Engine failure -- on 12/2/23 while driving the vehicle it shut off less than 2 minutes after I heard what sounded like a belt breakage on the car. The car would not start again. My safety was put at risk because I was driving on a busy street and the speed limit was 50mph. 1 day prior, the car slowed to about 40 mph or less after the engine light came on Then the wrench icon came on. I could not drive on the highway so I took the side streets to and from work. I started getting oil pressure warnings about 2 weeks prior but I just had my oil change done in October 2023. I did not know that I was getting warning messages until I looked at the FordPass app on 12/2/23 and saw several messages starting from 10/6/23 at 9:15am. The first message states " powertrain malfunction/reduced power

While driving on the highway a “Low Engine Oil Pressure” came up on the screen repeatedly. We immediately pulled off the highway before the vehicle started becoming jerky/shaky while running. We attempted to add oil thinking that might be issue but when we went to run the car again it became harder to start up. The car was towed to a nearby mechanic shop where the diagnostic assessment came back saying that the oil pump is broken. The vehicle could not be repaired at their shop at needed to be re-towed specifically to a Ford dealership. The representative did tell us that this issue has been popping up more and more with ford ecosports. Had we continued to run the car any longer could have resulted in serious damage and ultimately failure of the engine, which could have had severe conseque

The engine died in an unexpected earlier timeframe than recall notice. I had to get vehicle towed at my expense as no offers existed for recalls yet to the nearest Ford. This means it sat longer with a dead engine and battery not in use. The battery was brand new before the engine died. After Ford installed a new engine I picked up my vehicle. I now had a new problem. The battery light came on. It was late when I picked up my car and the dealership was closing. I notified Ford c/s the next day and they approved to take it back to ANY dealership. There are several Ford dealerships near my home. My 2nd option was Bill Fick Ford. In short I told them my story listed above + recall final engine repair due. Initially there was a female that approved towing and said Ford would help me with towin

Oil light and check engine light came on and notification for poor oil pressure out of nowhere. Car started making weird sounds and acceleration was poor. One minute the car was fine and the next I had to tow it to the dealership to get it looked at. Over 2 months now and the issue isn’t resolved as the dealership hasn’t received the parts that they need to repair it.

A low engine oil pressure notification popped up on my screen while driving on the interstate and then my car slowly stopped letting me accelerate over 65 mph. I had to get to the nearest exist because the car felt as if it was losing power. The car is now at a dealership waiting to be checked out. Check engine light came on at 24k miles. Alert on Ford Pass app said the engine wasn't heating up to operating temperature fast enough. Had a second Alert come up the next time I drove the car saying there was an electrical issue in the vehicle causing anti lock breaks and other important driver assistance features to not work including traction control.

12/07/2023 ODI #11558907.0

Several times now my engine has shut off while driving and in the middle of coming to a stop. Luckily my breaks still worked with the vehicle shut down. I'd have to put in park and manually restart the vehicle to continue driving. This is something that puts myself and others on the road at risk.

I bought a new 2021 Ford ecosport with several recalls. I've reported previous one on the recall list. However the following two are not on recall list. First, the back up camera is malfunctioning. It turns black when reversing. Secondly, within a week of purchasing brand new the vehicle had loose rail covering on top of vehicle. Not sure of the proper name. It fell off on highway SH 99. I had to pull over on shoulder lane and pickup the long black strip or rail from road. Only one strip malfunctioned. It could have caused an accident and hit car behind me as length of strip was one car size. I did not know what to do as I've never own a recall vehicle ever. The only thing I did was tell multiple dealerships nearby and ask for advice. They instructed me the cost to replace and that was it.

Exiting interstate 55 and auto stop shut car off. This has happened about 3 times. Once at a red-light. Another one I dont remember. Last was exit ramp. Scary bc of traffic behind me. Coasted car to side of road. Seems to be an issue as I'm slowing speed or stopped. Have to shut car off and restart. Not SAFE.

The back hatch window shattered for no reason. The car was parked at home. There was no reason for it to explode as it did. No road damage, the hatch had not been opened for days. The window just shattered.

My brakes let go while I was stopped at a traffic light almost causing me to rear end the car in front of me. Luckily the light turned green and the car in front of me moved before I ran into them. Went to try pull off the road to check what was going on and my brakes started working again. This incident put myself and others at risk.
