The 2020 (and possibly 2019) Porsche Macan passenger (right) side headlight (low beam only) is failing. About four months ago the right headlight on my Macan went out and after taking to the dealer, I was informed that the critical headlight failed (the car was less than five years old. Taking the problem to the internet, I found the EXACT problem has occurred to many 2020 Porsche Macans, and seems limited to the right low beam headlight. There are multiple cases reported on Reddit, Macan Forum, Rennlist and other Porsche boards. The dealer informed me that the whole assembly needs to be replaced, which is what all of the posts online stated as well. the cost to replace the assembly if $5,000 ($4,500 part, plus labor). I'd estimate the vehicle is worth $40,000, so one headlight costs

I noticed that my passenger side headlight was out but no warning was given in the dashboard. If I hadn’t noticed that the ‘round the corner’ lights were not working it might have taken me a while to figure it out presenting a safety issue

Passenger low beam headlight does not work. There is no “fault” message under “exterior lighting” indicating a problem with headlight.

The contact owns a 2020 Porsche Macan. The contact stated that when the vehicle was started, the passenger’s side headlight failed to illuminate. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was determined that there was a failure with the passenger’s side headlight LED circuit and that the headlight needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer, but it was not diagnosed or repaired; however, the mechanic confirmed the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.

Passenger side headlamp failure. DRL and HB working. low beam failure. Seems to be a common issue with 2020 model headlamp control module. Safety issue with astronomical repair costs from dealer. Request safety recall.

Problem Description: The low beam on the passenger side headlight has completely stopped working. Daytime running lights (DRLs) and high beams continue to function normally on the affected side. There are no dashboard warning lights other than the expected “check low beam” message. The vehicle was taken to Valley Imports Porsche in Fargo, ND, on 4/10/2026, where they diagnosed an internal failure of the integrated LED module in the sealed headlight assembly. They quoted approximately 5,000 for a full headlight replacement (no individual bulb or module repair is possible). This is a known recurring issue on 2019–2021 Porsche Macan models. Driving at night without functional low beams creates a significant safety hazard, as high beams alone are not a legal or safe substitute for normal lo

I have a 2020 Porsche Macan S. My passenger side head light went out and upon taking it to the dealership, I was informed that it’s a a headlight assembly failure. My car is out of warranty, and the dealership quoted me $5400 approx for replacement of the assembly. The diagnosis provided by the dealership indicates that in my case the issue is a full failure of the headlight assembly (LED/driver/module). That is a manufacturer defect. I researched online, and saw many Reddit users as well as Porsche Forums talk about this very issue on 2019 and 2020 Macans. I’ve seen and failure is not isolated: I have found multiple owner reports of 2020 Macan headlight LED failures, which suggests a potential systemic defect. I also see one complaint already filed at NHTSA with a very same problem/concer

My 2020 Porsche macan from delivery new on 10/2/2020 has experienced failure of back-up camera system (a DOT required piece of safety equipment). Many trips to dealer, being told it is software problem and I should just wait a few years for a fix as Porsche has none and refuses to spend anything to make repair or replacement. I am aware of other similar vehicles with same problem wherein Porsche is not doing a fix, but teling ownere to wait a couple of years! Sometimes hitting rear bumper with soft mallet restarts camera!!!

Passenger side LED headlight low beam failed prematurely. Hi beam and parking lights worked for a few months until they failed. Same issue as reported by many Macan owners. Failure reported on only 1 side of the car appears to be a manufacturer design flaw.

Passenger side headlight low beam is out. Hi beam and parking lights work on that side. Only way to fix is to replace the whole assembly. Cost over $5000. Headlights should not cost that much to replace the low beam headlight only. This is a SAFETY issue. This needs to be a recall. Many reports of the same problem.

My passenger headlight low beam went out. And it is a widely known problem with the 2020 year.

Rear back up camera distortion makes it virtually unusable and like unsafe. Porsche is aware of the issue as it is disclosed on their legal notice at https://www.porsche.com/usa/legal-notice/

Back up camera fails intermittently since car was new a year ago. Porsche usa and dealer Porsche of san diego have refused to even look into problems as I have not succeeded in bringing it to dealer when camera doesn't work! I have fixed it myself twice by hitting camera above bumper with my hand. This is dangerous, and car cannot safely be driven without a backup camera. I note Ford is recalling 700000 vehicles for similar problem! What do I do? Occurs when parked.

As I was stepping on the accelerator, I heard two pops and somehow the car lost its torque/pull. Check engine light came on. Went to the dealership and they said the high pressure fuel pump is broken and it cracked. There seems to be a recall for 2015 to 2018 models, but not 2020 models. My car only has 13000 miles too. Safety wise, I felt endangered since the car couldn't accelerate properly.

the rear view (and front and side) cameras work intermittently. This makes parking very difficult and when backing out of the driveway you cannot see if there is an object in the vehicle's path. Issue started several months ago and has been getting progressively worse (more frequent). Have noted that other owners have same issue reported on various forums.

The 2020 Macan developed extreme shakes with 14,000 miles. I had to replace rear brakes and rotors at 14,000 and fronts brakes and rotors at 21,000 at a cost of $3,000.00. Porsche has denied payment for these defective parts. They should recall and fix this ridiculous brake and rotor failures before someone is killed.

The contact stated while driving approximately 30-35 MPH, the front passenger's side and the rear passenger's side tires experienced blowouts, causing the vehicle to spin out. The contact was able to veer to the side of the road. The vehicle was towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed and a diagnostic report was sent to the manufacturer. The manufacturer sent a letter to the contact, stating that the tires experienced impact damage on the sidewall, which caused the tire blowouts overtime; therefore, they could not assist. A terrible drain design that has plugged drains emptying rain water into the car. The water from rear drain will fill into then Battery & Sub woofer compartment under under the spare. The drains are not easy to access for cleaning either. you have to be pulling off wheel liners and yanking/cleaning the plugs just so my car doesn’t flood itself. Porsche should modify the plugs so water does not flood into the car. This water damaged caused over $6,500 worth of damage. The main factor is the Airbag Sensors were faulted by the water damage. Might have effects the Airbag function if I was in an accident. That is what scares me
