Driving the vehicle on the highway when I started to hear a ticking sound from the engine. After a few minutes, the check engine light came on and started flashing, traction control shut off and some system related to the rear end shut off. After inspection, it appears to have dropped a lifter.

Freedom, tire and automotive Inc. advised my 6.2LV8 engine has failed due to metal debris found in the new oil, indicating a mechanical failure of an internal engine component. I called GMC and they referred me to you.

While accelerating the vehicle began to make an audible liquid grinding sound and three error codes popped up, one after another. The engine light began to flash, however the vehicle kept moving. I limped roughly .5 mile to the closest service station where I subsequently had my vehicle towed to the dealership where it was purchased. Later notified the lifter and CAM failed. Mind you, this vehicle currently has 55,000 miles and has already had the transmission replaced at 45,000 miles due to metal flake in the transmission because of a faulty hose from GM. While I appreciate the dealership ordering a new engine for me, I do not feel safe driving this vehicle, and do not feel it should be resold to anyone given the MAJOR safety issues associated.

On Monday, November 20, 2023, I was operating my vehicle on Interstate 80 in western Nebraska when suddenly and without any notice, apparently an engine lifter in cylinder 8 failed causing the vehicle to lose power while in heavy semi-truck traffic, while operating at approximately 80 mph, forcing me to avoid a collision. Since the incident, I have become aware that this is a known problem with GMC, and that they have extended their power train warranty under certain circumstances because so many engine lifters are failing, many without notice or warning. My vehicle is serviced every 6,000 miles at a GM dealer and also operates the OnStar system. Neither the dealer nor OnStar detected the failure or warned me of any issues that cause a stall while in traffic. Fortunately, I am an experi

I got 3 messages on the dash going off simultaneously 1. Service Traction Control System 2. Forward Collision System unavailable 3. Service ESC I could feel the truck bogging and shaking a little at this point Then soon after the check engine light was flashing and it was noticeably misfiring and rough idling. I pulled some codes at Oreillys and got back 1. P0300 misfire 2. P050D cold start rough idle

I was driving 55 mph and the engine failed without any prior warning. I was partially blocking traffic while waiting for a tow truck. The car was taken to a repair facility and diagnosed. Spun rod bearings on cylinders 1 and 2 damaged the crankshaft. I purchased this car $49,000 45 days ago and have made one payment on a car that is not drivable and parts are not readily available. There is a GM service bulletin because this is a known issue but not a recall. The power train warranty is up by mileage not time. I contacted the dealership and GMC and they will not assist with repairs.

While traveling on the interstate at 70 mph with husband and child inside, the vehicle started shaking and stalled. Had to glide off onto an exit ramp where the vehicle stopped and would not restart. Onstar ran diagnostics and came back with code P129F.

Vehicle will not shift into gear from park. When it's in gear (you can hold the button to select a gear to move), but as soon as you release the button - it goes right back into park. It comes and goes. I've been stuck in my driveway. Stuck at the grocery store. Had it once surprise me at a stoplight and was almost rear ended - that time I needed to hold the button to escape to the nearest parking lot. Dealer, of course, was not able to replicate as they said the issue does not throw a code. I have video and pictures, which I have supplied. Sometimes the engine light comes on too. Dealership did say there were some service notes in the system regarding a similar problem, but that gm has yet to issue a tsb. I'm honestly worried this will cause a major accident and

At the time an oil change is needed, there is a warning light that says "low oil pressure and low oil." There also has been a "slipping" of the engine at around 60mph. GMC dealer states it is a torque converter. I am worried that the engine will fail or stall while driving The fuel pump control module has been replaced. Motor is not covered under the current motor recall and taking vehicle to transmission shop to have it checked as well

The contact stated that the vehicle failed to exceed 40 MPH, and the vehicle was driven back to the residence. The vehicle was taken to BMI Automotive transmission shop, where the valve body and the intermittent speed sensor were replaced; however, the failure recurred while driving. The contact was able to drive to the residence. An unknown dealer was notified of the failure. The vehicle was in the process of being towed to the dealer. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately

My vehicle has a message that pops up and says "Service Transmission Now, Unable to Shift Soon". I took my vehicle in to a GM dealership and they did a diagnostics and told me that it needed to be "updated and "rebooted". This was not covered under my power train warranty because it was software. However, the message is stil showing and my vehicle is not shifting, jumping, and not wanting to drive- indicating that the transmission may be going out. This is a safety hazard.

Vehicle: 2021 GMC Denali Mileage: ~48,000 miles Purchase Price: $62,000 Issue: Airbags & crash sensors failed to deploy Complaint Text: I am filing a safety complaint regarding my 2021 GMC Denali. I was involved in a rear-end collision at approximately 45 mph, where I struck another vehicle straight on from behind. The impact was severe enough to total my vehicle, yet no airbags deployed, and no forward collision warning or crash sensor systems activated. This is especially concerning because this vehicle was previously involved in a front-end collision (not my fault) and underwent extensive repairs. I was assured all systems were repaired and functioning properly. Additionally, my vehicle had completed recall work related to safety systems prior to this crash. This is the second front

After noticing a "groaning/moaning" sound from the vehicle when turning sharp at low speeds the vehicle was brought into a dealership to be inspected. After inspection, the mechanic stated that the sound is coming from the rear differential and that it would need to be flushed/cleaned up to three times as a potential correction. If the clean/flush does not correct the issue, they would need to replace the entire rear differential. When asked what happens if the rear differential fails, we were advised that we could experience total failure and lock up. This is a safety issue in that if we are driving and the wheels lock up the potential for collision or major accidents is high. I also understand that the differential is meant to last the life of the vehicle and had 123k miles, the life of

traction control system ESC system Suddenly and without warning, multiple warning lights started flashing including check engine. The vehicle lost power and traction. There was a loud knocking and metallic whining sound. The vehicle began to vibrate and struggled to move forward and felt like the wheels were slipping. The loss of these functions was alarming because it was dark, we were in a construction zone, and my 15-year old daughter was driving having recently earned her driver's permit. The car following us almost rear ended us. It was such an abrupt engine failure it scared me and my daughter.

We were coming back from a trip with my children and this vehicle was barely 2 weeks old with 0 miles and we were on a highway when all the emergency lights on the dash went off. It was flagging the electrical system, the engine, the brakes. Honestly all the lights possible went off. The vehicle was lagging and it felt force when we pushed on the gas. Our hands were gripping the steering wheel to keep it in lane till we could get off.
