2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L owner complaints

The car updated itself and now my front collision warning light is on, I have tried to reset everything but still on. The update caused the warning light.

I think it is the lumbar support bag in the driver's seat. It has blown up and blown up and will not deflate, to the point it is SO uncomfortable to drive and the seat back has POPPED completely open. I have pictures. I have read in some online forums other Jeep owners with this scabies l exact model have had issues. Why isn't this a recall? Help! We should not have to bear the burden of the expense of this system malfunction. How we pool together to get this considered a recall that Jeep must repair?

The driver side seat bolster inflates and deflates randomly while you are driving. Usually on the left side of the seat.

Drivers seat self inflate causing the seat belt to tighten mid drive . Causes severe back pain.

The hood will pop open while driving. There is a safety catch so it won't open all the way but it urges you to get off the road. This has happened 3 times to me already. The last time was 8/4/26.

While driving, the power steering disengaged and made the vehicle difficult to steer. The power steering warning light illuminated in the dash and the vehicle went into safety mode. After letting the vehicle remain shut down, the error code rectified itself and the power steering warning disappeared. Vehicle was serviced by the dealership and a power steering module update was performed. The rack and pinion were inspected. The vehicle subsequently suffered the same issue. Again, after driving to vehicle to safety and shutting it off, the issue resolved itself. This is a safety issue that appears to be electronic and allows the power steering to disengage while driving,

The dash lit up with all lights and it said SOS Power STEERING is out. I could not turn the wheel. The lights such as my miles was blinking, the seat belt was flashing along with dinging even though my seat belt was on. There has been recalls due to power steering issues but my car isn't on there. It put me and my son at risk for a terrible accident. I have taken it to a dealership. There were no warnings prior to this incident.

Started the vehicle and while pulling down the driveway the power steering suddenly went completely out. Warning lights began flashing and I was unable to steer vehicle. There is a module that needs some sort of update I have power but my steering completely went out. All the lights in my dash came on, and my odometer started blinking. Ive read that newer models the 2023 edition also has this problem and has an open recall right now.

One day, I tried to start my vehicle using the push start button, and it fell off into a hole. There were no indications or warning signs that the button was loose or needed to be replaced. When I took my vehicle to the dealership where I originally purchased it for routine maintenance, they never mentioned that the button had worn out. If it were an emergency situation where I had to turn the vehicle off and the button had randomly fallen off, there would be no other way to turn the vehicle off or on.

A vehicle was purchased at McLarty Daniel Chrysler Bentonville, AR. The sales department had a third party install a non-oem windshield. Dealer attempted repairs, but the records show discrepancies of statements and record. The dealer ignored the instructions to recalibrate the windshield, though the receipt stated “elevated risk of collision” if not calibrated. Started driving home and heard the vehicle making clinking noises. Then the service 4wd light came on. It slips in shifting almost like the vehicle shuts down for a sec and then comes back. When you are sitting the vehicle will randomly jerk forward even in park mode. Like the brake releases and then comes back. It's very unsafe and with it shifting the way it does the actuator is failing which in return will cause a very bad accident. This car can just shut down at any given moment.

3 days after purchasing my used vehicle the "service transmission" light turned on for a few seconds. A few weeks later I noticed that there was a delay in gears shifting like harsh shifting. I took it to a Jeep dealership and they said they couldn't find anything wrong with it because when hooked up to the computer it was not throwing a code. The issue continues where theres a delay in shifting, once the shifting happens it will accelerate or slow down drastically where it feels like I am slamming on the brakes or step on the accelerator. I have had recalls on my vehicle since I purchased it and have taken it back to dealer and they state they are unable to fix them. I still have no brights still have a check engine light for the code on transfer case clutch and there is one that my tire could fall off. I drive 60 miles a day and have 3 small children this is very unsafe and they refuse to do anything about it

Jeep grand Cherokee L, the 3.7L V6 engine in the Jeep has experienced camshaft and valvetrain issues, often related to wear and lubrication problems. Sides a ticking and rough running/banging engine. Caused by faulty camshafts. The company knows the cam shafts are faulty, in Michigan the part is on back order by over 10,000 parts. The company is no longer creating the camshaft because of its known issues but also is not offering a replacement part or solution to the problem, repair and replacement of the camshaft through the dealer is 6months to a Year out due to the shear volume or parts and repairs currently needed by current owners. Leaving owners without a vehicle as they cannot drive the car once the issue arises due to potential damage to the head gaskets.

The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. The contact stated that while driving 30 MPH, all the air bags inside the vehicle except the steering wheel air bag, inadvertently deployed, without the vehicle being involved in a crash. After the air bags deployment, the seat belts were no longer operating normally. There was no air bags warning light illuminated before the failure. The contact sustained neck and back injuries, and medical attention was needed. There was no Police report filed. The vehicle was taken to the residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 84,000.
