am seeing this same complaint over and again in Jeep Facebook groups. The bought this vehicle brand new and do not feel safe. This is extremely concerning on the freeway as well. This happens at around 45 mph 60mph and higher, I have to slow down to a complete stop for it to stop.

Southbound on I75 in Tipp City, Ohio it was windy 15 -20 mph. Driving in right lane, experienced a burst of wind which placed me into the middle lane, fortunately no vehicle occupied this immediate lane. Vehicles forward of me showed no signs of being effected by the wind, very fortunate no one had been beside me. This is not the first time similar loss of control has happened, I’m almost afraid to drive this Jeep on highways at this point. In-town, Jeep needs constant input to keep in lane, wanders constantly.

My Jeep is all over the road, I can hardly keep it between the lines. It zigs, it zags, the steering wheel has a 30 degree dead spot. I took it in to the dealer and they claimed they replaced my steering box. That did nothing to fix the problem. This Jeep is dangerous!

Loose steering and unsafe driving mannerisms secondary to poor aluminum steering gear from the factory.

12/21/2022 ODI #11498410.0

While highway driving, at about 50mph making a very slight curve to the right the steering wheel began to shake violently left and right making nearly impossible to steer the vehicle. This has been called the “death wobble” among many people who have had this happen.

My digital dashboard display is, shorting out. Started acting up on December 25th, 2025.

12/27/2025 ODI #11707262.0

The entire instrument cluster failed on my 2020 Jeep Wrangler and had to be completely replaced at the dealer. One day, when starting the vehicle, the entire cluster was off with no advanced warnings, no speedometer, no fuel gauge, no warning lights, no odometer, and no information display of any kind. The vehicle would still operate, but all gauges and dashboard functions were non-functional. To make matters worse, this occurred as we were leaving the hospital with our [XXX] child during a snowstorm. Our child had just been admitted for three days to the PICU for RSV-related issues. The safety of our infant was directly put at risk due to the complete loss of all dashboard and warning information while driving in hazardous conditions. We took the vehicle to the Plainfield, Indiana Jeep

The instrument cluster stopped working while driving. The panel is now black with no vehicle information displayed. The vehicle matches the description for a recall that has already been issued, but this VIN was not included in the recall. The current recall should be expanded to include this VIN #.

The sun visors break off and fall down, obscuring view of the road ahead. This happened on both sides after two years of ownership, was replaced under warranty, then broke apart two years later out of warranty. The dealership demands hundreds of dollars to fix PER visor. For the exorbitant price for a part that shouldn’t even wear out like that (or that quickly), the only alternative is to buy third party brackets to secure the visors instead. These brackets are not made or offered in any way by Jeep or Mopar. Broken visors on 2018-2024 models are a well-known and very common problem according to Jeep’s own service technicians and hundreds of other Jeep owners online. Jeep/Stellantis should be forced to issue a recall on the visors / install for free the necessary securing brackets and

Front windshield fails to defrost during cold driving conditions, allowing snow/ice to build up, directly impacting the driver's ability to see clearly out the front windshield. Vehicle was in motion, but has also happened when parked waiting to try and defrost so I could see clearly out of the front windshield. Defroster, on high full heat does not reach the left and right portions of the windshield.

12/27/2020 ODI #11385142.0

While the Jeep has defrost vents across the whole windshield, it only blows hot air from the center, leaning the sides of the windshield to collect snow and ice, even with defrost on its highest setting.

Driving on the interstate with cruise control set at 79 mph (dash has digital indicator of cruise control speed, as well) and the vehicle kept accelerating upwards of 90 mph without touching the buttons or gas. Then speed would drop/deceleration would occur intermittently going down as much as 9 mph before I stopped cruise control. I had to pull the vehicle off the interstate, turn it off and back on to enable cruise control to safely function again.

When driving at below freezing temperatures at night during snow storms, snow/ice will accumulate on and completely cover the headlight lenses rendering the headlights unusable. This is a problem primarily for vehicles with LED headlights. The problem happens on both the primary headlights and the fog lights

I started out with a slow coolant leak coming from the middle front of the Jeep, that I was not aware of, until it got worse. Now it’s a steady stream only when the engine is on.
