The cable connecting the engine block heater caught on fire near the plug. My right hand, thumb and index finger were burned while disconnecting the cable. I was able to stop fire from consuming the vehicle. How ever cable is burned near the 3 pronged connector.
On 11/19/25 , my 2021 Ford f350 burned to the ground due to engine malfunction. From what the fire department said.
This truck on a daily basis, shuts down with out warning. Check engine light comes on some time, some times get P0191, P0171 and other codes dealing with fuel rail and pressure. The Diesel Emission Fluid Injectors are becoming clogged due to crystalized DEF. This causes a DEF error to be generated which de-rates the vehicles speed over time from 50mph to 5 mph over a range of ~50 miles.
